Lil Wayne And N.O.R.E.’s First Meeting Was Over A Seriously Meaty Pizza

N.O.R.E. may fancy himself a Superthug, but the Queens, New York, MC is actually a likable guy, and for his latest album Student of the Game, Jose Luis called in favors from all his musical friends.

His relationship with SOTG collaborator Lil Wayne, for instance, goes back a ways. Back in August 1999, before Weezy was known to guest on many tracks outside his Cash Money camp, Noreaga invited Wayne to appear on a song that appeared on N.O.R.E's sophomore LP. Melvin Flynt--Da Hustler. Originally, N.O.R.E. was looking to only work with former Cash Money star Juvenile, who at the time was riding high off of his breakout single "Ha," but Birdman suggested something different.

"When he flew into New York, he was like, 'Say, playboy ... you want the whole crew?' " N.O.R.E. recalled to MTV News using his best Birdman impersonation. "Nobody knew who Lil Wayne was, and not only that I put him first," N.O.R.E. continued, pointing out that Weezy's verse opens "Play That Sh--." "He just took that as respect."

According to Noreaga, Birdman decided not to charge the C-N-N rapper for the 1999 feature. He also curiously remembers the crew's eating habits. "They were rich back then, too, and they also ordered the most pork on pizza I've ever seen in my life," he said, laughing. "These guys ordered ham, bacon, meatballs. They ordered sh-- I didn't even know you could put on pizza."

N.O.R.E., who is using the alias P.A.P.I. on Student of the Game, has maintained a tight relationship with the Cash ...

Psy’s ‘Gentleman’ Nears 125 Million Views, But Can It Match ‘Gangnam Style’?

Can lightning strike twice? We may soon find out thanks to Psy's new song, "Gentleman."

While the South Korean rapper's original world-beating hit,
had a slow, then meteoric rise to YouTube dominance
last year on its way to an unprecedented 1.5 billion views, in its first five days
is actually outpacing "Style" by a mile. (It took "Gangnam" more than a month to reach 100 million views.)

At press time, "Gentleman" was about to blow by the 125 million mark in YouTube views after tallying more than 20 million in its first 24 hours, easily beating the previous record set by Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend," which attracted eight million views on its first day.

"51 million views in 40 hours!! My God!!" Psy tweeted on Monday as the video began to take off. The song has also made its way into the top 10 in England and Australia, though it sat just outside the top 10 at #11 on the iTunes chart at press time.

But can it move the 4.5 million downloads and #2 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart put up by "Gangnam?"

"He set the bar pretty high to match the success of 'Gangnam Style,'" said Billboard Director of Charts Silvio Pietroluongo. "That song had so many elements going for it: it was catchy, it had a spectacular video, the novelty of being in Korean ... it was like lightning in a bottle ... To get close tot hat would be considered a success. Even a fraction of those numbers would be a success."

While "Gentleman" is ...

Drake’s ‘Girls Love Beyonce’: But What Else Did We Learn?

Drake's love life is complicated to say the least. Even before the Young Money whiz kid broke out of his native Toronto, he seemed to be having trouble with the chicas, as evidenced on So Far Gone songs like "Houstatlantavegas" and "Sooner Than Later."

On Tuesday, Drizzy continued to document his trust issues with the cleverly titled The James Fauntleroy-assisted tune isn't just an ode to Mrs. Carter, though. Drake actually pours out his lonely heart on the track. So what did we learn from it? MTV News breaks it down.

Girls Love Beyoncé, duh.
After establishing that girls love Queen Bey in the song's very first line, Drake goes on to list other things that the fairer sex enjoys. Apparently, women take great joy in toying with men's emotions and keeping dudes in the house. "Girls love to f--- with your conscience/ Girls hate when n---as go missing," he rhymes, err, sings.

Drizzy's 'Young Boys' Are A Bad Influence On Him.
It's hard to get in touch with your innermost feelings when all of your boys are around, and Drake's OVO clique definitely doesn't make things easy for the lovelorn rapper. The first step in dealing with your problem is admitting that you have a problem. "All my young boys 'round me, saying, 'Get money and f--- these hoes'/ Where we learn these values? I do not know what to tell you," he croons.

Drake Is Sick Of Ducking Paparazzi While Out On Dates.
Though the Young Money hitmaker has been linked to a number of women — from dancer Maliah Michel to ...

