1994 was an incredible year for hip-hop, and particularly its new blood. It brought us debuts from Nas and The Notorious B.I.G., as well as new discs from the likes of the Roots and Gang Starr. It was also the year that Outkast put themselves and on the map, and helped shine a brighter light on their native Atlanta.

With their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, the duo of Andre and Big Boi ‒ just 18 and 19, respectively ‒ laid a groundwork for what would become a legendary career.

Today, that seminal debut turns 20. Full of smoked-out funk and rhymes that balance pimp-talk and self-awareness, we take a look at the disc by the numbers.

31: Letters in the Album Title
According to Oxford, the longest word in the dictionary has 45 letters. Though it's not quite as long, and not in the dictionary (though let's be real, it should be), the album's title comes close, with a whopping 31 letters. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik definitely rolls off the tongue better than pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis, too.

17: Verses from Both Andre and Big Boi
The two fresh-faced MCs struck a perfect balance on their debut, as they each rapped the same number of verses. It averages out to one per song on the 17-track release, though some had more (two each on "Player's Ball") and some less (none on "Funky Ride").

One Direction kicked off their Where We Are Tour Friday night in Bogota, Colombia. And since most fans are very, very far away from this pinnacle event in 1D history (about 2,500 miles for me), we had to do some serious snooping.

Ahh... the glories of the Internet.

From what I could rustle up, it looks like the guys start the show with a video montage (sort of like last year's Take Me Home Tour), Niall wears plaid (squeal!), Harry wears boots and they play a ton of stuff from Midnight Memories, but they don't forget to throw in the hits that made them famous.

How about this high note from Zayn?

Niall rocks.

So does Harry.

Vine users katheeotalora and Veronica really pulled through for Directioners last night.

And — OMG — they did the rowboat move. Zayn wasn't too into it though.

Are you ready to meet the "Legendary Star-Lord?" Spinning out of Marvel Comics' ongoing "Guardians of the Galaxy" series, and timed to hit right before the first cinematic outing for the Studios' big-budget space-tacular, writer Sam Humphries is ready to bring Peter Quill's solo adventures to the masses.

"There was something about Star-Lord that I immediately gravitated to," Humphries told us over the phone, in advance of the title's official announcement at this year's C2E2 comic and entertainment convention in Chicago. "Star-Lord was something that I felt I could have a blast with."

Humphries has worked on a few titles for Marvel, but was searching for his next project when Star-Lord was mentioned by Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso.

"Pretty much before the words were out of Axel's mouth, I knew it was gonna be a great time," Humphries continued. "And I knew I was gonna take this on."

Peter Quill was first introduced in 1976 as a regular human kid who finds out his father is the alien king of a world known as Spartax. He travels into space, taking on the identity of Star-Lord — eventually joining up with the Guardians to fight evil and protect the galaxy.

"He's a charming motherf--ker!" Humphries said, laughing. "He's a down-to-Earth individual. Everyone has a friend like Peter Quill. He's cocky, he's arrogant, but he's always got your back."

He's also, as the title implies, legendary. Fans could read that as leaning into the joke from the trailer — Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) tells an alien he's Star-Lord, with the punchline being, "Who?" — and there will ...

Nearly four months after Justin Bieber was accused of egging his neighbor’s home in Calabasas, California, on January 9 to the tune of $20,000 in damages, more details have emerged about the incident.

In a police affidavit obtained by E! News, Detective Ginni Alvarez describes in detail what she saw in surveillance footage from Bieber’s home on the day of the incident. The affidavit was used to justify the police’s search of Bieber’s home days later.

“Upon my review, I observed a male white, who resembled and who I will refer to as Suspect Bieber, run from the direction of Victim Schwartz’ residence and up the driveway at Suspect Bieber’s residence and out of view,” she wrote. “Several other males emerged from Suspect Bieber’s garage door and a black SUV which backed into Suspect Bieber’s driveway.”

She continued that she saw “Suspect Bieber” and his friends run back toward Schwartz’s home. His friends later returned to Bieber’s driveway, where they hid behind cars in the driveway while they looked on. Bieber returned shortly after, and according to Alvarez, they were rather jovial.

“He was approached by the group of males, some of whom Suspect Bieber is observed ‘high fiving,’” she wrote. “Suspect Bieber and the other males appeared to be laughing and celebrating.”
