Prince is not one to miss the incomparable spotlight offered by the Super Bowl . So, before Sunday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and the outmanned Denver Broncos turned into a blow-out, the one-time halftime performer appeared in ads for his guest spot on the Fox sitcom “New Girl.”
Oh, and he dropped a snippet of the upcoming single from his new all-female backing band, 3rd Eye Girl, “Pretzelbodylogic.” In a trippy 30-second teaser, the Purple One can be heard singing, “Pretzel body logic, yet so much fun/dreaming of each other on each other’s tongue. The a cappella couplet unfolds over flashing images of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer with his current lean backing band. “Taste the bittersweet undone/Now we both too sleepy to get the gun,” it continues.
The song is expected to appear on Prince’s upcoming album, PLECTRUMELECTRUM, whose release date has not yet been announced.
