And The 2014 Oscar For Best Bromance Goes To …

Sunday night’s 2014 Oscars may have been the most bromantic ever, and we’ve got the video to prove it.

Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey started it with a huge bro-hug following Leto’s Best Supporting Actor win for “Dallas Buyers Club.” That set the stage for the rest of the guys at the Oscars to get their bromances on and, man, were they epic.

McConaughey wasn’t stingy at all with his bro-love, letting Leonardo DiCaprio in on some of it after DiCaprio lost to him in the Best Actor category. Hugging the McConaughey? Not a bad consolation prize. Following in their footsteps, basically every guy at the show got into some kind of bromance, going from handshake to hug to huge, bro-y group hug in a matter of minutes.

But the Oscar for Best Bromance went to Brad Pitt and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who engaged in a hug that should have had doves flying behind it. Watch it and just try to keep your heart from exploding. Sure, Pitt also gave some love to “12 Years a Slave” director Steve McQueen, but it was pretty clear where his true bro-llegiance lay.

Just check out the video to see the bromances for yourself, and please, someone hug poor Bono. He needs it.
