Kelly Clarkson has an announcement: she’s “officially” having a baby girl.
“We just found out we’re having a girl officially!” Clarkson tweeted on Monday (January 20). “I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!”
Clarkson wed husband and talent manager Brandon Blackstock in October and announced her pregnancy the following month. She has had a mother’s intuition from the start of her pregnancy, predicting that she was going to have a baby in pink.
“I’m totally gonna have a girl,” Clarkson told Parade Magazine in November. “I’m manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you’re gonna be like, ‘That chick knew it!’ “
And even though Clarkson is expecting the “coolest kid ever” in less than six months, it doesn’t mean it’s been an easy pregnancy for the pop star, who revealed last month to Ellen DeGeneres that she throws up “a good dozen times a day.”
“I’m not even kidding, it’s so bad. It’s so bad. It’s, like, so gross,” Clarkson said. “And that’s the thing too, you’re not attractive when you’re pregnant. Everybody tells you [that] you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That is total crap. My nails are short, my hair still falls out — it’s not all lush and beautiful — and I have no glow. Unless it’s, like, something left over from a bad throw up. It’s horrible.”
This will be Clarkson’s first child who joins her husband’s two children from a previous relationship.
