We Found Cee Lo’s Replacement On ‘The Voice’

Cee Lo Green surprised us all with his “bomb” of an announcement on Wednesday that he would not be returningto “The Voice.” Cee Lo has been with the show for four seasons and he, along with his cat Purrfect, will be sorely missed. However, it got us wondering: Who will replace Cee Lo in season 7? Based on the show’s successful formula of three guy coaches and a woman, I’ve picked 11 men that would make perfect mentors… and have great chemistry with season seven coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera.

Justin Timberlake
No one could be more perfect for this role than Justin Timberlake. Not only is he a talent beyond belief, (just watch his 2013 VMA performance) but if he joins the show, he would be sitting right next to Christina, which gives us flashbacks of the Mickey Mouse Club and their Justified/Stripped tour. Ah, memories.

Pharrell
It would make us so “Happy” to have Pharrell on the panel. Not only does he do the work behind the scenes, but he’s an accomplished singer in his own right. As a mentor in season four, he’s more than prepared for the red chairs. Also, if there is a chance to see Pharrell in that fabulous haton a weekly basis, then sign me up.

Drake
Drake would be a breath of fresh air on the show, bringing his million-dollar smile, his killer rap skills and smooth vocals. Drake’s nice-guy personality would fit in nicely alongside Blake and Adam, and I could see him getting his flirt on with Christina.

Robin Thicke
Robin Thicke already knows his way around the “The Voice” since he was a mentor on season two. However, with Thicke and Levine sitting next to each other, viewers may spend too much time trying to decide who really is the sexiest man alive.

Simon Cowell
With FOX’s , Cowell is currently unemployed in the U.S. The new dad promised we would see more of him soon, and with a seat available, we couldn’t imagine anyone more qualified for the position then Mr. Cowell himself.

Andre 3000
After a six year hiatus, Outkast is back playing 40 festival shows for this summer, and what better way to cap that off with a chance to mentor on “The Voice?” Andre 3000 is known to be a bit private, but out of everyone on this list he’s the only one who could match Cee Lo in the fashion department.

Harry Connick Jr.
Harry Connick Jr. is the best thing to happen to “American Idol” in quite some time, consistently
stealing the show on a weekly basis. He’s funny, he’s honest and we can already imagine him moving in on the bromance between Blake and Adam. However, this option seems unlikely since we can’t imagine “Idol” giving up their golden ticket anytime soon.

Macklemore
There hasn’t been a mentor on a reality singing show that’s strictly a hip-hop artist, and Macklemore should be the first. The Seattle rapper is hanging up the “Thrift Shop” threads, and taking some time off before heading back in the studio with Ryan Lewis, which gives him plenty of free time to take up a spot on “The Voice.”

R. Kelly
What would R. Kelly bring to “The Voice”? Well, his smooth R&B voice, a lot of leather outfits and the possibility of the contestants doing a rendition of “Trapped in the Closet.” Need I say more?

Diddy
Diddy has been known to have an eye for talent and has worked with nearly every major artist in the game. He’s a business mogul and knows the ins-and-outs of how to succeed in the music industry. And it just so happens he has some reality singing show experience under his belt with MTV’s “Making the Band.”

John Legend
John Legend is a nine-time Grammy Award winner with a voice that could melt your heart. Not only that, but he has some reality show singing competition experience too with the short-lived ABC show “Duets.” Plus, he could bring along his model-wife Chrissy Teigen as a mentor, which will ensure a lot of male viewership.
