Kendrick Lamar’s new single, “i,” is so upbeat and so feel good that of course people would dance around, blasting the track, as its chorus of “I love myself!” repeats.

Listen — maybe I’ve done it already. You probably have, too. And we know who else has: Ellen DeGeneres.

On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday (October 2), the host rocked out to K. Dot’s latest single, which dropped last week. Dancing up and down the aisles with her middle-aged studio audience jamming along, Ellen sure seemed to love Compton rapper’s latest.

Maybe this was her way of paying the good kid, m.A.A.d city rapper back for nominating her for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge last month.

Ellen’s really had her dancing shoes on recently. Earlier this month, she released her own version of Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” video.

As for K. Dot, he’s hard at work on his upcoming sophomore album.

“What Kendrick is doing, and what he’s about to do — he’s an artist, he has a vision in mind,” Rahki, who produced “i,” told MTV News this week. “There’s nothing like that record on radio right now.”

“He’s a genius,” he added. “What he’s doing is really gonna change up a lot. The album is incredible.”

A lot can happen in five months, as “The Vampire Diaries” just proved with a season six premiere episode that found all of our favorite (mostly former) Mystic Falls residents more lost and confused than they’ve ever been. With the town rendered inhabitable for supernatural residents and Bonnie and Damon dead and gone, Elena, Caroline, Stefan, and more were all struggling to pick up the pieces in “I’ll Remember” — while the lucky dead folk ate pancakes.

Elena seemed remarkably calm and happy at the beginning of the night, considering the latest tragedy that had recently befallen her. However, this state of stasis was quickly revealed to be drug-related — blondie twin Luke made her an herbal witch cocktail that allowed her to somehow “talk” to Damon, at least in her own mind. (Luke second-guessed his decision, to be fair, but Elena was a junkie by the time her first pre-med class kicked off.)

Unfortunately, these drugs had one major, way worse than dry-mouth side effect: they made Elena ravenously hungry for humans, earning her the “Border-Lurker” nickname outside Mystic Falls. She nearly killed a woman before Caroline stepped in, and even Stefan told her to let it go Queen Elsa-style when she called him for a fix of Damon-talk.

Elena said goodbye to fake-Damon with an imaginary kiss, but she still couldn’t give him up. Clearly desperate, she turned to my boyfriend (and her professor) Alaric’s help, since — as he was turned by an Original ...

The William Morris Endeavor talent agency is officially in the A$AP Rocky business.

Billboard reports that WME announced Thursday (October 2) that it will handle Pretty Flacko’s worldwide representation.

The “F—kin’ Problems” MC, whose debut album, Long.Love.A$AP, landed at #1 on the Billboard 200 last January, will still be repped by Davis Shapiro’s Damien Granderson and AWGE’s Chace Johnson.

Rocky is a major lyrical voice in A$AP Mob, which, unfortunately, abandoned their plans to release a collaboration LP.

The silver lining, though, is the Harlemite’s sophomore album may be arriving real soon and a new song will be dropping tonight, according to A$AP Yams.

Following the rash of the recent domestic violence scandals that have involved the NFL, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had a few things to say about bullying and domestic violence.

In a moving, here” target=”_blank”>lengthy essay for The Players’ Tribune — a site dedicated to letting athletes sounds off on important issues — Wilson broached the difficult subject. But first, he got candid about his own shortcoming and failures: Wilson used to be a bully himself.

Instead of trying to hide his past, Wilson kicks off the piece with this candid revelation:

I used to beat people up. Truthfully, I used to beat people up a lot. Many of you readers probably think I have been Mr. Goody Two-Shoes my whole life, but honestly, I was a bully growing up. In elementary and middle school, I threw kids against the wall. I rubbed their heads in the dirt at recess. I bit them. I even knocked teeth out.

Your name is your name, even if it’s not your real name. That’s the message Facebook’s chief product officer, Chris Cox, sent in a statement on Wednesday (October 1) explaining the company’s reversal of its controversial “real name” policy.

“I want to apologize to the affected community of drag queens, drag kings, transgender, and extensive community of our friends, neighbors, and members of the LGBT community for the hardship that we’ve put you through in dealing with your Facebook accounts over the past few weeks,” Cox said. The mea culpa came a few weeks after Sister Roma, a well-known member of San Francisco’s beloved Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence drag group questioned the policy after being locked out of her account.

What Was That Whole Thing Even About?
Once Roma raised the alarm, other drag performers and people who use alternate names on FB said they’d had similar issues, banding together under the #mynameis hashtag to protest the policy. They said it not only discriminated against the LGBT community, but also potentially put stalking and domestic violence victims at risk by forcing them to use their legal names.

“In the two weeks since the real-name policy issues surfaced, we’ve had the chance to hear from many of you in these communities and understand the policy more clearly as you experience it,” Cox said. “We’ve also come to understand how painful this has been. There’s a baby style war brewing!

Just kidding. Ciara’s baby, Future Zahir Wilburn, was just looking super adorable — not unlike Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, who is already sitting front row at Paris Fashion Week runway shows.
