Ever since J.K. Rowling tweeted a cryptic, anagrammed hint about her latest project earlier this week, fans have been racking their brains for answers about what the “Harry Potter” author might be up to. And thanks to the savvy work of hundreds of internet sleuths, now we know:

Shenanigans.

Fans didn’t take long to uncover the secret message hidden in Rowling’s bizarre tweet, which read, “Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won’t tolerate this nonsense.” And you might want to hold onto something, because what you’re about to read will shake the foundations of your very existence.

Needless to say, Potterheads everywhere began immediately losing their sorcery-loving minds over the possibility of a Harry comeback. Could the Boy Who Lived be making a cameo in her “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” screenplay, perhaps? Or, alternately (we write with trembling fingers) could the unnamed new novel she’s working on be a return to the wizarding world?!

Well, not so fast. The problem with anagrams is, sometimes they can decrypt into multiple different permutations. And after fans flooded her replies with guesses, Rowling returned with two more tweets:

In short, J.K. Rowling might be writing a Harry Potter comeback, or she might be writing something about magical fauna for her first screenplay, but she is definitely having way too much fun messing with our heads.

In Russia, gay men and women are “hunted like animals.” That’s the chilling message in HBO’s new documentary about the war against LGBT Russians, “Hunted: The War Against Gays in Russia.”

Though homosexuality was legalized 20 years ago in Russia, homophobic violence is on the rise in the country, and according to the documentary, it might be a plot by the government to distract Russians from the nation’s many problems. The situation is so bad that it’s thought only one percent of gay and lesbian Russians live openly.

The film chronicles the intimidation, fear and harassment faced by gay and lesbian Russians on a daily basis. Here are the 6 most chilling scenes “Hunted”:

1. A Father’s Film Festival Attack
In the movie, we meet Timor, a married father and jewelry designer who runs the “traditional family values” group Parents of Russia. We watch as he and a friend, Dmitri, plot to disrupt a gay film festival by handing out gift bags with soap and a rope and the message, “kill yourself and cleanse the earth of your wickedness.”

“This is Russia. This is hell for homosexuals,” a satisfied Timor says after a bomb threat is called in to the festival. In Russia, there are no such thing as a gay hate crime.

James Bond likes tuxedoes. He prefers his martinis shaken, not stirred. He sleeps around with alarming frequency, and kills people with alarming proficiency. What else do we need to know about the iconic British spy?

That question will get answered in the pages of a new comic book series published by Dynamite Entertainment, centered on Bond’s origin story. The publishing company has partnered up with Ian Fleming Publications Ltd. to adapt classic Bond stories, as well as tell all-new ones, including a series focusing on “the defining — and largely undocumented — early years of Bond’s career.”

“These new stories will draw inspiration from the Fleming canon to explore Bond’s ‘origins’: his raw early years before he gambled with his life in the first novel, Casino Royale (1953),” Dynamite revealed in a press release. “Some other familiar faces from the expansive 007 mythos will also make appearances in this series — criminal masterminds, hired henchmen, glamorous Bond Girls and secret service allies — alongside all-new characters.”

“Ian Fleming’s James Bond is one the best-known characters in the world, yet we know very little of his background and beginnings,” editor Mike Lake said of the series. “The Bond villains are some of the most memorable figures in Popular culture…where did they come from? And in some cases, where did they go?”

T.I.’s latest album, Paperwork, arrives on October 21. And after a couple of unceremonious leaks, the Atlanta rapper has finally released the project’s title track featuring Pharrell.

The song has an unexpectedly laid back and folksy vibe with Pharrell handling production and the hook. They produced the entire album together and “cinematic” is one of the words that’s been used to describe it.

“’Paperwork’ featuring Pharrell pretty much sums up the tone of the album,” Tip told MTV News recently. “The cinematic presence of it all. When you listen to the album, top to bottom, it kinda sounds like the score to a movie and I think ‘Paperwork’ is the perfect introduction to that.”

It may be the best three words Justin Bieber has every spoken (or the worst, if you’re that kind of girl).

No, I’m not talking about “Baby baby baby,” I’m talking about what I woke up to on Justin’s Shots account this morning: “Shave the monster.”

Let me blow that up for you:

“Shaved the monster.”

That’s right. JBiebs got rid of his mustache and it’s the end of an era — an era that we won’t really miss.

This isn’t the first time Justin has gotten rid of that fuzzy caterpillar. Back in August, he made top headlines when he filmed the lip hair massacre, delighting fans and tricking them into thinking it was mustache no more.

Gotham City is a weird, weird place — and sometimes, weird can be wonderful.

The city at the heart of the new FOX series already has its fair share of villains, of all shapes and sizes, from criminal masterminds Carmine Falcone and Fish Mooney to future Batman bad guys Oswald “Penguin” Cobblepot and Selina “Catwoman” Kyle. But then there are the rogues that only James Gordon will have the “pleasure” of facing — and he just raced the weirdest one of them all…

…The Balloonman, a pig-masked vigilante who runs around strapping the city’s worst scum to weather balloons, sending them up, up and away — until they come plummeting back to Earth, coating the streets of Gotham in guts and gore. It doesn’t matter if you’re a mobster or a corrupt cop; if you’re dirty, you’re on the Balloonman’s radar.

In their eventual showdown, Gordon learns that the Balloonman is a social services worker attempting to clean up Gotham because no one else can or will. He gives Gordon a unique vantage point over the city of Gotham (not literally), leaving the good cop to wonder just how far ordinary civilians are willing to go to rid their city of cancerous crime.

It’s a valid point, albeit one that’s made under the ridiculous guise of strapping people to weather balloons and sending them off to space. The fact that the victims eventually fall back to the ground doesn’t make it any less absurd when they’re last seen floating off ...

Because it would be selfish to horde the world’s supply of Taylor Swift for itself, the United States has graciously agreed to lend the “Shake It Off” singer to France, at least temporarily while she promotes her album.

On Sunday (October 5), the 24-year-old singer-songwriter set off for what would surely be a magical trek to Europe. (Meredith and Olivia are probably fine. I’m sure BFFs Lena Dunham and Karlie Kloss are cat-sitting in their matching pioneer-woman nightgowns as we speak.) With a 7:00 a.m. flight out of New York, though, things did not get off to the most magical of starts.
