Looks like “X-Men: Days of Future Past” director Bryan Singer will soon have a little X-man or X-lady of his own: the filmmaker is expecting his first child with his BFF, actress Michelle Clunie, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.
The baby, which is due in 2015, is being carried by Clunie as a surrogate. The director and the “Queer as Folk” actress have a friendship spanning longer than two decades.
“Mother and father are both very excited about the upcoming birth and look forward to co-parenting the child together,” Singer’s rep said in a statement to THR. “The pair have been planning this baby for years and have been trying for the last two.”
Singer is next slated to direct “X-Men: Apocalypse,” which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 26, 2016.
