Now that the dust has settled on the 2014 Woodie Awards down in Austin, Texas, MTV has been hard at working boiling down the entire crazy day into 35 awesome-packed minutes for our “2014 mtvU Woodie Awards Special”, airing on MTV tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
We already know who the winners are, but everyone is still waiting for the best part: the performances.
During the show, we’ll see performances from the 1975, Childish Gambino and Iggy Azalea.
Lil Wayne shocked Austin when he dropped in to pick up Drake’s hardware for the biggest award of the night, Woodie of the Year — and surprised everyone even further, treating the crowd to an off-the cuff version of ‘A Milli’.
Meanwhile, Iggy Azalea put in more than a little bit of “Work” on the Woodies stage, bringing us an amazing performance, a preview of which can be seen below.
Winners of the Breaking Woodie award, the 1975 will also be performing. We chatted with the guys the other day and they told us a little bit about their love of Iggy Azalea and Three 6 Mafia.