Britney Spears fans, start screaming and shouting, because new music is coming your way. The "Scream & Shout" singer will appear grace the "Smurfs 2" soundtrack on the brand-new tune "Ooh La La."

On Wednesday, the singer opened up a bit more about the track, sharing that she recorded it for her sons, Jayden and Sean. "I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurfs fans ever. I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they'll think it's Smurftastic!" she added in a statement.

The song was produced by Dr. Luke, along with Ammo and Cirkut. Luke enlisted the help of hitmaker Bonnie McKee as well as J Kash, Lola Blanc and Fransisca Hall to help pen the latest tune from the singer. It will appear during the end credits of the summer movie and while the film opens on July 31, no release date for the song has been confirmed yet.

"I am very excited that Britney is joining our smurfy adventure," "Smurfs 2" director Raja Gosnell said. " 'Ooh La La' is the perfect Smurf-party song, and the perfect button on the film for audiences around the world."

In addition to gifting fans with "Ooh La La," the former "X Factor" judge has also been hard at work on her follow-up to 2011's Femme Fatale. ‘Man Of Steel’ Trailer: Is Superman Finally Getting It Right?

There's something strange about the two trailers for "Man of Steel," especially the one that premiered online Tuesday and, by several accounts, moved grown men to tears. Aside from the fact that both previews from Zack Snyder's reboot are visually stunning and don't spoil the entire movie, the trailers have been largely left untouched by the internet snark machine. In the age of instant and innumerable Twitter reactions, how is that possible? To understand why these trailers have been as indestructible as Superman, we've broken it down for you.

A Change in Tone
When Warner Bros. got Christopher Nolan to act as executive producer in hopes to extend the success of "The Dark Knight Trilogy," many assumed that his treatment of the last son of Krypton would be identical to the "Batman Begins" reboot plan: ground it in reality, make it gritty. Well, Nolan, Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer made it grittier — but not in the way everyone was expecting. Superman isn't Batman, and he never should be treated the same way thematically.

Understanding the Character
Look around any commenter thread or blog post and you'll find a handful of moments from the trailer that really landed with fans — Russell Crowe's "How?" response, "in the sun" speech. Kevin Costner's Pa Kent is making everyone ask why he isn't in more movies. The conversation about the "S" near the end is both clever and thematically important. But what is it about these scenes that everyone is picking up on and citing when calling this "the Superman movie they've always wanted"? There's ...

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Premiere Epic ‘Can’t Hold Us’ Video

Well, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis told us their "Can't Hold Us" video was going to be big.

On Wednesday, after something like 16 different shoots, six continents and one pizza party, the dynamic duo officially premiered the "Can't Hold Us" clip, and, boy, does it live up to the hype. It's a globe-spanning, wide-screen affair, the kind of vid that looks like it cost a million dollars to make ... because it probably did. We follow the action across frozen tundra, deep-blue oceans, tropical jungles and modern cityscapes, ride along on boats, planes, camelback and dogsleds, watch with wide eyes as scores of dancers move in syncopated rhythm and a skydiver plummets through the air. And, of course, the whole thing ends high atop the Space Needle in Seattle, where Macklemore triumphantly raises a Heist flag over his hometown.

Sure, it's overblown, but that's the point. After all, Macklemore & Lewis have earned the right to make a video like this, and not just because they've ruled the charts with their breakout hit You get the feeling this is the kind of video Macklemore has dreamed of making for a decade now ... back when he was still going by Professor and releasing EPs on his own. Now, teamed with Lewis, he finally has the means to do so, and he's definitely taking full advantage.

Some may say the toughest thing to do is follow-up a hit, but I'd be willing to bet Mack & Lewis don't agree with that sentiment; after all, they've taken the long road ...

Paramore Grab First #1 Debut On Billboard Chart

Paramore have plenty to celebrate this week. The trio's self-titled
album will land them their first #1 debut while knocking Justin Timberlake out of the top spot thanks to sales of 106,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

At last week's 2013 MTV Movie Awards singer Hayley Williams was excited
about the prospect of a #1 debut, but didn't want to get ahead of herself. "We're a little afraid of jinxing it," Williams said about the chance of hitting the top spot. "But at the end of the day, no matter what happens, we kind of feel like this week's already been insane for us. The album came true. It's been like a dream, but I don't know — we're ready to get back out there!"

