Kate Upton Is Topless On Instagram And You Are Going To Look At It

by 57 mins ago

If you woke up this morning to find that all your wifi-connectable deviced had been reduced to a smoking pile of ash and rubble, now you’ll know who to blame. It was undoubtedly the fault of Kate Upton, who posted a topless, tousled selfie to Instagram without adequately fireproofing the entire world beforehand. (And let’s not even talk about the part where it’s hashtagged #nofilter).

This is the first ever-so-slightly risque shot to appear on Upton’s Instagram, which usually showcases peeks at the model’s life behind the scenes on photo shoots or spending time with friends. But the photo strikes a frankly genius balance, managing to be both outrageously sexy and safe for work at the same time, thanks to an artfully placed bedsheet.

Still, take care not to look too long, lest your eyeballs and/or your pants spontaneously combust.

EXCLUSIVE: BROODS’ ‘L.A.F’ Is Perfect For Those Hot Summer Nights

by 1 hour ago

The new look this summer and last seems to be … being from New Zealand. Case in point: Lorde first demolished the scene at this time last year with “Royals.” And this summer, we’re primed to be hearing a lot more about kiwi duo, BROODS, who are premiering their new single, “L.A.F,” exclusively on MTV Wednesday (July 2).

Lorde was hip to BROODS — probably because they share the same genius producer Joel Little — way back in October of last year, tweeting a link to their single “Bridges,” laced with tons of praise. (Don’t worry if this is the first you’re hearing of them. We’ve already established that Lorde is cooler than you and, besides, we have this shiny new track to listen to NOW.)

“Kissing in the hallways/ Turn off all the lights/ Fragments of a lost love dissolve into the night/ And I’ll never get this feeling out of my head/ And I never wanna be the one you forget,” sings the brother/sister duo’s Georgia Nott over a spare beat — a beat that then explodes into a jam like too much oxygen and crashing waves and making out for the first time under the stars.

Singer Georgia Nott told MTV News that the song is one of their most experimental — but it deals with something pretty universal: hanging with friends.

“It’s a friend group-type looking out for each other kind of song,” she said. “It’s about that phase that you go through when you hit ...

‘Sherlock’ Will Return For A Special And Three Episodes

by 5 mins ago

Rumors have been flying fast and furious for the past few weeks that the BBC’s hit series “Sherlock,” a modern reimagining of the great detective starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman would be returning sooner, rather than later. And now, it’s been confirmed by the channel itself: “Sherlock” will return with a special, followed by three, all new episodes.

First, there was a brief Twitter tease:

And then, it was confirmed:

That last tweet is a reference to the ending of the last episode of the show, which found spoilers Sherlock being exiled from the UK, only to immediately turn around once the face of his old, dead nemesis Moriarty showed up on every television screen in London with the ominous message, “Did you miss me?”

Lest you get too excited, just know that the brief wait teased by the BBC isn’t all that brief: shooting won’t begin on the special, and new episodes until next year:

Does that mean the special will air in the UK during the Summer? Or will it wait until the traditional Christmas airing, as specials are wont to do across the pond? And will we colonials in the US have to wiat even longer to see the new series aired on PBS?

No news on that either way, but just know that something is afoot:

You can follow Alex on Twitter (@azalben), but not in person because that would be weird.

Justin Bieber And Johnny Manziel Can’t Party Without Cops Interrupting

by 33 mins ago

Because even the cops can’t put an end to this kind of party. Justin Bieber and Johnny Manziel could both benefit from keeping their names out of the press for just a few days, but apparently it’s impossible when you live this kind of lifestyle.

Biebs threw a big bash at his home in Beverly Hills on Sunday night, which Manziel attended, along with other stars that included Floyd Mayweather, Tyga, Tyrese and Chantel Jefferies (where was Selena Gomez — didn’t he learn anything from bible study?)

According to TMZ cops showed up twice to keep things under control. The first time, they responded to noise complaints, and the second time neighbors were disturbed by the mob of screaming girls outside of Bieber’s place.

We know Manziel was in attendance thanks to the photos Bieber posted on his Shots.com account.

And the timing of this is pretty funny, considering that less than a week ago Manziel complained that his Cleveland Browns teammates were tired of answering questions about his party life. Well, Johnny Football, it looks like the questions might never end.

Before The Dawn: Watch Three ‘Planet Of The Apes’ Prequel Movies

by 45 mins ago

In little more than a week, one of the summer’s most anticipated blockbusters arrives: “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” directed by Matt Reeves and starring Andy Serkis as Caesar, the super-smart ape who leads a community of his peers in a mostly human-free world.

