Chris Pine Pleads Guilty To DUI, Loses License

Chris Pine pleaded guilty to drunk driving charges in New Zealand on Monday morning (March 17), two weeks after police pulled him over following a wrap party for the "Star Trek" actor's upcoming movie, "Z for Zachariah."

According to People, Pine was fined $79 and had his New Zealand driver's license suspended for six months during the hearing in Ashburton District Court. Pine, 33, landed there after getting pulled over on March 1 and he told officers he'd had four vodka drinks at the "Zachariah" cast party.

A test showed that Pine's blood-alcohol level was 0.11 percent, which is just over the country's legal limit of 0.08 percent. During the hearing, Pine was silent while his lawyer entered the plea and told the judge the actor acknowledged he'd made a mistake in driving that night. The lawyer also said that Pine had suffered emotionally and professionally and that the negative publicity could impact some of his future acting gigs.

Following the arrest, the bar where the party was held, the Blue Pub in Methven, released a statement in which it said that Pine "did not appear to staff to be intoxicated to a level where intervention might have been warranted."

In addition to "Zachariah," Pine is will be seen later this year alongside Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and Anna Kendrick in the big-screen adaptation of
 playing Cinderella's Prince.

Exclusive: Giant ‘Godzilla’ Toy Reveals First Clear Look At Monster

A massive star like the monster at the center of Warner Bros. and Legendary Picture's deserves a colossal toy... And thankfully, JAKKS Pacific has delivered with the longest Godzilla figure on the market; a figure we're exclusively revealing here on MTV News.

The enormous, articulated figure (12 points total) stands 24" high (measured diagonally), and is 43" long. In addition, his tail swings back and forth, his mouth opens and closes and he comes packaged with the ability to drive Bryan Cranston totally crazy.

Godzilla first appeared on screens in 1954, spawning nearly 30 separate films, cartoons, toys and more. In 2014 director Gareth Edwards is rebooting the series (in association with original Japanese studio Toho) for a new generation. The movie stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen... And other than that, we don't know too much about the mysterious movie.

Though Godzilla is glimpsed in trailers and magazine covers, this toy — which was based on the movie character in conjunction with Warner Bros. — is our first truly unobscured look at the giant monster.

Diehard fans will surely pick out more details from the nuanced figure, but a swift eyeballing seems to confirm that this Godzilla is more barrel-chested than his man-in-suit version. Otherwise he hews pretty closely to the traditional design. Given the radical revamp in the much-maligned 1998 American remake, this ...

2014 Woodie Awards: The Most OMG Moments From The Show

In case you didn't hear, the 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards were a hell of a show, with performances from the likes of Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino and Iggy Azalea. In case you weren't at Austin's SXSW Music Festival for the show — or weren't able to catch it on replay during Sunday night's "mtvU Woodie Awards Special" on MTV — here's the most outrageous moments that went down.

Lil Wayne's Show-Opening Freestyle

Lil Wayne got things off to a legendary start, kicking off with the opening lines of his 2008 estandout track "A Milli," then busted into an impromptu freestyle insisting "I'm the one the tiger better have his eye on." "My name is Lil Wayne," he told the crowd, as if an introduction was necessary."Welcome to the 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards. Make some noise." And indeed they did.

Iggy Azalea Left Everyone 'Clueless'

Her Woodie-nominated clip for "Fancy" was an ode to the 1995 high-school classic, and she brought that "as if" attitude and oh-so-fetch wardrobe onstage to perform the track with Charli XCX. She and her backup dancers channeled Cher and Dionne in their sexy-schoolgirl garb - Azalea donning yellow-and-black plaid barely-there bottom and a sassy pair of knee-highs.

And not only was it stylish, fans at home and in the audience decided she "slayed it."

Vic Mensa's Epic Stage Dive

While viewers at home weren't lucky enough to catch it, the Woodies audience couldn't stop talking about Chicago-based rapper Vic Mensa's performance. And it wasn't just his bars that had the audience proclaiming he "murdered" the stage -- but ...