The disc just aced out the #2 debut of the week, country star Brad Paisley's Wheelhouse (100,000), which features the controversial LL Cool J duet
Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience
ended its three-week run at #1, as sales fell 30 percent to 98,000, for a total of 1.5 million to date. The other notable debut in the top 10 came from Tyga, whose Hotel California came in at #7 on sales of 54,000. It was a very short visit to the heights for Odd Future boss Tyler, the Creator, whose third solo album, Wolf, plummeted 19 spots to #22 as sales were off 79 percent to 18,000 in week two.

The top 10 could get another shuffle next week, thanks to the comeback album from Fall ...

Fall Out Boy Launch ‘Version 2.0’ With Save Rock And Roll

Fall Out Boy took a fairly, uh, non-traditional route to their brand-new Save Rock And Roll album, in that they spent nearly four years on hiatus before releasing it on Tuesday.

But ever since they announced their triumphant return in February, they seem determined to make up for lost time, launching a comeback tour, dropping a pair of eye-catching music videos, and even taking a moment to reflect on just how far they've come in the years since they nearly split.

In fact, there's been so much happening in FOB land that it's getting difficult for Pete Wentz to keep track of everything; in fact, it's reminding him a whole lot of Westeros these days.

"What a strange ride this one has been. Kind of like 'Game of Thrones' — stick with me — in the way that way too much has happened to really keep track of and your favorite characters keep getting killed off," he wrote in an email to MTV News. "Thinking of us in the van years ago tearing out of Wilmette, Illinois is insane. I can't believe the world ever gave us a chance in the first place."

And yet, not only did the world give them one chance, but, as the early reaction to Save Rock And Roll has shown, FOB have already earned a second. And as Wentz put it, they're determined to make the most of it.

"Fall Out Boy version 2.0 may not be wiser or stronger," he wrote, "but we're certainly more fearless."

Are you excited for the return of ...

President Obama Has ‘Better Things To Do’ Than OK Jay-Z’s Cuba Trip

Sometimes rap lyrics are just that. Everyone's ears perked when Jay-Z claimed to get "White House clearance" for his and Beyoncé's Cuba trip on last week's and now the president himself is beating down the notion that Hov has some political privilege.

"This is not something the White House was involved with. We've got better things to do," President Barack Obama said during his sit-down with host Savannah Guthrie.

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Questions began to swirl after Hov and Bey trooped down to Cuba at the beginning of April and spent their five-year wedding anniversary on the communist island, where travel is limited for U.S. citizen due to long-held sanctions. After a few politicians called for an investigation surrounding the trip, Hov dropped "Open Letter" on April 11 and thumbed his nose at his political opposition. "Boy from the hood got White House clearance," he rapped.

Jigga, of course, foresaw the questions that his "Open Letter" would raise and he went on to take even more poetic license. "Obama said, 'Chill, you gonna get me impeached'/ You don't need this sh--anyway; chill with me on the beach," he raps in jest.

Obama administration spokesperson Jay Carney shot down the notion the same day and told reporters that the White House had nothing to do with granting the power couple clearance, noting that the Department of Treasury is tasked with handling such issues.

When asked, Obama laughed. "I wasn't familiar that they were taking the trip," he said. ...

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Break Out Camels, Dogsleds For ‘Can’t Hold Us’ Video

By their own admission, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis never dreamed they'd have a hit the size of which (as you're probably aware) has logged six weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 to date, and has sold more than four million copies.

So, when it came time to shoot the video for their follow-up single, — which, it should be noted, is already a Top 10 staple on the Hot 100 — well, they definitely decided to take advantage of their newfound clout.

"We shot it on six different continents," Macklemore told MTV News backstage at the MTV Movie Awards. "It's crazy. There's a camel. There's dogsledding. There are white people, black people, a frat party. We just went for it."

"This was over a 16-day music video shoot, which I've never heard of before," Lewis added. "It was a huge project; it was cut all over the place. We started cutting at South By Southwest, in a little hotel room, and we've been finishing it ever since, or trying to finish it. It's just been a massive project."

And after all that, the dynamic duo finally did finish the clip, and it will premiere Wednesday (April 17). And though their profile — and video budgets — may have grown, Macklemore & Lewis are remaining true to their roots, and decided to give their fans a sneak peak at the "Can't Hold Us" video at a Tuesday-night Pizza Party in Seattle.

"We decided to do something different a couple years ago, which was have pizza parties for the ...
