Attention, Ciara And Angela Simmons: Bow Wow Shared Way TMI About You On ‘Wild ‘N Out’

by 32 mins ago

A gentleman never kisses and tells, but when you’re competing for Nick Cannon‘s comedy championship belt, all bets are off. Or so it seems.

In this sneak peek of Wednesday night’s “Wild ‘N Out” episode, Shad Moss — a.k.a the artist formerly known as Bow Wow — plays a game of “Plead the Fif” that may leave him in hot water as soon as he steps off the stage.

In this game, the “106 & Park” host must tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth or lose a point to the other team. But sometimes choosing the right to remain silent can actually be a win. Like when comedian B Daht asks you which of your famous former exes, Ciara or Angela Simmons, was better at a certain sexual act — perfect opportunity to keep your mouth shut!

However, to everyone’s surprise — including “WNO” frontman Nick — Bow Wow willingly responds.

“He answered it,” Nick says in disbelief. “I would have pleaded the fifth.”

Er, perhaps Shad’s going to need a second name change after Ciara’s baby daddy Future and Ang’s father Rev Run get a wind of this.

So which ex does Bow Wow say was better? Find out in the clip, below, and don’t miss “Wild ‘N Out” Wednesdays at 11/10c on MTV2!

Is John Boyega Playing A [SPOILER] In The New ‘Star Wars’ Movie?

by 7 mins ago

Warning: Possible “Star Wars” spoilers ahead.

With more than a year standing between us and “Star Wars: Episode VII,” it’s only a matter of time before character and story information about the sci-fi saga’s comeback start to unravel.

In fact, that time might be now. Over the weekend, one report emerged about how “Episode VII” begins — literally, its opening shot — and how that bit of information jumpstarts the rest of the film, including how it brings Han Solo and Chewbacca back into the mix.

Now, Badass Digest is offering up even more information on “Episode VII,” specifically as it pertains to John Boyega’s character. If you don’t want to know who Boyega is playing in the new movie, now would be the time to turn away.

According to BAD, Boyega is playing …

… one of these guys. Cue up your “isn’t Boyega a little short to be a storm trooper” jokes now.

The report says Boyeaga plays a storm trooper who “deserts and teams up with Daisy Ridley’s character.” What’s a storm trooper still doing in the galaxy far, far away, considering that Luke Skywalker and his fellow rebels squashed the Empire by the time the “Return of the Jedi” end credits rolled? Maybe it’s not as simple as all that. Maybe the Empire remains active, or storm troopers have been repurposed in some way. Regardless, Devin Faraci of BAD reports that Boyega as a storm trooper is “the single most confirmed piece of news I’ve ever written about ...

Chicago, IL – You know that one dude/chick at work with blue hair? You probably call him/her “the office hipster” and s/he just laughs and smiles and plays along — but will totally steal your yogurt out of the communal fridge later as revenge.

At Pitchfork Music Festival, friends, said blue-haired girl/boy is the norm and you are the weird one — dyed hair is as common here as ants swarming a fallen slice of pizza. #Seapunk isn’t dead.

We’ve got our favorite Technicolor heads here at Pitchfork Fest below (Not included: the author’s own tinted hair. Sorry I took your yogurt, dude!).

Now curl up and dye.

1. Katie’s red hair had us green with envy

rmarya_DSC_4812_copy

We bet Kendrick, who she’s here to see, will be able to see this Chicagoian from stage.

2. Grace’s purple hair don’t care

rmarya_DSC_4818_copy

She brought her awesome follicles all the way from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to see Grimes.

3. Chloe’s locks go perfectly with her sunnies

rmarya_DSC_4830_copy

The better to see St. Vincent with.

4. Emily’s green hair is definitely money

Her love of Deafheaven, however, is free.

5. Kendra’s blue ‘do is angelic

Just like her favorite, Grimes.

6. Check out Tae’s bold red locks

As bold as Earl Sweatshirt’s rhymes.

