Two-time cancer survivor and MTV reality star, Diem Brown, has been hospitalized again in the wake of her third cancer diagnosis.

Brown was hospitalized on Thursday (September 25) in New York City following the discovery of a tumor causing blockage in her kidneys.

“They told me there I had complete blockage of my left kidney and 75 percent blockage of my right because of swelling and tumors,” she explained to People, “so they had to do a surgery and put in stents so things could flow normally again.”

“I didn’t realize that all the back pain was because of my kidneys,” she said.

Brown had recently been working on putting on weight following her last surgery in mid-August in order to begin chemotherapy.

“I was supposed to get my ‘chemo cocktail,’” on Tuesday of last week, she explained, “but after they did the blood draw they saw a spike in my kidney levels, so they were only able to give me one of the two chemos.” Those tests ultimately led to an ultrasound the next day, which led to the discovery of the tumor.

Thankfully, Brown has a strong support system in her best friends who are constantly by her side.

“Clearly we were delirious last night in the ER,” Instagramed E! correspondent and Brown’s dear friend, Alicia Quarles. “@diembrown & @JulieRotondi are the best at making lemonade out of lemons. I’m pretty sure the doctors could not wait for Jules & I to leave & stop terrorizing them.”

Ain’t no one going to rain on Jordin Sparks’ parade. The actress/singer — who recently broke up with her fiancé, Jason Derulo, has been steppin’ out on the town in spite of the three-year-long relationship’s demise.

After all, she’s got a new movie to promote so it’s back to work! “Left Behind,” which premiered at the Catalina Film Festival on Friday (September 26). Sparks brought her buddy Lance Bass, prom-style, to the fête, and captured the whole thing on Instagram.

Sparks has previously used social media to let the world know there are no tears on her end, simply the memory of the good thing she and Derulo had, indicating the split was in the very least amicable. Quoting the old adage, Sparks reminded herself, and the world not to “cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

It’s the sort of positive attitude one must take in the wake of a break-up sometimes. And thankfully, Sparks is allowing herself to have a little fun and not dwell on the past.

Girl’s not wasting any time or resting on her laurels in any regard, even posting a photo of herself in the studio. As she said previously on Twitter, “write, sing, repeat.” Get those emotions out via song, girl!

Leave it to “A-Team” and “Smokin’ Aces” director Joe Carnahan to take a simple premise and turn it into a wild, adrenaline-infused whirlwind.

We’re talking, specifically, about the trailer for his upcoming film “Stretch,” starring Patrick Wilson as a limo driver wrenched from his mundane life by the desperate need to pay off $6,000 in gambling debts in one day.

The movie is giving us a total “After Hours” vibe – Wilson’s search for cash starts with a seemingly benign suggestion from a pal (played by Jessica Alba): drive a “completely nuts” billionaire named Roger Caros (Chris Pine), who tips in the thousands.

His quest devolves into a nightmare of drugs, guns, murder, stolen vehicles and similar mayhem. Look, if the dude you’re driving doesn’t know who Charlie Sheen is…you can bet he’s pretty nuts by comparison.

“Stretch” hits Amazon and iTunes on October 7 and VOD on October 14.

Led Zeppelin‘s founding member and frontman Robert Plant has a brand new band—the Sensational Space Shifters—and they kicked off their tour in New York to kick off their tour, so Plant found the time to visit Jimmy Fallon while he was in town.

On Friday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” (September 26), Fallon suggested the two use a looping app on an iPad to record some sweet tunes together, and the results were surprisingly beautiful.

Is it just me or does Jimmy look a little nervous to sing alongside the rock icon? Luckily, Questlove gives them a starting note to get the right key.

Then we find out why Jimmy looked so focused—he’s actually good! He holds his own alongside Robert with barely a flubbed note and the resulting four part rendition of “Duke Of Earl” that the two create is a gorgeous, emotional rendition of the doo-wop classic. But I’m gonna go ahead and give The Roots a little credit for that fact too.

The best part though is when Plant feigns confusion at the looping software when the vocals continue after he stops singing. As soon as he hits that melody line though, it’s breathtaking. There are few singers who are as legendary as Robert Plant, even when he’s just having fun on a talk show.

Lorde is continuing her Instagram quest of teasing her new song by posting glimpses of the lyrics. The upcoming single will appear on the soundtrack for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1″ and she’s shared three bits of it so far.

Three weeks ago Lorde posted an Instagram of the lyrics from the song—”I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm”—written on a piece of paper.

Now she’s followed up with two more simple, beautiful lyric images. She wrote the second line, “And the scars that mark my body, they’re silver and gold,” on her hand.

And she scrawled the third and latest installment on the sidewalk: “My blood is a flood of rubies, precious stones.”

Lorde is something of a poetic magpie: she’s attracted to shiny things. Her discography is filled with gemstones, like on her smash hit “Team”—”A hundred jewels on throats, a hundred jewels between teeth” or “cutting teeth on diamond rings…diamonds on your timepiece,” from “Royals.” So the gemstone references fall right in line with her past work.

These lyrics seem appropriately based on the life and times of Katniss Everdeen, a pure heroine if there ever was one (sorry had to!) and these new lyrics evoke her resilience under pressure.

Not only is Lorde releasing a new single for the movie, she’s curating the entire soundtrack. These lyrics might be the final teaser because the brand new song is coming tomorrow!

Ariana Grande is sticking to her theme y’all. After sporting a pair of black cat ears onstage and on the red carpet at the iHeart Radio Music Awards, Ari decided to bring ‘em along to studio 8H, where she was the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” with host Chris Pratt.

We’re guessing Ariana is:
a) Really committed to accessories
b) Planning on wearing her pre-Halloween costume all through October
c) Getting seriously superstitious with some black cat magic.

If the cat ears are at all a good luck charm, she certainly didn’t need it for her “SNL” debut.

In her opening number the pop star perched on a black piano, cat ears on top of her signature high ponytail. She began singing “Break Free” as a ballad, then skipped over to the larger stage to return the song to its high-intensity electric feel, neon disco lights flashing for her and the dancers to have an intergalactic dance session.

For her second performance, Ariana slowed things down with “Love Me Harder.” She was joined by The Weeknd, who made an appearance to duet on their song, facing each other while singing “‘Cause if you want to keep me/you gotta gotta gotta gotta got to love me harder.”

And lest you forget that Ariana actually got her start in acting, she made a cameo as an action figure come to life in the “He-Man and Lion-O” sketch. We’re digging her outfit.

It’s been a month and a half since the world lost Robin Williams, and – though we’re all still collectively grieving – Williams’ friends and family had yet to gather in remembrance of the beloved actor and comedian – until yesterday.

Hundreds of guests amassed to pay their respects at a private memorial – held at the Curran Theater in San Fransicso – on Saturday (September 27) afternoon. Attendees included Williams’ wife and three children, as well as a massive roster of celebrities – Bette Midler, Lance Armstrong, George Lucas, Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, Eddie Izzard, Josh Groban and Ben Stiller, just to name a few.

Stevie Wonder provided musical accompaniment to the celebration of Williams’ life, Billy Crystal gave a speech (based on his Emmy tribute, we imagine it was a tear-jerker), and so did Whoopi Goldberg (again, all the Kleenex), Bobcat Goldthwait and Bonnie Hunt.

“Whoopi told an amazing anecdote about when Billy, Robin and she went to Washington D.C. to meet Ted Kennedy. It was something about Robin saying, ‘Okay, if Ted says he’ll drive, let’s regroup,’” a source told the New York Daily News, adding, “Whoopi could barely get through it she was laughing so hard.”
