Childish Gambino Takes The Woodies Stage Covered In Christmas Lights: Watch Now

Talk about an entrance. Draped in color-shifting Christmas lights, Childish Gambino walked to the stage during Sunday night's (March 16) 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards special singing the hook to his song "3005," while giving dap to audience members gathered in Austin, Texas for the 10th annual show
.

"Girl why is you lying, girl why you Mufasa," he rhymed. "Yeah, mi casa su casa, got stripper like Gaza/Got so high off volcanoes, now the flow is so lava." With his face illuminated only by the lights, Gambino (aka comedian Donald Glover), was joined by a marching band similarly lit up, as they made their way to the stage like a New Orleans crew marching in a nighttime Mardi Gras celebration.

As the hook of the song played out, Gambino shed his light vest and jumped right into "Sweatpants," hitting the song's lyrics hard in just a white T, board shorts and sneakers. "Hip deep in the Pepto/I got five on her like Ben Folds/I got more tail than that Petco/You faker than some Sweet'NLow," he quick-fire rapped, dropping more product placement in two lines than Hova himself.

His band grinding away behind him, Gambino wound things up by breaking into a dancehall-style patois, bouncing his way across the stage and getting so hyped he just had to drop the mic and walk off. Now, that is how you end an awards show.

Watch The 1975 Spread ‘Chocolate’ All Over The mtvU Woodie Awards

The 1975 singer Matthew Healy may look retro with his all-black ensembles, fishnet shirt, half-shaved head and 1980s-style New Wave pop vocals.

But during Sunday night's special celebrating the 2014 mtvU Woodie Awards his band did something very right here, right now: They won one of the show's biggest trophies and put on one of the night's hottest performances.

The Manchester, England, rockers, whose self-titled debut stormed the British charts in September, not only ruled the stage during Sunday night's special, they also took home the Breaking Woodie

. Presented to the emerging act that made the biggest noise this year, the band proved their mettle during a performance of their smash hit, "Chocolate."

Healy's shaggy male model looks, earworm melodies and winsome lyrics about a car that smells like Hershey's and girls who dress in black from head-to-toe and hide guns under their petticoats showed why the band took home some lumber at the show
.

"Well I think we better go/ Seriously better go/ Said the feds are here you know/ Seriously better go," he sang as the crowd in Austin, Texas, went nuts.

Shortly after leaving the stage, Healy said he really enjoyed the audience's wild reaction and, oh, what do you know? He also didn't hate getting his hands on the Breaking Woodie trophy. "That's really cool ... let me compose myself," he said. "Thank you very much for our award. We're very happy with it. We don't endorse the idea of music being a competition, but if you're going to give us an award, then give it here!"

Shailene Woodley Goes Down In This ‘Divergent’ Extended Clip

In the world of "Shailene Woodley), in this exclusive clip from the upcoming YA adaptation.

The scene, which premiered during the mtvU Woodie Awards, takes place on a rooftop in a futuristic version of Chicago. Tris, along with her fellow Dauntless initiates, stands on the edge of the building, overlooking a drop straight into darkness.

But this, like the jumping from the moving El train, is all a test for Tris to join the bravest faction of them all.

At the bottom of the fall, she finds her future instructor, Four (Theo James), waiting for her, and since this is a YA adaptation, you can imagine what happens between the two of them.

When Woodley recently stopped by MTV News with James to help Ellie Goulding debut her first video from the soundtrack, the actresses commented on her on-screen luck and having kissed every major male actor in the cast in various movies.

"I feel like I hit the jackpot, they're all great kissers," Woodley said.

But just because there's a romance set within a dystopian world, that doesn't mean that "Divergent" is any old YA movie. Woodley wanted to make sure that everything — even scenes where James is shirtless — to feel authentic. "He has to take his shirt off in that scene and we didn't want it to feel like, oh, attractive male lead taking his shirt off in a young adult franchise," Woodley said.

"Divergent" opens in theaters on March 21.

‘The Walking Dead’: Predictions For Tonight’s Episode ‘The Grove’

Only three episodes remain on the fourth season of The first of those three airs tonight, and it's called "The Grove." It's also the one episode of the season you absolutely can't miss.

At least, that's the case according to Robert Kirkman, executive producer and writer on the show, and writer and creator of the "Walking Dead" comic books. In a recent interview, Kirkman said this about Sunday's hour: "If there is one episode of 'The Walking Dead' that you absolutely had to watch this season, it would be this one."

It certainly sounds like "The Grove" will be a bit of a jaw-dropper. What kind of bombshell will drop on tonight's episode? Here are some of our guesses:

1. Tyreese and Carol have it out. Both characters are heavily featured in the previews for tonight's "Walking Dead." Tyreese still doesn't know that Carol killed Karen. Carol still keeps that secret. But that secret is going to come out, and it's very likely that it'll come out tonight. The question is, what happens once the cat is out of the bag? Can Tyreese keep his emotions in check, or will there be blood?

2. Lizzie will be revealed. There have been enough clues that Lizzie is the one who was tormenting rats in the prison. Just look at the way she tried to "pacify" baby Judith; not exactly a model babysitter. Lizzie seems like a true psychopath in the making. If she's revealed to the rest of the group tonight, what happens? Will she kill someone in the ...