“Dawn” takes place ten years after “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” which ended with a massive viral outbreak that rendered humanity all but extinct. But what exactly happened between “Rise” and “Dawn”?

Three new short films released by Fox and Vice answer that question. The series is called “Before the Dawn,” and it chronicles the ten years between the end of “Rise” and the beginning of the new “Planet of the Apes” film, focusing on the intimate side of global devastation.

The first film, called “Spread of Simian Flu,” takes place during the first year of the viral outbreak. It centers on a father and daughter who do their best to survive the beginning of a post-human world, and to survive the impending loss of their wife/mother.

In “Struggling to Survive,” a teenage orphan scrapes on by in year five of the apocalypse, trading items she’s stolen from dead people’s abandoned houses in order to survive.

The final film takes place ten years after the plague. It’s called “Story of the Gun,” and it’s easily the most action-packed and the longest of the three shorts, clocking in at nearly 15 minutes.

If you weren’t already amped up about “Apes,” these “Before the Dawn” videos should absolutely ...

A Guy In A Stormtrooper Costume Is Terrifying The People Of Kansas

by 46 mins ago

The ineffective plastic minions of the Dark Side have invaded Middle America!

According to local Kansas news station KWCH, several people in Salina were thoroughly freaked out yesterday when a stormtrooper in full Death Star regalia was spotted walking down the street.

At least one concerned citizen, noting that the trooper was “armed,” called the police, who discovered the man in the white plastic suit was not actually an invader from deep space, but just an ordinary dude named Chris Burns who was making a Vine with his friend.

Of course, the good people of Salina had nothing to fear, since even if this had been a real stormtrooper, he would have posed no danger to anyone due to his inability to hit any sort of target, ever.

Reportedly, here’s the Vine that Burns and his buddy made:

What do you think? Do stormtroopers pose a danger to small town America?

Films Bring People Together…Again
Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson have been cast in a yet-to-be-filmed Western called “By Way Of Helen” set in the 1880s. Hemsworth will take the reins as a Texas Ranger who investigates a series of mysterious murders while Harrelson will invoke fear as the preacher who rules their middle-of-nowhere frontier town.

‘Walking Dead’: Watch This ‘Disturbing’ First Look At Season Five

by 13 mins ago

They’re baaaack! Back to work, at least.

The cast and crew of “The Walking Dead” are knee-deep in the guts and gore that AMC viewers have come to know and love, with season five well underway and on track for an October premiere. But what can we expect when Rick Grimes and his fellow companions return to our television sets in the fall? Based on the first sneak peek for the new season, fans can count on even more blood and brains than ever before.

“This episode is so disturbing,” star Lauren Cohan says, “that some of the stuff we shot yesterday, I don’t know if it’ll make it to TV.”

Cohan’s co-stars share the sentiment, with Andrew Lincoln labeling the season five premiere as “the most ambitious first episode we’ve ever attempted.”

“It moves like no other premiere we shot before,” he says. “If this is what we have to go by for the season, then I think this will be the best season yet.”

Sure, that’s what they always say. In fairness, “Walking Dead” is in a unique position going into season five. While Rick and friends are always in danger, season five marks the first year where the band of survivors begins in captivity. At the end of season four, Rick’s group wound up imprisoned at Terminus, the so-called sanctuary that seems like a cannibal compound in reality.

The final moments of season four showed Rick and his allies trapped inside of a train car. But as the sneak peek ...

Nicki Minaj Spills ‘Pink Print’ Secrets In Pajama Party Twitter Q&A

by 15 mins ago

If you’re a Barb, you’re a Barb all the way. Which means that if Nicki Minaj announces at 4:22 a.m. that she’s getting ready to do a Twitter Q&A, you drop what you’re doing (or wake up) and get it together. Like, now.

So, while the hour was a bit inconvenient, when Nicki came calling early Wednesday (July 2) morning and asked for a hashtag for her pajama party session, her Barbz were there for her.

We don’t know that much about The Pink Print yet, but is it really possible that the follow-up single to smash “Pills N Potions” could be called “Hard F—ing Body?” That’s what Nicki said at the top of the chat.

It was late night, so many of Nicki’s answers were R-rated, including her response to how she would describe her collaboration on the Jessie J song “Bang Bang” in one word: “F—ING INSANE.” And whether she was feeling better after her near-death experience. The answer is yes.

A few other things we learned: Pink Print will not come out before Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V and she’ll definitely tour before next summer.

Here are six other awesome responses from the Q&A:
