First ‘Jurassic World’ Photos Bring Us Back To The Dino Island

Filming on “Jurassic World” started a little over a week ago, and we’re already getting a look behind the scenes of the fourth dino adventure.

Entertainment Weekly shared three set photos from the Colin Trevorrow-directed sequel, which brings that action back to Isla Nublar, the island home of John Hammond’s failed amusement park, for the first time since the 1993 original.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Omar Sy star in the new entry in the series, but only Howard appears in the first set of snapshots from the Hawaii shoot. She stands in a futuristic-looking complex.

The other photos are somewhat less insightful, but still exciting for “Jurassic Park” fans. Because who doesn’t love any car with a “Jurassic Park” logo decal on the door?

The final shot focuses more on the incredible landscapes of Hawaii, and suddenly the John Williams theme is burrowing back into my mind.

When MTV News spoke with Pratt back in February, he shared what got him personally excited about another trip back to Jurassic Park.

“What I liked about it was it answers the question, ‘Why would you do that?’ How do you suspend disbelief to be like ‘Oh, yes, let’s make this mistake again’? ‘We haven’t learned our lesson about dinosaurs. We should definitely live with them to see how that works out after three tries at it,’ ” Pratt said. “[Trevorrow] answers the question really well through the script. Colin did a great job of writing it and justifying it, in his own way having fun with. Anybody who goes in with that question will be really amused, the way I was, about how they answer that.”

“Jurassic World” opens in theaters on June 12, 2015.
