Watch LL Cool J Talk About That Time He Got Arrested For Humping A Couch

The “LL” in LL Cool J stands for “Ladies Love,” but maybe the rapper born James Todd Smith should change that moniker to “CL,” as in “Couches Love Cool J.”

If you’re shaking your head in confusion, imagine hearing the story about how the legendary “I Need Love” rapper got arrested that time in Georgia for humping a couch.

“What happened was, I was in Georgia—I forgot which part it was, I tried to block it out of my mind—but basically I got arrested for humping a couch,” he said in an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Thursday (October 9) night.

“I actually wasn’t simulating love with a couch, I was simulating making love to a girl…on the couch. And they just felt like they didn’t need a black man humpin’ a couch in Georgia.”

Authorities warned the “NCIS Los Angeles” actor beforehand that he’d be taken into custody if he bumped uglies with the sofa on stage, but he got “caught up in a frenzy” and dry-humped himself into oblivion.

“It sounds wild,” he added, while hoping the incident has been expunged from his record. “Like I just might start sweatin’ when I drive by a furniture store.”
