When A Fan Told Britney Spears Her Music Helped Him Come Out, Here’s How She Responded

David LeCours is a die-hard Britney Spears fan, and he found the strength to come out of the closet get through an extremely tough period in his life through the music of the 32-year-old pop star. But he never expected that sharing this with her would lead to his own letter of response from Britney herself.

LeCours wrote Spears a letter, which he explained on his Instagram:
The letter explained how she helped me get through a real tough period in my life these past couple of months, and I wanted to end it all but she made me strong.

Last Tuesday (August 21) at Britney’s “Piece of Me” residency shows at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, LeCours was able to meet his idol, and it wasn’t by accident.

LeCours said as he was leaving the building where the meet and greet was held, Britney’s body guard ran and stopped him and said Britney requested his address so she could respond because his letter meant so much to her. He added, “Thank you for everything Britney. I wouldn’t be able to be so confident and open about my sexuality if your music and you didn’t help me.”

Spears followed through, and this is the letter she wrote to LeCours, which he shared on his Instagram.

It’s very refreshing to hear Spears name being mentioned for such positive things as of late, including surprising a terminally ill patient whose dream was to see her perform live, so she flew his family out with first-class plane tickets and VIP passes to her Las Vegas concert.

Keep up the good work Britney; these moves are A+ and a nice reminder of the Britney we know and love.
