The Hangout Music Festival kicks off on Friday (May 17) on the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, with a lineup that includes headliners the Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, plus Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Ellie Goulding and a whole lot more.
It’ll be a party for sure, but if you can’t make it down to the beach, don’t worry: MTV is joining forces with VH1 and CMT to bring you all the best moments from Hangout 2013 — the can’t-miss musical performances, exclusive artist interviews, backstage madness — that will stream live on our official Hangout Hub.
On-demand performances from all your favorite artists will also be available on MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com and LogoTV.com, and highlights from Hangout will also air on MTV, VH1, CMT, MTV2, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, VH1 Classic and Palladia. We know, it sounds like a big job … but don’t worry, we’ve packed plenty of sunscreen (no matter what Twenty One Pilots told us) and, luckily, we’re not doing it alone: We’re bringing an elite team of special guest correspondents down to Hangout with us!
Will VH1 ‘Model Employee’ Chrissy Teigen Be A Model Host At Hangout?
MTV mainstay — and star of — Vinny Guadagnino will be bringing his years of beach expertise down to Gulf Shores, along with model and VH1’s “Model Employee” host Chrissy Teigen (who also happens to be our total Twitter hero); electronic artist Dillon Francis; lifecaster/TV host iJustine; and 2012 Miss Alabama USA Katherine Webb. It’s a regular Dream Team, and all of them will be hanging out with artists and audience alike.
And it all gets underway at 11 a.m. Central time (noon Eastern) this Friday, May 17 … It’s sure to be an epic weekend, so make sure you stay hydrated, because Hangout 2013 is going to be hot!
