Exclusive ‘Fault In Our Stars’ Deleted Scene Breaks Our Hearts All Over Again

by 19 mins ago

The Fault in Our Stars” is finally out on Blu-ray, and on top of enjoying the story of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters all over again, you’ll be able to check out the bevy of special features that are included on the disc.

For instance — just as an example — there’s the exclusive deleted scene we’ve embedded above.

The Blu-ray includes a bunch of deleted scenes that didn’t make the cut of the theatrical version of the movie, but that can be found in the extended edition. Here, Hazel attempts to get through airport security without her oxygen, a task that proves harder than she imagined.

“The Fault in Our Stars” is out on Blu-ray and DVD now.

Writer/editor for MTV. If it involves cowboys, spies, or hitmen, I'm there. All three would be ideal.

Cara Delevingne Takes Lead Role In John Green’s ‘Paper Towns’

by 41 mins ago

Brit Cara Delevingne has joined “Paper Towns,” the film adapted from John Green’s YA novel of the same name. If the film enjoys anything like the same success of Green’s other adapted film, “The Fault In Our Stars,” the model-turned-actress is in for quite a bit of attention.

The Wrap reports that Delevingne will play Margo Roth Spiegelman, the mysterious teen at the center of the novel. Nat Wolff, who played supporting character Isaac in “Fault,” will play Quentin, the male lead, we learned in March.

Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who co-wrote both “Fault” and the acclaimed “The Spectacular Now,” return to pen “Paper Towns.”

The plot of the book revolves around Delevingne’s character, a mysterious and complex girl who has known Wolff’s character since they were children, though they’ve grown apart. After a spontaneous nighttime adventure during which the two get revenge on people Margo feels have wronged her, Margo disappears. However there are clues that only Quentin — usually referred to as Q — seems to be able to decipher, based on Margo’s secret literary and musical interests.

Green’s third Young Adult novel, “Paper Towns” won the 2009 Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Mystery, and debuted at #5 on the New York Times Bestseller list. Jake Schreier, who directed 2012′s “Robot and Frank,” will direct the movie.

Green tweeted his excitement for the casting, saying Delevingne “understands Margo profoundly.”

“Paper Towns” is slated for a July 31, 2015 release.

Spider-Man And Batman Team Up To Battle A Heckler In Times Square

by 1 min ago

Two beloved superheros, one unlikely foe.

Batman may be fighting Superman in 2016, but in the meantime he’s joining forces with Spider-Man — at least, their Times Square cosplayers squared off against some dude in Times Square whom they accuse of sexual harassment.

Last Saturday, 23-year-old Thomas Rorke managed to get himself in a fistfight with Batman (a.k.a. José Escalona-Martinez) and Spider-Man (a.k.a. Abdel Elkahezai), the New York Post reports. The dynamic duo allege that Rorke started the scuffle by drunkenly straddling Escalona-Martinez while threatening, “I’m gonna f–k you, Batman.”

Soon, Spidey and the Dark Knight found themselves in the fight of their lives. Rorke allegedly grabbed Elkahezai, who then shot webbing at him (it was really just the Silly String he uses as part of his act). The situation quickly escalated into an all-out brawl, and — before the Batmobile could get to the scene — law enforcement got involved and arrested all three men for assault.

Batman and Spiderman have always been proponents of justice, and in this case, justice will be served for all involved, no matter how drunk or costumed they are. For all we know, the Joker and the Green Goblin may have orchestrated the whole thing.

Actually, Marvel and DC, we think we just gave you an idea for a movie…

Watch This Tiny Hamster Challenge Kobayashi In A Hot Dog-Eating Challenge

by 3 mins ago

Competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi holds six Guinness Records, including the world record for most hot dogs eaten in 10 minutes (a whopping 110 dogs — yep, that’s 11 per minute).

hotdog-eating-gifYouTube

But even Kobayashi is no match for the animal kingdom’s fierce competitor. Weighing in at probably under a pound, and sporting a fluffy coat fit for kings, this tiny hamster is a lean, mean, eating machine in his own right.

So what happens when you pit these two meat lovers against each other? You get a minute of positively intense competition that will make you second-guess hamsters’ lowly place on the food chain… and will probably also make you crave a hot dog for lunch. Check out the video to watch Kobayashi and his hamster rival face off in the grueling contest — you’ll be surprised to see what happens.

‘Finding Carter’ Poll: Is Carter Finished With Lori Once And For All?

by 5 mins ago

Carter is about as unpredictable as they come — one minute, she’s running away with a gun-toting juvenile delinquent and the next she’s embarking on a World Apology Tour in an effort to make things right with her biological family.

As much as we absolutely adore Carter and her new leaf, we can’t help but wonder what will happen when Lori makes her weirdly disguised comeback on tonight’s “Finding Carter” season finale. While most of you think the new-and-improved Carter is here to stay, can she truly remain strong enough to withstand returning to the mother figure she’s loved for years, a woman who feeds her fro-yo and gummy bears for dinner?

Nom, nom, nom.

It’s not as if life with her bio fam has been purring kittens and double rainbows. Mama Wilson has been caught in a series of controlling lies, dad David essentially put his publishing career ahead of his own flesh and blood, and twin sister Taylor gave a verbal beating following the near-tragic Max debacle. Even our beloved Grant has played the hot-and-cold bro on occasion.

Despite the fact that Carter essentially gave Lori the ultimate kiss-off after her lame plan to start life anew (in Russia, of all places), she did get ridiculously excited over the numerical clue Lori left at their old stomping ground, resulting in the mysterious letter delivery that left Max a bloody mess. Will Carter consider ...

