The 6 Worst Movie Wedding Themes Ever

by 26 mins ago

Themed weddings are all the rage these days, from nautical to summer camp motifs.

That’s all well and good, and we have no moral objections to matching invitations to napkins, but there is such a thing as taking it too far. For example, we know that “The Hunger Games” books and movies are beloved. We know. That doesn’t mean we’re fully on board that train to the Capitol when it comes to themeing your nuptials around it.

Think about it: It’s a dystopian story that revolves around kids brutally murdering each other. The first installment nearly ends in a double suicide! Ah, romance. We don’t care how cute it would be to give out little Mockingjay pins as favors or serve a berry cobbler instead of a cake, it’s just a little off to us.

In that spirit, here are 6 other movies we think would make for similarly terrible wedding themes.

1. “Swing Kids”

Pro: Your place cards could be tiny records with each guest’s name written in the middle!
Con: Nazis, suicide, you name it.

2. “You’re Next”

Pro: Everyone can wear animal masks. It’ll be so cute.
Con: Murder. Lots of murder.

3. “The Green Mile”

Pro: Cute little trained mouse ringbearers!
Con: Though the lovable rodent is everyone’s favorite animal pal, he dies a terrible death.

4. “Gravity”

Pro: Gorgeous celestial decorations, real opportunity for big paper lanterns. (The moon, duh.)
Con: The sheer terror of open space.

5. “The Fault In Our Stars”

Pro: Another recent beloved ...

Is This Whitney Houston’s Greatest Live Performance Of All?

by 30 mins ago

Because oh my god obviously it makes so much sense, there’s a new CD/DVD compilation of Whitney Houston’s most beloved live performances dropping later this year.

Here’s the album cover for Live: Her Greatest Performances.

whitney houstonRCA

Out November 10, Live: Her Greatest Performances will be the late singer’s first-ever live LP, the AP reports. The posthumous release, her second after 2012′s I Will Always Love You: The Best Of Whitney Houston, will feature 16 iconic live recordings spanning Houston’s entire career, from “The Merv Griffin Show” in 1983 to “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 2009 — with plenty of stops at 1991′s “Welcome Home Heroes” concert special along the way.

SO READY FOR THIS.

Personally, I’ve always had the softest of soft spots for her rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl XXV in 1991. Yes, I know that it’s not a Whitney original. Yes, I know that blind patriotism is dumb. Yes, I know that the NFL is seriously effed sometimes. But please lower your pitchforks, and let me explain.

Whitney’s national anthem performance is track #7 BTW.

The power of Houston’s vocals mixed the effortless ease with which she lays waste to Tampa Stadium is nothing short of inspiring. (And I haven’t even begun to extoll the virtues of that early-’90s windbreaker/headband combo…) Quite simply, it’s the gold standard against which all other ...

Peep Kimye, One Direction And Miley Cyrus On Ashish’s Spring 2015 Runway

by 7 mins ago

Ashish gets us, plain and simple. Every season we look forward to scoping out their high-glamour streetwear (and Beyonce-themed ensembles) at London Fashion Week, but for their Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Ashish has officially outdone themselves. Not only are they the only brand to use all-black models on their runway, but they always find a way to squeeze in a killer pop culture homage (or two!) in their collection.

AshishGetty Images

Case in point: this miraculous ensemble. Yep, Ashish paired an embroidered sequin sweatshirt of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s faces with jeans covered in One Direction‘s (very bedazzled) visages. (And if this whole wearing-faces-on-your-pants thing feels familiar, you’re totally not crazy. Lady Gaga sported this mega-popular Japanese trend with Disney princesses’ faces last year!)

AshishGetty Images

Ashish also created the most badass outfit ever by pairing a Miley Cyrus-inspired sweater with jeans covered in middle fingers and cigarette packs inscribed with the words “F*** off.”

