Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Re-Enact ‘Mean Girls’… And It’s So Fetch

“So you agree. You think you’re really pretty.”

Chances are, if you were born between 1971 and yesterday, you’ve heard and recited the words of “the queen bee, the star” Regina George in the 2004’s comedy “Mean Girls.”

But you haven’t reallyheard them until the true queen bee, the real “star” says them.

We’re talking about Mariah Carey, of course. The “#Beautiful” singer stopped by “MTV First: Mariah Carey” to debut the fanciful video for “You’re Mine.” In the middle of an in-depth chat with MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway about her unconditional love for her lambs and why she really hated “American Idol,” husband and “Wild N Out” host Nick Cannon crashed the interview — and, according to Mariah, “took over the whole show.”

After grilling Cannon on why, exactly, he’s ditching his wife on Valentine’s Day, the couple paid tribute to the 10-year-old comedy by re-enacting the iconic scene of when Cady met Regina.

The casting was easy: Mariah assumed the position of Regina, because, “of course, duh.” And while had her doubts as to whether Nick had the acting chops to play the public-school virgin Cady Heron — “You’re going to try to change the whole dialogue and ruin it,” she groaned — it’s all pretty fetch.

Mariah is surely sweeter than selfish, back-stabbing slut faced ho-bag, but when she says “shut up,” it sounds eerily spot on.

This was just one of several can’t-miss moments from our “MTV First” sit-down. Check out the full interview here