You Won’t Find Mouse Ears Or Fairy Dust On MTV’s New Show ‘Happyland’

by 3 mins ago

In theory, trips to amusement parks amount to non-stop laughs, thrills and more funnel cake than you can stomach. In practice, the carnival life ain’t always such a good time…

On new MTV series “Happyland,” which premieres September 30 at 11/10c, the true face of the traditional theme park will be unmasked through the eyes of Lucy Velez, a teenager whose life has been spent around the fabricated magic of one of the country’s most beloved attractions, Happyland.

Happy1

Lucy has big plans to leave the clowns and carnies behind, and start a life that even the lengthiest roller coasters can’t reach. But with the arrival of Ian Chandler, whose family owns the park, she thinks she might finally have found her Prince Charming and considers that sticking around Happyland might not be such a bad idea.

Still, every workplace has its secrets, and just when Lucy’s fairy tale begins to take shape, she’ll learn that “happily ever after” isn’t necessarily a given. Don’t worry, Luce — that kid who puked on his crush after one too many spins on the Tilt-A-Whirl is still probably hurting worse…

Happy2

Check out the “Happyland” trailer, and be sure to tune in to the season premiere later this month!

Hey, Harry Styles: Hilary Duff Wants To Record A Duet With You

by 10 mins ago

I don’t know about you, but lately we’re all about Hilary Duff.

It’s been seven years since our own Lizzie McGuire dropped an album and we’ve all been impatiently waiting for her return. And even though she’s released the songs “Chasing the Sun” and “All About You,” the fans want more. And guess what? We’re about to get it because, according to Hilary, the album is “pretty much done.”

MTV News recently caught up with Hilary in New York, where she teamed up with Trident Gum and Smiles Across America to get millions of kids access to proper dental care. She revealed that she’s putting the finishing touches on her fifth album, which will be released in the new year, but she’s waiting for a certain someone to jump on an unfinished duet track.

“I might go with an unknown or an up-and-comer just to give the song even more of a quirky feel,” Duff said. “But secretly, I really love Harry Styles, but he’s kind of busy with One Direction — I know this — but I am a secret 1D fan.”

Hilary, the secret’s out now, and we want to make this musical match made-in-heaven happen because this song, which Hilary said has an “old school Sheryl Crow vibe to it,” sounds like it would be perfect for Harry.

“It’s about being in New York and meeting someone, like, standing in the rain trying to get a cab, when you’re basically going to fight ...

Rihanna And Jay Z’s ‘Run This Town’ Permanently Benched By CBS Sports

by 20 mins ago

CBS Sports has benched Rihanna and Jay Z‘s “Run This Town” for the rest of the NFL season. After pulling the song last week for the season debut of Thursday Night Football on the network, a CBS Sports spokesperson confirmed for MTV News on Tuesday (September 16) that the song will not be played at all this season.

“Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.”

It was just two weeks ago that CBS announced that Thursday Night Football would be “accompanied by the narration of Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle. Cheadle’s narration sets the scene to kick off the NFL week on Thursday nights, highlighting the division rivalry games. And, asking the question, who will ‘Run This Town’?”

But before the 16-game season on the network even kicked off, the song was pulled from last Thursday’s broadcast of a game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens, whose Ray Rice has been dropped from the team and indefinitely suspended by the league following the revelation of a video of the 212-pound running back punching out his then fiancee in an elevator earlier this year.

The CBS Sports spokesperson did not return requests for comment on what will replace the Jay/Rihanna song and how the opening segment will be tweaked. Rihanna, however, ...

Raury Played His Music For Kanye West And Recorded Multiple Songs With SBTRKT

by 23 mins ago

If you’re not familiar with Raury’s music just yet, then Kanye West and SBTRKT are way ahead of you. The Atlanta rapper/singer/songwriter is pretty fresh on the scene, dropping his debut project Indigo Child at the end of August (led by singles “God’s Whisper” and “Cigarette Song”), but he’s already caught the eyes and ears of some esteemed musicians.

Raury is featured on one of SBTRKT’s latest singles “Higher,” and he recently had a chance to play some music for Kanye, since ‘Ye was so geeked about his video for “God’s Whisper.”

Oh, and he’s only 18 years old. No big deal.

The Indigo Child revealed that he had a chance to chat up both artists before they got to work on any music.

“[SBTRKT and I] sat in the studio for 12 hours on end and we have a number of songs actually,” he told MTV News. “It’s an honor to be on his project and I actually have two songs on there.”

“The people that I collaborate with, I like to feel like we’re friends and I know them to certain degree, so when I was out in New York, SBTRKT and I sat down and we talked for awhile,” he added. “It was a really good experience getting to talk with somebody that has experience in the industry way more than I do — that was one of the first real conversations I had in-depth with another artist.”

In addition to working ...

Nicki Minaj’s ‘No Love (Remix)’ Skirt Has No Front…Or Back

by 25 mins ago

Last night, August Alsina’s video for “No Love (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj dropped. To promote the video, Nicki shared a bunch of photos of her video wardrobe, including this cutout vest and skirt.

The vest appears to be made of straight-up metal, which, considering Nicki’s affinity for chain mail isn’t that surprising, but that skirt? That’s an entirely new approach to cutouts.

The skirt is made up of two panels of white fabric joined together by some pretty sparse netting. It is remarkably high-waisted considering how barely-existent it is—there is, like, one inch of skin between the top of the skirt and the bottom of her white croptop.

But(t), of course, in typical Nicki fashion, there is more to this outfit than immediately meets the eye. Much like her tiny turtleneck from over the weekend, at certain angles, this skirt reveals an entirely unexpected element.

See? Were you expecting that? I wasn’t, TBH. Does this really count a a skirt anymore? To me, this feels like there’s more of an absence of fabric than actual fabric present. When does a skirt lose its identity, y’know?

You can watch Nicki and her cage skirt in all their glory below!