AshishGetty Images

In another IDGAF look, Ashish flipped the script on how we’re all supposed to wear jeans by putting the back pockets on the front. Very Kris Kross. (Really wishing we could see the back right now, though.)

Also, this happened. *insert 32 celebration hand emojis*

For another look, Ashish transformed giant pants into overalls and added a fresh spin on the traditional silk blouse. Displaced collars as ...

The Stuff On This Miley Cyrus-Endorsed Website Is Weird As Hell

by 1 min ago

This morning, Miley Cyrus shared a new present she received from Wayne Coyne and Katy Weaver. No, it wasn’t a gift certificate to Walmart—it was a rainbow sweatshirt, complete with fluffy cloud sleeves.

Where does one even get a sweatshirt like this, you ask? Well, it’s your lucky day. Miley actually shared where it came from—a Japanese e-commerce site called Galaxxxy. I took the liberty of scouring the site for other items Miley might be interested in and, instead, stumbled upon some of the most bizarre clothing items and accessories I’ve ever seen.

Duck Tank

GalaxxxyGalaxxy

If you want to look like you’re straight-up getting eaten by a duck with long eyelashes, this is the tank for you.

Food-Themed Clothing

This ice cream cone dress and pizza set are for the biggest ice cream and ‘za fans in the world. I mean, we love us some food-themed goods, but I don’t know how easy these would be to incorporate into our wardrobes.

Elaborate Accessories

GalaxxxyGalaxxxy

While Nicki Minaj wore this very same ice cream necklace to the 2011 VMAs, I’m not sure I could make it #WERK IRL because it’d remind me of how hungry I am all the time. That pink pony has more hair than I do—also, it’d probably be very itchy on your chest?

11 Times Celebrities Were Totally Normal And We Loved Them For It

by 37 mins ago

Celebrities. We want to be like them: we covet their closets, their paychecks and, in extreme cases, their FACES. And yet, celebs can seem so different and so distant from us that it’s difficult to imagine them being like us non-famous common folk. That’s why it’s VERY refreshing to see stars from Taylor Swift to Bill Murray act, well, normal.

Don’t believe it? I’ve found 11 very glaring examples that your favorite stars on the charts and the big screen are — shocking! — human beings too.

1. They’re fancy clumsy.

*Watch until the end of Iggy Azalea‘s video.

2. They fangirl/fanboy hardcore.

3. They crash parties and dance to “Turn Down For What.” Hey, Bill Murray!

4. They indulge in friendly dance-offs.

5. They’re awkward.

6. They flub names/words and misspell.

7. They get tattoos that they regret later.

BrodyTattoo

Remember when Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner got tattoos of each other’s names?

Adrienne Bailon also tattooed her former boyfriend’s name on her butt.

8. They eavesdrop on other people’s dinner dates.

9. They hate getting waxes.

10. They enjoy (bad) karaoke.

11. They stroll down the street with no bodyguards.

Not sure I’d be wearing those stilettos though!

Common’s Dad Taught Hip-Hop A Bunch Of Lessons Before His Death

by 4 mins ago

Longtime Common fans know the voice of his father, Lonnie “Pops” Lynn, all too well, as he’s appeared on several of the rapper’s albums. But on Monday, the Com confirmed that his dad passed away. Lynn was 71.

Common gave no details, but praised his dad’s work. “He was truly a natural poet and master of words. His personality and soul shined through his work,” the AP reported on Monday. “The way he said things made me look at life and the world in a new way, in a different way. They always sparked a thought in my head. His words would always make me strive to achieve higher, to write better, to be more truthful with my words.”

Pops first appeared on Common’s 1994 album Resurrection LP on “Pop’s Rap” and not only taught his son, but passed on many lessons to those of us who were listening as well. Here are some of the biggest lessons we learned from Lonnie “Pops” Lynn.

Peace Grows From Love

On the original “Pop’s Rap,” Mr. Lynn told us what it was like back in his day and all about the hope he had for this hip-hop generation. “I see harmony, understanding and they’re working on that love thing, too,” he said optimistically.

