Black Keys Go To Church In Creepy, Sweaty ‘Fever’ Video

by 05/01/14

The Black Keys are definitely feeling the holy spirit in the official video for “Fever,” the first single off their upcoming Turn Blue album.

In the first major clip directed by Rolling Stone magazine photographer Theo Wenner (son of RS founder Jann Wenner), singer Dan Auerbach gets sweaty as a bug-eyed, sickly looking, holy rolling TV preacher spreading the gospel to his attentive flock.

Jumping, waving his bible and gesturing wildly while seated drummer Patrick Carney nods along approvingly, Auerbach pulls out all the stops to get his followers to call his donation hotline. Dial (646) 397-6172 for a bizarre message.

The duo will undoubtedly play the track on May 10 when they are the musical guests on “Saturday Night Live.”

Mariah Carey’s Album Title Is Adorable.. And Confusing

by 05/01/14

Being a mommy has clearly had a huge impact on Mariah Carey. All you have to do is look at the long, complicated title for her upcoming 14th album for proof.

After promising to drop a Beyoncé-style surprise release, MC spilled the beans on her long-in-the-works next one on Wednesday night, revealing the title as, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse.

OK, first off, we know what you’re thinking. Yes, Bey had an album called I Am Sasha Fierce. But before you get all worked up, Carey explained in a video that the first half of the title is based on an adorable drawing she did as a 3-year-old (which is on the back cover) and the second half is, well, her latest alter ego. Step aside, Mimi.

The album is due out on May 27 (surprise!) and she said in a video announcing the project that the drawing was her “first and only self-portrait.” In addition to features from Miguel, Nas, Wale and Mary J. Blige, twins Moroccan and Monroe also have cameos on the song “Supernatural.”

I Am Mariah track list:
1. “Cry.”
2. “Faded”
3. “Dedicated”
4. “#Beautiful” (featuring Miguel)
5. “Thirsty”
6. “Make It Look Good”
7. “You’re Mine (Eternal)”
8. “You Don’t Know What To Do” (featuring Wale)
9. “Supernatural” (featuring Monroe and Moroccan)
10. “Meteorite”
11. “Camouflage”
12. “Money ($*/ …)” (featuring Fabolous)
13. “One More Try”
14. “Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can’t Give Up Now)”
15. “It’s a Wrap” (featuring Mary J. Blige) [deluxe edition]
16. “Betcha Gon’ Know” (featuring R. Kelly) [deluxe edition]
17. “The Art of Letting Go” [deluxe edition]
18. “Me. I ...

Future And Iggy Azalea Get ‘Frozen’ Out Of #1

by 04/30/14

Let’s just pretend for a minute that the “Frozen” soundtrack isn’t going to just dominate the Billboard charts until the end of time — or at least until Ed Sheeran’s X comes out.

Because, long story short: It is. After sending “The Lion King” back to the veldt last week by taking the crown for the longest run at #1 by an animated movie soundtrack, “Frozen” will easily put up a 12th win this week thanks to another 115,000 units shifted, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

The Future Is Now
The real action, though, took place just below Olaf and the gang, where Future and Iggy Azalea battled it out for second place. But it was ATL’s spaceman who won thanks to 53,000 in sales for Honest, which just barely squeaked by the full-length debut from Iggy, The New Classic, which moved 52,000. The other big debut in the top 10 was from Las Vegas poppers Neon Trees, Pop Psychology (19,000).

Pharrell About To Make History
Watch out Flo Rida, Pharrell Williams is about to smoke you. With 11 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart, Skateboard P’s “Happy” (208,000) now has the second-longest streak at the top in the chart’s history. The only one longer was by Flo’s “Low,” which spent 13 weeks at #1 in 2007 and 2008.

With the rest of the top five unchanged from last week, the new face in the top 10 belonged to, yup, Iggy. Azalea’s “Fancy” with Charli ...

Watch T.I. And Game Face Off With LAPD After Bloody Fight

by 04/30/14

T.I. and Game got into an intense standoff with Los Angeles police early Wednesday night (April 30) after two friends of theirs were beat up outside the Supperclub night spot.