7. Josh, Alisha and Aleena look pretty blue

Panic! At The Disco Pledge $20 Per Westboro Baptist Church Picketer At Their Show

by 45 mins ago

The Westboro Baptist Church is an organization built on hate. The church is well-known for picketing popular musical acts who embrace and support messages of, you know, awful stuff like compassion, equal rights for gay and straight couples, and general respect of everyone’s human rights.

Recently, the group announced their plans to picket Panic! At The Disco‘s Kansas City, Missouri show tonight (July 20).

On Thursday (July 17), the church members even went so far as to record a homophobic parody of Panic! At The Disco’s 2006 single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” off the record A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out , dubbing their version “You Love Sin What a Tragedy.” You can listen to the terrible rendition at their website: godhatesf-gs.com.

Their song blatantly mocks queer sexuality, even including slurs in its lyrics. Panic! At The Disco frontman Brenden Urie has opened up before about his own fluid sexuality—though he’s now married to wife Sarah Orzechowski.

But today on Facebook, the band found a great way to troll these trolls. In a Facebook post the band wrote: “Today the Westboro Baptist Church is going to picket us. For every member of WBC that actually shows up we will donate $20 to Human Rights Campaign ‪#‎pride2014‬.”

As of now, the post has over 18,000 likes. We’re guessing that’s probably more than the number of picketers who show up at the show tonight. They also tweeted their plan, ...

A Baseball Team Blew Up A Bunch Of Justin Bieber And Miley Cyrus Merch

by 18 mins ago

Uh oh Beliebers, you’re not going to like this. Saturday night (July 19) in a baseball stadium in Charleston, South Carolina, the crowd blew up a bunch of Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber merchandise.

For those of you who may be unaware, back in the late ’70s there was this thing called “Disco Demolition Night” that became the stuff of sports history legend.

On Saturday, MiLB team the Charleston RiverDogs attempted to recreate the magic in the name of destroying, not disco, but Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.

Guess they’re not Beliebers then, huh?

beliebCharleston RiverDogs/Milb.com

“Like so many, we have taken special exception to Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus’s music along with his numerous run-ins with the law and her controversial performances,” said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. “‘Disco Demolition 2′ is dedicated to the eradication of their dread musical disease, like the original Disco Demolition attempted to do.”

The original Disco Demolition was the brainchild of current Charleston RiverDogs president, Mike Veeck, who 35 years ago crafted a promotion so outrageous — to eradicate disco music on July 12, 1979 — that it resulted in the last American League game to ever be forfeited. (The hooligans in attendance got so into the destructive affair that they ruined the field.)

This go-around, the ire of Veeck was geared towards Beebs and professional tongue-wagger, Cyrus. “We are going to take Bieber and Cyrus’s merchandise and memorabilia, put it in a giant box, and blow it ...

Actress Skye McCole Bartusiak From ‘The Patriot’ Found Dead At 21

by 9 mins ago

21-year-old Skye McCole Bartusiak died on Saturday (July 19) in her Houston home. She was found in her bed in the garage apartment next to her parent’s home by her boyfriend. Skye has suffered from epileptic seizures since she was a baby, and though cause of death is still unknown, it’s likely she died from an attack.

Best-known for her role as Mel Gibson’s daughter in the 2000 film “The Patriot,” Bartusiak also appeared in “The Cider House Rules,” “Don’t Say a Word” and other movies, as well as TV shows like “24″ and “CSI.”

“We lost our girl,” her mother Helen McCole Bartusiak told CNN. “She was a kind and really beautiful girl.”

The investigation into Skye’s death is ongoing, but she had been reportedly struggling with epileptic seizures again after a long hiatus. Epilepsy attacks can be completely random — and fatal — if the victim’s airway passage becomes blocked, or if they are alone during the attack.

“We think she had a seizure and choked and nobody was there,” her mother said. “They were working on her for 45 minutes and could not get a heartbeat. I’ve done CPR on that kid more than one time and it just didn’t work this time.”

