Miley’s “Bangerz” tour hit a celebrity-packed Staples Center on Saturday night. Khloe Kardashian got cozy with the Bangerz bear, Christina Aguilera showed solid support of Miley’s “dirrty girl” chaps, and Katy Perry? Well, well, she kissed a girl and she liked it.
Sam Worthington Arrested For Attacking Photog
The “Avatar” star was arrested in New York on Sunday after he punched a paparazzo in Greenwich Village. Apparently the photog had kicked Worthington’s girlfriend, model Lara Bingle, causing the actor to lash out, socking the pap in the face. Charged with assault, Worthington was released on bail later that night and will be due back in court at a later date.
Alec Baldwin Is Retiring From Everything
In an essay posted to Vulture.com on Sunday night, entitled “Good-bye Public Life,” Baldwin makes a poignant statement about the pressures of being in the public eye, addressing last year’s accusations of homophobia, his conflicts with the paparazzi and his volatile relationship with Shia LaBeouf who, according to Baldwin, “seems to carry with him, to put it mildly, a jailhouse mentality where he goes.” The piece is long-winded but emotional; an interesting first hand account about the pressures of fame.
Seth Meyers Kicks Off ‘Late Night’ Hosting Gig
The former ‘SNL’ star will begin his new role of “Late Night” host tonight. Following in Jimmy Fallon’s footsteps might seem daunting but with Amy Poehler by his side as his first guest, we think he’ll do just great. Vice President Joe Biden and duo A Great Big World join Poehler as first-night guests before Kanye West and Lena Dunham drop by later this week. “Late Night with Seth Meyers” premieres tonight on NBC at 12:35 AM.
