Miley Cyrus may look nearly unrecognizable in the latest issue of W magazine, but when you read her latest interview, there is no denying that it is the one and only Miley.
The sultry spread, which has Cyrus posing naked on the cover, features the “We Can’t Stop” singer getting candid and honest with interviewer Ronan Farrow in the magazine’s March “Social Media Issue,” which is bound to raise a few eyebrows — or bleached eyebrows in Miley’s case.
The article is a reminder that Cyrus is an individual who knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
From her thoughts on children to her love of weed to harsh critics, Miley has an opinion on it all, and MTV News has rounded up eight standout quotes from her latest interview that show that Miley is just being Miley.
1. Miley Talks Kids
Even though Miley loves her Smilers, there is one thing she doesn’t like: kids. She tells the magazine, “They’re so f—ing mean. Sometimes I hear kids with their parents, and I want to go over and, like, smack them myself … Like, if they meet me, they’ll be like, ‘Mom, don’t you know how to use an iPhone? Like, can you take the picture?’ I’m like, ‘Dude, if I ever talked to my mom like that when I was a kid, I would have had no phone, no computer, no TV, no anything.’ And so, yeah, kids are just mean.”
2. No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem
Everyone knows by now that Miley’s wardrobe has taken on the motto “less is more,” and she credits that to growing up on a 500-acre farm in Franklin, Tennessee.
“We never were inside, and we never wore shoes,” she recalls. “I think it’s why I like wearing no clothes so much and I’m always naked.”
Since she hasn’t been afraid to bare all, she has been compared to everyone from Madonna to Blondie and Joan Jett. “Jett’s the one that I still get a little shaky around. She did what I did in such a crazier way. I mean, girls then weren’t supposed to wear leather pants and, like, f—ing rock out. And she did,” she said.

At 21, Miley has accomplished more than some artists will in a lifetime, and hopes, like other artists before her, she can continue to make music, not because she needs to, but because she wants to.

7. Don’t Take Miley to Dinner
Since parting ways with former fiancé Liam Hemsworth, Miley has been keeping a low profile on the dating scene and is “not tying to jump into a relationship.” However, she did offer up some advice for guys on what not to do when she’s ready to date again.
“I don’t need you to impress me. I don’t want you to, like, take me to fancy restaurants. I hate sitting down for dinner!” she says. “You don’t have to do that to me! You don’t have to take me on trips! I literally just want to chill here!”
8. She’s a Homebody
Very rarely do you see Miley Cyrus hitting the clubs until the wee hours of the morning, and that’s because she’s perfectly content spending time at home.
“I never leave the house,” Cyrus explains. “Why go to a movie? I’ve got a huge-ass TV. We’ve got a chef here that can make you great food. We don’t need to leave. I would just rather be here where I’m completely locked in.”