In a video posted by TMZ, the two rappers can be seen facing off against a group of more than a dozen baton- and shotgun-wielding LAPD officers. The site claimed that some mutual acquaintances of T.I. and Game were denied entrance to the club, which resulted in an argument between the venue’s security and one of the men, who allegedly threw a punch at security.

In the video, security can be seen tackling two men, with a guard repeatedly kicking one of them in the face and body as he tried to cover up, and another group holding the second man down on the ground. The scuffle continued, with both men taken down to the ground a second time as police sirens wail in the background.

With one man’s face bloodied and officers cuffing the other, T.I. and Game appear in a second TMZ clip, with Tip asking repeatedly, “Is this a crime scene?” He quickly added, “Ya’ll got a lot of people to beat up. We got good lawyers.” With a face-off brewing between the police and a large group backing T.I. and Game, one of the men asked the LAPD, “Are you trigger-happy?,” while another yelled, “Yo, the police didn’t do it … security did!”

The entire group then ran off to another part of the parking lot as ...

Frankie Muniz And Floyd Mayweather Are Ready To Kick Donald Sterling To The Curb

by 04/30/14

Now that Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has been kicked to the curb over racially insensitive remarks he made on tape, there are plenty of people lining up to buy the city’s other NBA franchise.

In fact, the potential suitors read like a dream team of entertainment and sports heavyweights. Who’s interested?

Diddy

He’s got his own network, a huge liquor deal, clothing line and $700 million to blow. What Diddy wants, Diddy gets.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The boxing champ and “huge” Clippers fans said he’s not interested in three or four percent. “I got to get a solid percentage,” he said. “But do we want to buy the Clippers? Yes we do. We’re very, very interested in buying the Clippers.”

Rick Ross

He’s the boss. So now he’s ready to be the boss.

Frankie Muniz
The former “Malcolm in the Middle” star, who has loved the Clips since 1994, said when he flew out to Los Angeles from New Jersey for the “Malcolm” pilot in 1999 the only thing he wanted to do was see the team. “I am buying the Los Angeles Clippers,” he said point blank on Tuesday.

Oscar De La Hoya
Another boxing legend also threw his hat in the ring. “The league has made it known that it wants more minorities involved, and as a proud Mexican-American, I will bring a different perspective to the NBA in general, and the Clippers in particular,” he said. “I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I know what it takes to run a successful sports entity and ...

James Franco Says Lindsay Lohan’s F-List Is A Lie

by 04/30/14

James Franco has a message for Lindsay Lohan: nice try.

The actor/author was on Howard Stern’s satellite radio show on Wednesday (April 30) to talk theater, movies and his new poetry book “Directing Herbert White,” which, well, features a poem about Lohan.

Because he can’t get enough of the sex lives of his celebrity guests, Stern once again asked Franco to confirm rumors that the “Of Mice And Men” Broadway star had been intimate with Lohan.

“It’s a lie,” Franco said of the recently leaked list of Lohan’s alleged conquests. “I will swear on my mother’s life that I never had sex with her.”

Stern reminded Franco that the last time the actor was on his show he also denied sleeping with Lohan. “I will swear on anything you ask that I have never had sex with Lindsay Lohan,” said Franco, who has repeated his denial in a number of recent interviews. “All right, we maybe kissed… it was lame. I can’t believe she put me on that private list, she’s so delusional!”

Franco isn’t embarrassed that he made out with Lohan, but at this point it’s ancient history to him.

“When we made out it was so long ago … I was like a nice guy,” he said, recalling that their make-out happened when he was filming “Spider-Man 2″ in New York in 2004.

“‘Okay [I said], the kiss is enough.’ It was also like, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ She was young,” he said.

The pair have known each other for years and before he ...

Why Isn’t Naya Rivera In The ‘Glee’ Season Finale?

by 04/30/14

Rumors of Santana Lopez’s fictional demise are, like, totally exaggerated. Despite reports that Naya Rivera‘s “Glee” character is done and gone, reps for the singer/actress deny that she has been cut from the show.

Following allegations in the New York Daily News of on-set tension between Rivera and castmate Lea Michele, a spokesperson for Naya told the Hollywood Reporter that there is no feud and no truth to the reports that she’s been booted from the show.

“Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story,” a Rivera spokesperson told the Reporter. Like a number of castmembers, Rivera has been featured on-and-off during season five, mainly because her character moved to New York, where she was rooming with Michele’s Rachel Berry. “Glee” producers wouldn’t comment to the Reporter on Rivera’s future with the show or the speculation on a rift with Michele.

According to E! Online, Rivera’s character has reportedly been written out of the May 13 season finale, where she was expected to share a song with co-stars Heather Morris and Amber Riley.

Rivera, who has been on the show since its first season, is reportedly on a scheduled hiatus and has not received any notes from producers about her on-set behavior. For her part, Rivera seems to still love her “Glee” club, posting numerous tweets this week praising the show.

E! reported that it is currently unclear if Rivera will return for the sixth and final ...

Katy Perry’s New Favorite Lullaby Will Haunt Your Dreams

by 04/30/14

It’s not often you hear a grown man insist that you call him Katy Perry. But when Lil B says it on his just-dropped single honoring the ultimate California Gurl, he really sounds like he means it.

The brooding, ominous song from the BaseGod features the spooky refrain, “Call Me Katy Perry” over horror show keyboards. And while the verses don’t have much to do with KP (focusing mostly on partying, hooking up and B’s untouchable levels of swag), he does give a shout out to “all the girls that kiss girls.” So that counts.

Katy was definitely psyched for the shout out, calling it a “lovely #rare lullaby.”

It’s not he first time B has paid tribute to a pop idol. Back in 2011 he gave a shout to one of his other inspirations on with “Justin Bieber”.

6 Things We Learned About Chris Martin’s ‘Conscious Uncoupling’

Chris Martin was sick of being afraid. Afraid of love, of life, of success. Just afraid of everything. The Coldplay frontman has been quiet about his split from wife Gwyneth Paltrow so far. But in an interview with BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe, Martin finally opened up about what pulled the couple apart, and well, it was mostly fear.

Here are six things we learned from the chat.

1. Grow Up, Dude
Martin said what broke the couple up after 11 years wasn’t exactly a “breakdown,” but more of a moment of clarity. “This was more a realization about trying to grow up basically. Like I said, if you don’t open yourself up, you can’t appreciate the wonder outside,” he said, declining to get too personal. “So you can be with someone very wonderful, but because of your own issues you cannot let that be celebrated in the right way.”

2. It’s On Me
What changed for Martin was that he realized he didn’t want to go through life being scared. Not scared like, ‘Dude, that is a HUGE tarantula!’ scared, but the other kind. “I don’t want to go through life being scared of it, being scared of love, being scared of rejection, being scared of failure,” he said. “Ever since our band came out, we’ve been a very polarizing group because we do a certain thing very well … About two years ago I was [like], ‘I’m a mess really because I can’t enjoy the thing that we are good at and I can’t enjoy the great things around me because ...

Miley Cyrus Made Seriously ‘Questionable’ Purchases While She Was In The Hospital

Just days after getting out of the hospital following a a week-long stay to deal with a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, Miley Cyrus is back on her grind … and the proud owner of some seriously weird impulse buys.

The singer officially left the hospital on Friday and on Monday morning (April 28) she told Ryan Seacrest that she’s on the mend and really excited to get back to performing, while simultaneously horrified to find out what kind of pain med-induced impulse purchases she made while trying to kill time in her hospital bed.

“I’m doing good, I’m much better,” she told Seacrest on his radio show. “I’m happy to be getting back on the road … you have no idea.” The singer explained that she got sick with a cold/flu in the midst of her Bangerz tour, which forced her to postpone a show in North Carolina at the beginning of the month.

But what felt like a lingering cough got worse, so doctors gave her some antibiotics she’d never taken before. “I was on this medicine for five days, everything was all good and on the sixth day just I woke up … it was so scary … When you’re allergic to something you’re literally poisoning in yourself. I had basically been poisoning myself for a week with something I was really scary allergic to.”

And if you know Miley, you know she’s not one to sit around and not work if she can help it. “[Some] people [got] mad at me for bailing,” she said of the ...
