Do Usher And Nicki Minaj Have Another Hit? Listen To ‘She Came To Give It To You’

by 3 mins ago

We’re forecasting a little bit, but it seems like Usher has a banger on his hands. The latest single from his untitled eighth album is “She Came to Give it to You,” with a feature from Nicki Minaj and production from Pharrell.

This is Usher and Nicki’s second collabo (following 2010′s “Lil Freak”), and these two really do well together. This time, they teamed up over P’s funky, horn-heavy disco beat, making this one a potential hit in the clubs.

Nicki complements Usher’s tale of love in the club with her own ferocious bars that actually manage to promote safe sex — like only her Minajesty can.

Now we’re wondering if Ursh might make an appearance on Nicki’s upcoming third album, The Pink Print.

MisterWives’ ‘Vagabond’ Is The ‘Finding Carter’ Theme Song

by 21 mins ago

Before all of the twists and turns unfold on “Finding Carter,” MisterWives will set the musical tone with their tune “Vagabond.” And if you can’t wait until the show’s premiere episode to hear it, here’s a snippet:

In anticipation of the series’ debut, vocalist Mandy Lee, drummer Etienne Bowler and bassist Will Hehir were on hand this afternoon at an MTV and Pinkberry event in Times Square. There, they greeted fans, handed out CD singles and cooled off with some refreshing treats. It was certainly apropos, as a frozen yogurt shop is the hot spot for quite a bit of action during “Finding Carter”‘s first episode.

But even before enjoying a little Pinkberry, the indie pop trio were sampling some tasty offerings in the Instagram video below — and discovering that good fortune was headed their way:

+ What do you think of “Vagabond”? Sound off in the comments, and be sure to tune in to the “Finding Carter” premiere, tonight at 10/9c!

Oh My God: This Video Shows What It’s Like To Be Cara Delevingne

by 27 mins ago

Have you ever gotten back to your house super-late at night after a long, hard, eyeball-crustifying day at school or work only to be confronted by a horde of photo-hungry paparazzi? No? Well, that’s exactly what awaited British supermodel and professional eyebrow-haver Cara Delevingne when she returned home early Tuesday morning (July 8), and she filmed the entire encounter and posted the video on Instagram.

“Watch out, someone’s gonna fall over,” Cara can be heard saying in the clip. Venting on Twitter, she added: “I got home last night after a 14 hour day at work to see around 12 paps waiting for me. I just wanted to see my bunny and go to bed.”

She later tweeted, “I need an underground batman tunnel!” Wait, does that mean that her bunny would be Robin? Please let that mean that her bunny would be Robin.

Naya Rivera Is No Longer A Regular On ‘Glee’… But She Will Be Back

by 13 mins ago

Naya Rivera will be returning to the final season of “Glee,” but unfortunately for Santana fans, her screen time will be limited.

Reports have surfaced that Naya will be in season 6 of the show but no longer as a series regular. Instead, she will appear on a recurring basis, for an unrevealed number of episodes.

TV Line is reporting that Naya is the one who wanted less screntime. MTV News has reached out for comment, but have not heard back at press time.

A few months ago, rumors were running rampant that Naya was fired from “Glee” after an on-set argument with series star Lea Michele, but Rivera’s rep later said those reports were “absolutely untrue.”

Then, just last week, week both Michele and Chris Colfer’s Twitter accounts were hacked, with Chris’ tweet saying that he had been let go from the cast, while Lea’s hacker announced the news that she was expecting a baby.

Shooting for the final season of the hit Fox series kicks off later this summer and will take place in New York City. Naya’s character was rooming with Michele’s Rachel Berry at the end of season 5, and her relationship with Brittany, played by Heather Morris, seamed to be getting back on track. The two were set to join as featured performers for Mercedes on tour as she promoted her debut album.

13 Front-Row-Seat Videos Of The World’s Craziest Roller Coasters

by 23 mins ago

It’s Roller Coaster Season! Unfortunately, for you office drones, broke fools and summer school denizens trapped behind a desk, the amusement park isn’t a reality.

But thanks to the magic of YouTube, you can make yourself feel incredibly sick and dizzy anyway! Here are 13 of the best POV videos of the biggest, tallest, fastest, and most gut-wrenching coasters around.

Get ready to get motion sickness from the safety of your cubicle.

Ultra Twister

This Japanese coaster seems to simulate how food travels down your small intestine. It may very well make your food go the opposite way.

Sky Scream

A classic example of a coaster name that basically describes the experience. You’ll scream, in the sky.

Hades

Named for the Greek god of the underworld, who was well-known for his love of amusement park rides.

Shivering Timbers

The only wooden coaster named after the concept of substandard wood. Or pirates, possibly. Either way it makes it extra scary.

Banshee

A legitimately terrifying video, with a floorless upside-down ride.

Takabisha

Touted as the world’s steepest roller coaster, Takabisha has a devastating 121 degree drop. Its name is the Japanese word for “domineering.” Try giving your girlfriend that “pet-name” and see if she pushes you off a 121 degree incline.

Helix

The helix shape is most famous as the shape of DNA. Try to think about the work of Watson and Crick while you get completely scrambled on this coaster.

Hair Raiser

Or possibly Lunch Raiser, depending on when you watch this.

Maverick

The visible water in this video just makes it scarier.

Steel Dragon 2000

‘Transformers’ Writer To Tackle Live-Action ‘Dumbo’ Next

by 26 mins ago

Well this is certainly not something this particular writer would’ve expected, but: the scribbling hand tasked with creating the words Michael Bay then uses to bring his “Transformers” franchise to life, Ehren Kruger, has been tapped to pen Disney’s live-action adaptation of its 1941 classic, “Dumbo.”

