If you didn’t have the patience to sit through all three and a half hours of the Grammy Awards telecast on Sunday night (or, maybe you enjoyed it so much that you still want to recap), MTV News did you a solid by condensing the highlights into one minute.
Of course, all great things these days either begin or end with Beyoncé, and who are we to mess with the natural order of things? The show opened with Bey werkin’ it out on a chair, then Macklemore & Ryan Lewis continued their sweep by scooping up the award for Best New Artist.
Katy Perry summoned Juicy J and her entire coven for a performance of “Dark Horse,” while Lorde went all vampy with black fingernails to perform Song of the Year, “Royals. Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons all but shut down the show with their mash-up of “m.A.A.d city” and “Radioactive.”
Blue Ivy didn’t make it to the Grammys, but Jay Z took home a new for her, and Steven Tyler and Yoko Ono really jammed out to Daft Punk’s performance of “Get Lucky” before The Robots took home trophies for Record of the Year and Album of the Year.
Finally, Madonna showed up just in time to join Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for a performance of “Same Love,” during which Queen Latifah married 33 couples, live!
