Scarlett Johansson is off the market! The actress is engaged to boyfriend Romain Dauriac. A rep confirmed the news after she was spotted wearing some engagement bling at the Venice International Film Festival.
A rep for the actress confirmed the engagement to MTV News, but said they have not chosen a date for the wedding.
A source told People that the two are “very happy,” adding that the engagement took place about a month ago and that the ring Dauriac gave her is vintage Art Deco style. The ring was on full display while she was painting Italy red in a black gown to promote “Under the Skin.”
This marks the second marriage for Johansson, who separated from Ryan Reynolds in December 2010 before finalizing their divorce in 2011. Reynolds has since remarried as well. He and his “Green Lantern” co-star Blake Lively tied the knot back in September 2012.
Dauriac, according to reports, is the former editor of the French art magazine Clark and is currently the manager of a creative agency. He began dating the Hollywood star about a year ago.
Back in January, she opened up to Elle U.K. about whether or not she’d ever marry again after her split from Reynolds. “I never think about marriage,” she said. “Is that weird? The only time I ever think about it is when people ask me, ‘Would I get married again?’ It’s really not important to me. It has no relevance to me right now.”
“I’m not having kids any time soon,” she added. “I’m in a nice relationship, I’m working a lot and, like I said, [marriage is] not important to me…To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn’t mean you have to be married.”
In addition to “Under the Skin,” Johansson has several other projects planned, including “Don Jon” alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt (out later this month), “Lucy,” “Chef” and two blockbusters, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
