O-Town Reunite, Make Our Liquid Dreams Come True

O-Town fans: Your most liquid of dreams are coming true. That’s right, the early ’00s boy band is reuniting, and they’ve got some new tunes in tow.

The band, which formed during Making The Band in 2000, relaunched their website Monday (March 31), writing: “This one’s for the fans and everyone who supported us from the beginning.”

“We started this reunion purely for the fun of it,” Jacob Underwood told Billboard. “We had discussed a summer tour to perform our old songs and finally give the fans what they’ve been asking us for the last 10 years. However, once we began working, what developed was something a little more ambitious. The ideas kept flying and we couldn’t help but start making new music.”

According to a video posted to their site, the guys will be doing it alone this time — sans TV show, manager, label, etc.

O-Town had their heyday in the early aughts, selling 1.7 million copies of their self-titled album and scoring hits with singles “Liquid Dreams” and “All Or Nothing.”

After releasing their sophomore record, O2, in 2002, the band broke up in 2004.

The new iteration of O-Town will include Erik-Michael Estrada, Dan Miller, Trevor Penick and Jacob Underwood. Ashley Parker Angel will not be making a return visit to O-Town, however.

This isn’t the first time the band has buzzed about a reunion — or that Angel has declined to participate. Underwood tweeted, “Did someone say O-town reunion?!?” in 2011, with Angel’s rep subsequently telling TMZ: “O-Town was one of the greatest chapters of my life, so when the idea of a reunion was brought to me, of course I was intrigued. …However I have made the decision not to be a part of an O-Town reunion. It was a difficult decision, but ultimately necessary to move on with the next chapter of my career.”

Looks like they wanted it all or nothing at all back then. Seems like times have changed.
