Dylan O’Brien Officially Has The Best Victory Dance Ever — Watch

by 18 mins ago

With “The Maze Runner” hitting theaters September 19th, the main cast have been promoting up a storm. In an interview of sorts with AwesomenessTV, Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scoledario, Will Poulter and Thomas Brodie-Sangster play a game called “Fugitive” — basically, the British version of Cops & Robbers.

Cop Scoledario squares off against robbers Poulter, Brodie-Sangster, and O’Brien as they run like crazy to escape her, and it’s the most adorable thing ever. It’s also probably a welcome break for O’Brien who, at this point, may have been asked “Did you have to run in your audition?” approximately one billion times by now.

Check it out:

Of course, Dylan won — he is the Maze Runner after all — and his victory dance is the best thing we’ve seen all day:

However, it’s hardly the first time that O’Brien has goofed off in GIF-worthy form. Here’s something you may or may not have known about Dylan O’Brien — he likes to dance. Like a total dork. And we love it more than puppies.

Don’t believe us?

What Does Nicki Minaj’s Cryptic Channing Tatum Instagram MEAN?

by 8 mins ago

Uh, pardon us, but we’re very confused here. In fact, the only emotion we may be feeling more strongly than confused is intrigued.

Nicki Minaj today (September 11) popped a pic on Instagram of her waving a lil wassup to Noted Handsome Man Channing Tatum. That’s normal, we’d wave at him too. (Actually, false, we’d turn sheet white and do our best statue impressions and then start screaming as soon as we were out of his eyeline.)

So it’s not so much the pic that has us flipping out as her caption: “Oh hi Channing. See u on set of our new movie,” followed by a winking, tongue-out emoji.

Um, WHAT?

There are several possibilities here:
1. Nicki Minaj is actually in a movie with Channing Tatum
Maybe it is what it is. Could Minaj be appearing in “Magic Mike XXL,” the sequel to Tatum’s stripper movie that put “Pony” right back at the top of our Spotify playlists? It could happen. Minaj had a turn in “The Other Woman” earlier this year, so maybe she’s not done with the silver screen.

2. She’s messing with us
Nobody knows the power of suggestive social media better than Ms. Minaj. She could be rubbing her hands together, happily watching us freak the eff out in the time since she posted the pic.

3. She has something in her eye and is subtly trying to get C-Tates to help her out.
Maybe that emoji was less of a wink and more of an “OMG, my eye! Please help! ...

Nirvana Lyrics Baffle Teens

by 4 mins ago

A few months ago, a video titled “Teens React To Nirvana” delighted us all as a cadre of young ones expressed their admiration for the seminal band. A new video, however, shows that while the younger set may be down with Cobain and Co., they might not necessarily be able to sing along when “Smells Like Teen Spirit” hits the speakers.

Watch a group of teens — hilariously — react to the jam’s lyrics (sans music) below, or just comb through some of the best responses we culled from the bunch.

Before you judge, however, take a look at #11, because it’s actually kind of true. (Unless you’ve learned all the lyrics to “Lithium” alone in your apartment, practicing with your cat for karaoke night. Which is something I definitely haven’t done…)

1.) I don’t know if this person knows, but lyrics are supposed to be, like, connect[ed].

2.) ‘Oh no, I know a dirty word’ — that’s like something that a kid would say.

3.) He must have no confidence that the best thing they do, they suck at it.

4.) Is this a Kanye West song?

5.) This does not make any sense.

6.) [Whatever, nevermind] — that used to be my Tumblr URL. Maybe this is about teenage wrath.

7.) They don’t even rhyme properly.

8.) Now it’s sounding like a love song.

A History Of Guns On The Batmobile

by 9 mins ago

“No guns, no killing!”

That’s what Batman (Christian Bale) yells at Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) in “The Dark Knight Rises,” and it’s something that’s become a cardinal rule of the character for decades now.

Constant fans will often point out that the original comic book iteration of the character regularly carried a firearm, like most olde timey Mystery Men of his day. But as the character grew and changed, writers began to accept that the boy who watched his parents gunned down in front of him would grow up to be a man firmly against killing, and by guns in particular.

But when it comes to the Batmobile? Well, that’s an entirely different story, and one that’s continued to the reveal of the vehicle from “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” earlier today (September 11).

“Batman” and “Batman Returns”

Batmobile

Okay, remember that no gun rule? Throw it out the bat-window. Not only does Tim Burton’s Batmobile have guns, it’s got hardcore weapons that fire something far more lethal than rubber bullets: two M1919 Browning machine guns that pop out from flaps in the fender.

“Batman Forever”

Batmobile

Taking a break from high impact weaponry, “Batman Forever” mostly played around with grappling hooks and jumps, rather than guns.

“Batman & Robin”

Batmobile

Like the rest of the movie, Joel Schumacher’s sequel to “Batman Forever” delved into excess when it came to weapons, from rocket launchers to bombs. No guns, so we sort of get around the rule – but no ...