Who knew flying elephants and autobots had so much in common, eh?

For those of you out there that may have missed out on one of Disney’s more emotional old films, “Dumbo” told the story of a wee circus elephant-to-be that’s ostracized and mocked because of his unusually large ears. After a kerfuffle that results in his mother getting locked up (for protecting her baby! How cruel), Dumbo lands a mouse-y companion who tells him that, with the help of a magical feather, he can actually fly with those big ol’ ears of his. We won’t tell you what happens next.

Does this mean, with Kruger at the helm, that feather will be, say, a feather that transforms into a high-flying device?

In its live-action iteration, the story is said to be more of a family tale that parallels the old “Dumbo” journey. No word yet on who will play the voice of this teeny, ambitious elephant, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for star of the now-departed “Trophy Wife,” Albert Tsai to take the part because he’s just too adorable. What do you think?

Wale Responds To Meek Mill’s Rant, Very Thoughtfully

by 23 mins ago

Three hours feels like an eternity on the Internet, and that’s approximately how long it took for Wale to write a response to Meek Mill’s accusations of him “hating.” The D.C. rapper wanted to say so much that he actually took it to Instagram, so he could go way beyond 140 characters.

Meek was upset that Wale hasn’t tweeted anything in support of his upcoming album Dreams Worth More Than Money, after the release date was announced on Monday.

In his rebuttal, Wale pointed out that just a few weeks back he was still trying to show support, by talking up Meek’s single “I Don’t Know.” He also admitted that he’s come to terms with the fact that he doesn’t exactly fit the mold of what a typical rapper should be.

Read Wale’s response below.

“Few weeks ago. (7w) I posted this .but ok. Movin along . My Avi always changed when it’s THAT time .. Ok that’s not enough y’all see “razor ramon ” post on his no. But I don’t care.. I wrote a long ass post day before his single dropped .. Mariah record dropped nobody said a word I didn’t care .. I still don’t… I carry myself with confidence and humility ., I always try to have a lighter side to MMG.. Cuz I understand I don’t “fit the mold” so if I’m tryna spruce an interview up to show that we not tryn be “serious tough guys” on the red carpet ...

This Robert DeLong Oberhofer Remix Is A Serious Dance Jam

by 29 mins ago

What would it sound like if an indie band — wielding a glockenspiel — stumbled into the dance tent at one of those big summer fests? Probably a little something like Washington electronic musican Robert DeLong‘s remix of Oberhofer‘s “I Could Go,” off of the Brooklyn band’s 2012 record Time Capsules II.

MTV Artists has the exclusive premiere of the remix — perfect for summer frolicking and raving alike — in honor of a new partnership with Glassnote Entertainment Group that will place jams by Glassnote’s artists (DeLong and Oberhofer) in the new MTV docu-drama “Virgin Territory.”

Check out the jam now — and picture yourself in the aforementioned whacked-out dance tent.

Potato Salad Kickstarter Raises Over $50,000, So Here’s How To Spend Those Taters

by 12 mins ago

So we’ve all had a laugh and an eyeroll about that potato salad Kickstarter by now, yes? (Perhaps more of the latter than the former for some of us.) His initial goal of amassing 10 whole dollars has resulted in an Internet frenzy that’s netted Zack “Danger” Brown over $50,000 as of the writing of this post.

…That’s a lot of freaking potatoes.

Fortunately, Brown has a better head on his shoulders than we’d anticipated. While part of us couldn’t help but despair at the fervency the Internet applied to this faux-cause compared to its efforts to help real, honest-to-goodness effective ones, Brown’s commitment to “do[ing] the most good” has instilled in us a bit of hope.

During an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Brown commented that though Kickstarter’s Terms of Service strictly prohibit him giving the money directly to charity, he’s open to ideas.

And, well, ideas have we got for him! Because that $40,000 can buy a lot of potatoes, sir. In fact, according to our calculations, Brown can buy over 121,212 potatoes. That’s a lot of tater salad, y’all!

Now, if we go by the numbers alone (still can’t believe I did math for this, you guys. MATH!) there’s no way — with all that mayo and creamy, delicious goodness going on — that the potatoes would even last for how long it takes to make 122,000 servings of salad. In fact it feels egregious to make $40,000 worth of the stuff.

So we’ve devised ...

Nina Dobrev Gives Us A Behind The Scenes Look At ‘Let’s Be Cops’

by 15 mins ago

Hey “Vampire Diaries” fans, are you ready to see Elena Gilbert like you’ve never seen her before — happy and hysterically laughing? Then you’re in luck, because Nina Dobrev is only weeks away from the premiere of her first big-screen comedy, “Let’s Be Cops.”

“This is the first comedy that I’ve ever done,” Dobrev explained to MTV News during our behind the scenes visit to the film’s Atlanta set. “I play Josie. She’s sort of the only girl in the film. The boys are carrying it for me.”

We doubt it, but much of the action we saw on set did revolve around the boys — specifically stars Jake Johnson (“New Girl”) and Damon Wayans, Jr. (also “New Girl”), as well as Keegan-Michael Key of “Key & Peele” fame, Andy Garcia, and Rob Riggle, who all had Dobrev in stitches during filming.

“It’s been the most fun for me, personally, because I’m usually on ‘Vampire Diaries’ which is a very serious set,” she said. “A lot of people dying all the time, a lot of blood. This whole experience has just been hilarious. I haven’t stopped laughing. I feel like I’ve gotten laugh lines just from being here.”

“Let’s Be Cops” hits theaters on August 13th.
