They say the third time’s a charm, but surely Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale have the hang of raising little boys by now. Stefani gave birth to Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, the couple’s third son, on Friday (February 28).
Rossdale tweeted an announcement and shed some light on the baby’s name Saturday.
“welcome APOLLO BOWIE FLYNN ROSSDALE 2/28/14” he said. “bowie and Flynn =mothers’ maiden names )”
No Doubt frontwoman Stefani, 44, has been married to the 47-year-old Bush singer since September 14, 2002. Their older sons are Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5.
Fans of Stefani have been able to follow her pregnancy in part via Instagram, which she joined with an announcement of the baby’s gender in January.
“I was ready to hand over the crown. but I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys,” she captioned a picture of herself wearing a crown.
Hold tight to that crown, Gwen.