Being A Father Isn’t A One-Way Street

On “Pop’s Rap, Part 2/ Fatherhood,” Lynn was so proud of his son, who had grown to a certified rap star and was also expecting his first child. Pops went on to tell ...

The Wait For Chris Brown’s X Is Finally Over: But How Does It Sound?

by 10 mins ago

Chris Brown is a perpetual underdog, constantly on a comeback from something, and his latest album, X, is the breadcrumb trail that he hopes will lead him back to the pop pedestal he once stood on.

Breezy’s X was originally scheduled for a 2013 release, off the back of his Michael Jackson-inspired sing-along “Fine China,” but after mounting legal trouble and mandated anger management treatment, the album was pushed back. Brown was then arrested in March on a probation violation and locked up until June, putting the LP in limbo for the first half of the year.

Luckily for Chris, his music reigned and the album was finally released on Tuesday (September 16). Project lead-ups like the aforementioned “Fine China” and the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Love More” proved that Brown had legitimate heat to offer, but it was his December single “Loyal” that burned up the the Billboard charts.

X feels like it exists in two parts. There’s the standard edition album with sure-fire winners like the love-in-the-club tune “New Flame,” with Usher and Rick Ross. Then there’s the deluxe edition, which tacks on the older 2013 offerings at the end. While there’s surely some label-backed marketing reason that explains the division, X is best when digested as an entire body of work.

“Don’t Think They Know” features a posthumous performance from Aaliyah and a vocal throw to Jon B.’s 1998 hit “They Don’t Know”; and honestly, the track is too good ...

‘Teen Mom 2′ Sneak Peek: Corey Wants To Do ‘What’s Best’ For His Girls

by 27 mins ago

Leah and Corey clashed over a handful of co-parenting issues on last week’s “Teen Mom 2episode — and in the sneak peek below, the young dad decides to take steps toward gaining more custody of the twins.

Corey and his wife Miranda have a candid conversation en route to his lawyer’s office and discuss the reasons they’re pursuing more time with his children. “I just really want what’s best for the girls, and that’s the main thing,” he says. “That’s my number one priority — what’s best for the girls. They just need structure.”

Miranda agrees. “That’s what I think is really important to understand…we’re not trying to take away, we’re not attacking anybody,” she says.

And while communicating with Leah about Ali and Aleeah is difficult now, Corey admits it wasn’t always that way.

“We used to be able to co-parent — we used to co-parent great,” he admits. “And that’s because I would give in a lot — to the crap. And now that I actually stand up for myself, [it's] like the world’s ending now because it’s personal.”

To hear the entire chat, including Corey opening up about Ali’s wheelchair as well as his arguments with Leah at the drop-offs, watch the clip below. And be sure to watch a new episode of “Teen Mom 2″ on Wednesday at 10/9c.

This Creepy Video Game Has A ‘Boobie Squeezing Simulator’ Controller

by 6 mins ago

In a super exciting development for preteen boys, frustrated virgins and dirty old men everywhere, video game designers in Japan have created a virtual reality groping simulator that comes with squeezable breasts. The game is called — brace yourself for the astounding creativity here — “Boobie Squeezing Simulator,” and the only objective is to go around copping feels.

boobgrab-gifYouTube

(Here’s the full video, if you must watch it.)

Using an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, the user simply has to squeeze the set of cushiony boobs in front of him. Then, the sensors on it sync up to the game onscreen, so you can see the little anime character flinch. Uh…what?!

If this kind of stuff is the future of technology, we’ve got a lot of explaining to do. First and foremost, the game better come with a warning that this kind of shiz doesn’t fly on the streets. Pretty sure you’ll be slapped with a fist and/or a lawsuit if you go around trying to play this game IRL.

Guys, just ask a real girl on a real date (and treat her with real respect). Oh, and NEVER let her see this gross thing hooked up to your TV, or else your hands aren’t going anywhere.