Helen began to perform CPR on Skye before the paramedics arrived, but sadly, it was too late to restore a heartbeat. CNN reports that on Sunday morning, her mother was looking through photos of Skye’s wonderful life in order to find some images for the funeral. ...

Christina Milian Says She’s Not Dating Lil Wayne, Sorry Internet

by 33 mins ago

Despite rumors persisting in the days since their ESPY Awards outing, Christina Milian swears she is not dating Lil Wayne. And she told TMZ as much at a celebrity kickball game, hosted by Chris Brown, so you know she’s totally serious.

For those unaware of the doings amongst you, let us break it down: last week Milian and Weezy were seen gettin’ kinda handsy (read: holding hands) at the ESPY Awards.

But apparently that’s all just business, as Milian recently signed with Young Money Entertainment, putting Wayne in the driver’s seat of her career return and roll-out.

Her reaction to the hypothetical question of whether or not she’d ever date a producer or manager was interesting, though:

You never know, eh?? Don’t stop believin’, Weezy/Milian shippers!

Too much exuberance for one person. Follow her on Twitter @alicialutes.

Could These TCA Awards Recipients Be This Year’s Emmy Winners?

by 1 min ago

The Television Critics Association hosted its 30th Annual TCA Awards presentation last night, and the big winners may just lend a hint regarding this year’s Emmy Award recipients.

AMC’s “Breaking Bad” took home its second consecutive “Program of the Year” title, while the Netflix series “Orange is the New Black” won “Outstanding New Program.” Matthew McConaughey’s Rust Cohle circled his way into an “Individual Achievement in Drama” win for HBO’s “True Detective,” while “Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus took home “Individual Achievement in Comedy” honors for the network.

“True Detective” reigned victorious with two awards – both McConaughey’s individual accolades and the “Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials” honor – fueling the speculation that the first season show could trump the final season of “Breaking Bad” at the Emmys.

HBO continued to clean up with two awards for “Veep” – Louis-Dreyfus’ win, along with a tie for “Outstanding Achievement in Comedy,” shared with FX’s hilarious and refreshing “Louie” (can we expect a stand-up bit about this in the next season, Louis C.K.?)

We’re personally pretty jazzed to see “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in there (for “Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming”) alongside “COSMOS: A SpaceTime Odyssey” for “Outstanding Achievement in News and Information” – as we vehemently support any endeavor that pairs Neil deGrasse Tyson and RuPaul together on a stage.

See a full list of the winners here. The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air August 25th.

Legendary Actor James Garner From ‘The Notebook’ And More Dead At 86

by 24 mins ago

Sad news to report today, via TMZ – actor James Garner has died. Paramedics were called to Garner’s Los Angeles home last night, and arrived to find that he’d died of natural causes. He was 86.

Many of you will know Garner as the older version of Ryan Gosling’s Noah Calhoun in “The Notebook,” but what you may not know is that his earlier work made that casting decision wholly appropriate – his performances as Jim Rockford in the 1970s detective drama “The Rockford Files” and Bret Maverick in the 1950s western series “Maverick” were dripping with the kind of charm and charisma that Gosling could only dream of. Garner transitioned seamlessly between television and film, embodying almost one hundred different characters in his lifetime, including starring roles in “The Great Escape,” “Victor Victoria” and “Murphy’s Romance” – the latter of which earned him an Academy Award nomination.

Garner was born James Scott Baumgarner in Norman, Oklahoma in 1928. He joined the United States Merchant Marine at age sixteen during World War II, then moved to Los Angeles where his rugged good looks (and former experience on the water, perhaps?) earned him a bathing suit modeling contract.

He went on to fight in the Korean War as a member of the National Guard, and was awarded a Purple Heart. He called upon his military experience later in “The Great Escape” while playing Hendley, who held a similar position (called a “scrounger”) as a soldier.
