Shia LaBeouf Gets It On In New ‘Nymphomaniac’ Trailer

Fun fact: Shia LaBeouf was once famous, and he starred movies. One of those films was the two-part sexual epic by Lars von Trier, “Nymphomaniac.” The film has been playing at festival around the world, including a secret screening at Sundance in January, and now its US release in March is quickly approaching.

The first US theatrical trailer for the tamer domestic cut — the other version includes the actors digitally added to hardcore sex scenes performed by porn stars — offers a glimpse of what stateside audiences can expect. While the version we’ll be able to see on demand on March 6 and in select theaters on March 21 doesn’t include all of the graphic sex of the uncut version, it is still earning the rave reviews.

The preview, which just debuted over at Yahoo!, only covers the first half of the story, but serves as an introduced to the story of the sex-obsessed heroine, Joe, and the film’s unique tone.

“Nymphomaniac” is told largely through flashbacks. In the present, Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg) recounts the story of her sexual history to Seligman (Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd), the man who finds her beaten in a bar and is now nursing her back to health.

From there, the film follows young Joe, played by Stacy Martin, as she explores her sexuality and sleeps with guys that look like formerly famous person Shia LaBeouf.

The second half of “Nymphomaniac” opens in theaters in April. On demand for that portion is expected for late March.

“Nymphomaniac” opens in theaters on March 21. It hits on demand on March 6.
