Who would have thought that celebutante Paris Hilton‘s phoenix-like rise from the ashes of famedom would include lucrative DJing gigs?

And yet, that’s exactly how Paris has made a name for herself the last two years, stunning EDM fans and selling out clubs across the globe. She currently has a residency at Harrah’s in Atlantic City and frequently plays clubs in Ibiza, Shanghai and Dubai.

“I’m very proud. I’ve worked hard. I love music. It’s my passion,” she told Page Six.

However, her quick rise as a top-selling (and lucratively paid ) DJ has not come without a few haters. Masked brostep producer deadmau5 blasted Paris on his blog, saying her enthusiasm for EDM does not mean she actually has talent.

Diplo is taking on baby daddy status … again!

The prolific, globetrotting DJ and producer is reportedly set to welcome his second child with Kathryn Lockhart, his former girlfriend. According to a report from the New York Daily News, Kathryn is due within the next couple of weeks and friends recently threw a baby shower for her.

Earlier this year, Diplo and Katy Perry were rumored to be dating. Although the two have offered no official confirmation of their relationship status, they were spotted cuddling up at Coachella, Jamaica, and Seth Meyers’ Emmy party. So far, there’s been no word from Katy on the matter.

Diplo himself has yet to comment on the news, aside from the fact that his current display name on Twitter is “Baby Daddy.” But in this day and age that’s practically a confirmation.

Diplo and his ex-sweetie already have one child together, 4-year-old Lockett. An insider spilled additional details, noting that although Diplo and Kathryn are not together, he is still active in Lockett’s life.

More than two months after the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, new details about the shooting death continue to emerge.

According to a report in the New York Times, forensic experts found Brown’s blood on officer Darren Wilson’s gun as well as the interior door panel of the police vehicle and Wilson’s uniform.

As well, Wilson has also detailed his version of the events for the first time. Wilson claims that “he was pinned in his vehicle and in fear for his life as he struggled over his gun with Mr. Brown.”

Despite these revelations, this does not account for a number of inconsistencies in the story. For one, eyewitness accounts differ greatly from Wilson’s story. And Brown, who was unarmed, was shot a total of six times, more than even the large leeway officers typically have in situations where they face immediate danger.

After the announcement of the report, Brown’s family rejected the findings and Wilson’s claim that he feared for his life.

“The officer is going to say whatever he has to say to try to justify killing an unarmed teenager,” said Benjamin Crump, the attorney for Brown’s parents, to the Associated Press. “And certainly, his statement should not be taken above independent eye witnesses who are completely unbiased when he has every reason to be biased.

In 2014, even an annual pumpkin festival can lead to police in riot gear.

That was the scene at the Keene Pumpkin Festival late Saturday night (October 18) and early Sunday morning as an estimated 4,000 students from the nearby Keene State College in New Hampshire, University of New Hampshire, the University of Rhode Island, and University of Massachusetts turned their celebration into a full-out riot.

The festival typically serves as a celebration of fall and a competition of sorts as locals try to set a world record for the largest number of pumpkins in one location (last year, festival goers set a record with 30,581 carved and lit jack-o-lantern pumpkins). However, that was not the case this year as thousands wreaked havoc throughout the night prompting aggressive reactions from local police to end the rioting.

Unlike recent protests from young people over democracy in Hong Kong or the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, the cause for this actual riot is still unclear.

“I watched cops roll in, I watched the fire department roll in, I watched state troopers roll in with their batons out, ready to take on the crowd,” said Julie Conlon, a 23-year-old graduate from the university, to the Boston Globe. “It was crazy.”

You might have already noticed this over the weekend while you were sendings and receiving your best selfies, but the popular photo and video messaging app has made it official.

In a blog post on Friday, the company said, “It’s the first time we’ve done anything like this because it’s the first time we’ve been paid to put content in that space. It’s going to feel a little weird at first, but we’re taking the plunge.”

The first Snapchat advertisement is a 20-second video trailer for the upcoming board-game horror film “Ouija”, which opens October 24, just in time for Halloween. According to a report from Advertising Age, Universal Studios, which will release “Ouija,” edited the trailer so it would look like a “Snapchat Story.” In the future, ads will appear in users’ “Recent Updates” section and not in their active photo stream.
