Pharrell’s Grammy Hat Is Up For Auction…. And It’s Already $10,500

Pharrell‘s 30-gallon hat arguably won the Grammys, shut down the Internet and brought this into the world. And now, that hat can be yours.

That’s right: The Grammy-winning producer is putting his Vivienne Westwood “mountain hat” up for auction, with all proceeds benefitting his From One Hand to Another non-profit, a foundation that aims to “change the world one kid at a time by giving them the tools and resources to meet their unique potential.”

So if you play your cards right — and if you have a few thousands to burn — that chapeau could be all yours in just a few days. Well, technically, you’ll get anywhere between March 17 and March 21, according to eBay, which is hosting in the auction.

At press time, the highest bid was at $10,500 — and that’s after just over an hour of bidding. There’s still nearly 10 days left — bidding ends on March 2 at 5 p.m. PT — so chances are, this number is going to multiply.

And while anyone is welcome to enter the race, Pharrell had a special invitation on Twitter. “Hey @Arbys, you want my hat? Now’s your chance,” he wrote, weeks after the fast-food chain tweeted “Can we have our hat back?” at the Grammys on January 26.

And if you’re part of the 90 percent of the population who doesn’t have 10K to spend on a hat, Pharrell has a separate hat collection, with headgear ranging from $75 to $300.
