5 Seconds of Summer want to put an end to bullying — especially because, this time, it’s closer to them than you think.
Early this morning, 5SOS member Ashton Irwin tweeted, “Can’t believe people pick on my sister at school, one day they will realise individuality is a beautiful thing, I love you Lauren, be tough.”
And instead of the tweet disappearing into the Twitterverse, fans took hold of it and spun it into a worldwide trend. Soon after, #5SOSFamLovesLauren trended worldwide.
And the tweets kept rolling in, with #laurenisbeautiful, #weloveyoulauren and #StayStrongLauren becoming trends.
The tons of responses didn’t go unnoticed, as Ashton followed up with a sweet “thank you.”
