We went all out for Beyoncé’s birthday (with a ‘Happy Bey Day’ playlist, her Bey-o-Scope, and her fierce baby pics), but there’s no way Jay Z was gonna let the Internet one-up him. (In our defense — we didn’t have licensing to use their music as a soundtrack, so he definitely had the upper hand there.)
Hov posted a 33-second video clip on his Life+Times site to celebrate his wife’s 33 birthday — because he understands that the details really matter — and it includes snippets of her getting ready to hit the stage, rehearsing for their On the Run Tour, and, you know, just generally being awesome.
The clip is soundtracked by the portion of his “Beach Is Better” interlude where he calls out wifey by name, and transitions into “Grown Woman,” because now Bey can do whatever she wants.
