It’s been almost 20 years since Alfonso Ribeiro played Carlton Banks on “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” so when he brought his famous ’90s dance moves to “Dancing with the Stars” last week — complete with a recreated “Fresh Prince” living room set, a preppy sweater, and Carlton’s favorite song, Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual” — the internet exploded with happiness overload:

No doubt, Ribeiro and partner Witney Carson deserved all those perfect 10s for the immaculately executed nostalgia factor. But this isn’t the first time his dancing has brought viewers sheer joy. Here are Carlton’s dance moments ranked from purely goofy to actually heartstring-pulling…

Jay Electronica walks a steady and deliberate path. The New Orleans native could’ve released his major label debut album years ago, there’s been interest and a growing demand since he dropped his classic “Exhibit A” single in 2008, but instead he chooses to take his time.

The bad news is there is still no release date for Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn), the good news is that there’s a new Jay Electronica documentary coming and it looks like it could be the most interesting story ever.

On Monday (October 13), director Jason Goldwatch dropped a two-minute trailer for “Into the Light” on the MassAppeal.com. The upcoming film is comprised of footage that Goldwatch collected when he and Jay Elec traveled to Napal several years ago.

“Jay Electronica is full of mystery, and like a magician, his character lends itself to new ways of seeing things that would seem impossible to many,” Goldwatch wrote in his post. “Several years ago, Jay and I traveled to the other side of the Earth. We left a piece of ourselves there. In exchange, we brought back something entirely new, and the images that follow are a glimpse into that magic for everyone who’s curious.”

Curious can’t even describe our excitement after watching the clip which shows Elec meditating, taking part in native rituals, flying in a helicopter and holding what looks to be a falcon. Yes– a falcon!

According to CNN, a substance called graphene is the strongest material on earth, but the source’s experts have clearly never met Diem Brown.

The “Challenge” favorite, who collapsed and was hospitalized in August, has since been entrenched in a third battle with cancer — over the past few months, she’s has had multiple surgeries, been outfitted with a colostomy bag and endured excruciating pain in the area around her kidneys. Still, though her battle remains very much uphill, she’s got no intention of putting down the dukes.

“You can count me out all you want,” she told People earlier this month. “But I’m not out. I’m fighting. I want to be here.”

Brown, who’s been unable to proceed with chemotherapy as scheduled because of a drop in weight, explains that constant physical suffering has ushered her into the hospital once more. And though usual pills and potions haven’t done much to ease her torment, a certain alternative remedy — medical marijuana — has been unexpectedly helpful.

“I asked my doctor about it, and I’ll be totally honest — I had never smoked before in my life,” she admitted. “I did the vaporizer and it took away the pain, and I finally felt like I was able to eat.”

As we know, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose are dealing with their impending divorce differently. And it looks like Amber now has a new approach: Teasing us.

On Monday (October 13), the model posted a sexy picture on Instagram with a caption that suggests she’s getting closer to being ready to once again play the field.

“Single but not quite mingling….. Yet. Thx for the beautiful pic @brendanforbes @officiallyryanbanthony,” she wrote.

It feels like there’s some promise in that caption — like she can see herself getting back out there before long. And if that’s the case, it’s a positive turn of events from just a week ago, when she tweeted about her continued struggles dealing with the split from the rapper.

There’s no slowing down for Kid Ink.

The Los Angeles native released his debut album, My Own Lane, earlier this year, and he’s already back in the studio at work on the follow up. Last month, he released “Body Language,” the lead single to that sophomore project — which follows up the two-times platinum “Show Me” and gold-certified “Main Chick” from his first disc — and it’s showing signs of similar success, already sitting as the #22 record on Rhythmic radio.

In these exclusive behind-the-scenes photos of the upcoming video, Ink is joined by Usher and Tinashe — both of whom are featured on the song — for what looks to be a pretty sexy visual. The clip, shot in Atlanta, was directed by Darren Craig, who has also directed videos for Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Ke$ha and more.

Texas teen Mel Gonzales was living as Melanie just four years ago, a “studious, chubby girl with an androgynous haircut.” But after starting the transition from female to male during his sophomore year, Mel made history as the first transgender homecoming king in the history of Texas high schools last month.

This year’s homecoming king at Stephen F. Austin High School began his transition in middle school when he got a buzz cut. That new, closely-cropped look is also how the 17-year-old came out as transgender to his parents, posting a selfie on Facebook the same night. By sophomore year, Mel had started hormone replacement therapy and during junior year, he legally changed his name and gender identifier.

But it was when Mel started his school’s first Gay Straight Alliance chapter that things really began to change, and he started to feel more comfortable in his body.

“We were supposed to get a petition ratified to show that there were people on campus [who] would be interested in joining,” Gonzales told New York magazine. “Our goal was 200, and we had, like, over 500 signatures — so many people were receptive to the idea.” This all happened in one of the 32 states where you can still get fired from your job for being openly transgender, or for being gay or lesbian.

Over the weekend, Bill Hader hosted “Saturday Night Live” and brought his much-beloved character Stefon back to “Weekend Update.” During his usual recommendations for seriously unusual night clubs in “New New York,” Stefon name-dropped MTV’s Dan Cortese multiple times.
