‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’: Watch The Super Bowl Trailer Now

“Looks like you’re giving the orders now, Cap.”

What could be more American than a trailer for a movie featuring Marvel’s most patriotic superhero premiering during the Super Bowl? Answer: Nothing. There is nothing more patriotic.

The second official preview for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” just debuted, and if there is anything that can get the adrenaline pumping harder than the Broncos and Seahawks, it’s this.

The second standalone movie for the star-spangled hero picks up the story of Captain Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) adjusting to life in the 21st century after taking a 70-year nap in an ice block. An alien invasion in “The Avengers” may have distracted him for a bit, but now Cap is on his own and facing the harsh reality of modern America and all of the ambiguity that comes with protecting it.

And sure, finding out that the government of your beloved nation may be choosing fear over freedom is bad, but then there’s the whole “My best friend, who I thought was dead, is now alive and evil” thing.

Bucky Barnes, Cap’s bestie from Brooklyn who took the plunge in “The First Avenger,” is back as the Winter Soldier, a brainwashed assassin sporting a sniper rifle and a badass mechanical arm, who plays a key role in the new preview.

In “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Cap is a full-fledged member of S.H.I.E.L.D., the government agency that may have a few too many secrets for his liking. At S.H.I.E.L.D., he’s joined by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Black “Red In My Ledger” Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who help him find his place in a world that isn’t as cut-and-dry as the 40s were. He’s also got a new friend in Falcon, the winged gun played by Anthony Mackie, who asks Cap how to tell the good guys from the bad.

“If they’re shooting at you, they’re bad,” Captain responds. Of course.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” opens in theaters on April 4.
