What exactly does a Spider-Man do, anyway? Ask Andrew Garfield, and he might have a creative idea or two.
Last night, on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” the late night talk show host grilled Garfield on his most recent hobby: playing guitar.
“I play very simple Cat Stevens songs and very simple Neil Young songs,” said Garfield, obviously shy at the merest mention of his new lease on life as a guitarist.
But the words “Fallon” and “shy” do not go together, unless he’s appearing in a hot tub on a “Saturday Night Live” sketch. As Garfield explained his newfound interest in playing guitar, Fallon pulled the six-stringed instrument out from under his desk, and begged Garfield to give the viewers a taste.
“This is the first time I’ve ever sung in public,” Garfield grimaced, grabbing the guitar.
“We’re very nice here,” Fallon insisted. “This will be fantastic.”
Fantastic? Maybe not. Amazing? Certainly, as you can see below:
Well played, Mr. Garfield. Well played, indeed.
“The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ is in theaters now.
