Dance, Edge And Some Rock? Here’s Everything We Know About One Direction’s Four Album

Have you recovered from the most amazing news of the day, month, year, that One Direction are releasing a new album and their new single, “Fireproof” is available for download? OK, good. I haven’t either.

They fivesome did warn us that the album would be coming “very soon,” but we didn’t know that it would be this soon, like November 17 soon. So what can we expect from the band’s appropriately titled album, Four? Well, here’s everything we know so far about 1D’s next effort.

One Direction With Some Edge
“Fireproof” may be an easy-listening, super catchy song, but it seems that the boys may be experimenting with their sound even more. While their last album was “quite retro,” the group told “Today” co-host Carson Daly that Four is “going to be a little bit more edgy.”

Story Of Their Lives
On their fourth album, the boy band have decided to take the reigns and have “literally written almost every song,” with each member contributing a hand in writing for this album. “Fireproof” was written by Louis and Liam, as well as longtime collaborators Jamie Scott, John Ryan and Julian Benetta.

Directioners, You Will Dance
Get ready Directioners because Big Payno is about the make you bust a move. Back in July, Liam instagrammed a photo of himself with the caption, “Just going to bed been studio written a pure banger for you guys who like dance more info to come.” We know Liam likes to dance, so this is definitely going to be good.

And Possibly Rock Out
If you were paying close attention then you noticed that the guys said they’ve written “almost” all the songs on the album, leaving room for the possibility of some collaborations. Could that collab come in the form of a red-haired British star by the name of Ed Sheeran? Maybe.

“I wrote a whole lot of songs that I gave to them that they are recording,” Ed said during our recent “Live From MTV” taping, before adding that it won’t be anything like the heartfelt hit “Little Things.” “It’s completely different. One of them is a song I really wanted to put on my first album, but it was too stadium-rock, so just expect stadium-rock.”

It’s Niall’s Favorite
Niall has already given the follow-up to Midnight Memories his seal of approval, saying it’s “by far my favourite yet.” Well, if it’s Niall’s fav then I know it’s going to be mine as well.
