Who Is The Season 4 MVP Of Scott’s ‘Teen Wolf’ Pack?

Scott McCall might have delivered the blow that knocked Peter Hale unconscious and killed the “Teen Wolf” villain’s master plan, but without the help of his loyal pack, it’s safe to say his fist could have never connected.

This season on “Teen Wolf,” Beacon Hills’ True Alpha and his team — which includes a human, a banshee, a kitsune, a werecoyote and a fellow werewolf — successfully terminated a dead pool that threatened to eradicate the town’s entire supernatural population and, later, banished Kate Argent to the far reaches of the Earth and Peter Hale to a windowless room in the shadowy Eichen House. Not bad for a handful of teenagers who still get queasy at the mention of PSATs!

The way we see it, there’s not an ounce of dead weight between Stiles, Lydia, Malia, Kira and Liam, but after battling Berserkers, uncovering virtual cypher keys and translating the language of the dead, who among them is the Season 4 MVP?

As far as brute strength is concerned, nobody’s tougher than Malia, who never batted a lash before jumping into duels with monsters twice her size. Even when bruised and battered, she refused to concede while in combat, but her eagerness to throw down occasionally got her into trouble. Kira, on the other hand, may not have Malia’s muscle but always kept her wits about her on the front lines — and her swordplay is nothing to sneeze at. Plus, her lightning power has proven to be tremendously useful on more than one occasion.

Away from the battleground, Lydia has served as the gang’s reliable key to seemingly unsolvable mysteries. Without her keen banshee senses, the gang would have never found the supernatural hit list or the means to stop The Benefactor’s cash flow. And when Lydia took a bat to a Berserker on the Season 4 finale, she proved she’s got some bite, too. The Holmes to Lydia’s Sherlock, Stiles, who happens to be the group’s only human, refused to sleep (…seriously) until he was certain he’d made some progress on the case of the dead pool. More importantly, though Stiles is typically spastic, it’s his calm that’s kept his friends centered during moments of distress. The full moon likely would have killed one of his friends if he hadn’t been around to see them through the resultant pain.

Finally, it wasn’t always clear if Liam — who was an irritatingly pugnacious human, but became meek after Scott’s bite — would be able to hang with the rest. But when Scott needed him most, Liam pulled through and helped Scott achieve enough calm to break Kate’s spell and dispel the Berserker inside.

So, after puzzles, prisons and plenty of bloodshed, tell us — who was Scott’s rightful second-in-command? Take our poll, and explain your choice in the comments!