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’: Watch The Hilarious Blooper Reel

by 11 mins ago

It’s a tough time to be a Trekkie. “Star Trek Into Darkness” is over a year old, the potential sequel may not come out until 2016, and director J.J. Abrams jumped ship (get it?) to arch rival “Star Wars” – though he will be staying on in a Producing capacity.

Luckily, Paramount Home Video has you covered, with this hilarious blooper reel from “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

It’s a great combo of behind-the-scenes joking and bloopers, from Zoe Saldana hitting a Klingon below the belt, to Simon Pegg calling an alien a f–kface and asking him to get married, and perhaps most shocking of all, to Zachary Quinto’s Spock actually cracking a smile.

Oh, and people falling down. There’s a lot of falling down in this.

So explore the strange new world that was the “Star Trek Into Darkness” set, and enjoy.

Lady Gaga ‘Felt Dead’ Before Tony Bennett Came Along

by 15 mins ago

Believe it or not, there was a time when Lady Gaga, and I quote, “didn’t even want to sing anymore.” Lady “I literally have a treble clef tattooed on my lower back” Gaga. Yep. Her. Seriously.

In the new cover interview for Parade, the “Applause” singer opens up about the tempestuous last year of her life and how Cheek To Cheek, her upcoming collaborative jazz album with Tony Bennett, saved her from the storm. Gaga also touches on the early days of her career and directly addresses the (relatively) low sales of her last solo release. Suddenly, the Koons is intrigued.

lady gaga, tony bennett,Ben Baker for Parade

As Gaga tells the magazine, 2014 started out rough: “I was so sad. I couldn’t sleep. I felt dead.” Only by recording Cheek To Cheek, which drops on September 23, did she rekindle that fire inside. “Working with Tony has reaffirmed everything I knew but that you start to forget when your life changes and it gets really noisy. For Tony, it’s all about great music.”

According to the 28-year-old singer, not all of her past collaborators had such a focus. She cites a lack of control around the time that her debut album, The Fame, was released in 2008, claiming that a lot of time was spent altering her voice to make it “more electronic and auto-tuned for radio” — hence why she probably ...

MGK Made A Pump-Up Anthem For The Cleveland Browns

by 15 mins ago

Machine Gun Kelly has always repped his native Cleveland to the fullest. He’s even rolled with the local sports teams, like when he showed up to the 2013 NBA Draft Lottery with the Cleveland Cavaliers owner. Now, he’s putting on for the city’s football team with his new theme song, “Rock & Roll (Dog Pound Remix).”

“With all of the renewed energy in the city I decided it was time to create a new theme song to celebrate the Cleveland Browns,” Kells wrote when he posted the song, both a reference to the NFL season, which began last week, and the Browns’ rookie quarterback, Johnny Manziel.

Like the title suggests, the track is a rock and roll-influenced jam, with an electric guitar setting the tone throughout (the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is, of course, located in Cleveland).

MGK, who is currently on tour, will be performing the song during halftime at the Browns’ home game against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday.

SBTRKT And A$AP Ferg’s ‘Voices In My Head’ Is The Most Unexpected Collaboration: Listen

by 12 mins ago

You never know where a member of the A$AP Mob will pop up these days. Earlier in the week, we heard Rocky on Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One (remix),” and now we’re treated to A$AP Ferg’s collaboration with SBTRKT.

“Voices in My Head,” with its dark, moody beat, gives Ferg the spotlight and a chance to show off his flexibility. Bet you didn’t expect the guy who brought us “Shabba” and “Work” to end up on a song like this. The eerie background vocals and drums on this one are courtesy of Warpaint.

The song will be the last thing you hear on SBTRKT’s upcoming album, Wonder Where We Land.

“I started this in London with an idea I recorded on an upright piano,” SBTRKT explained when he premiered the track. “Took this to Los Angeles (set up at Fleas the Boat studio in Silver Lake) collaborating further with Stella (drums) & Emily (vocals) from Warpaint – took this back to london to work more arrangement ideas to it and finally a couple months later took that to New York (Downtown – The Roots were in the studio next door!) and collaborated with Ferg ([shout] to our friend Callender for connecting us).”

Teen Cashier Embezzles $40,000(!) From Best Buy, Judge Lets Her Off The Hook

by 4 mins ago

Johanna Rae Taylor could’ve received a decade-long prison sentence, but this 19-year-old is perhaps America’s luckiest thief.

Over the course of five months, Taylor — a former Best Buy cashier in Grand Rapids, Michigan — ordered $35,000 worth of Best Buy appliances and electronics online, then used her computer skills at work to change the amount she paid for these items to $0. She did this more than 80 times, ultimately pleading guilty to the charges, Mlive.com reports.

Plus, she stole $561 in store gift cards and $3,644 in cash the old-fashioned way — summing up to a grand total of $39,654. (I mean, what does a 19-year-old even do with that much money?)

Convicted of embezzling from her employer, Taylor wouldn’t have gotten out of prison until she was almost 30…but the judge took pity on her, calling the teenager “one of the least likely criminal types” that he’s seen, adding, “You don’t seem generally disposed toward criminal conduct.”

So instead of 10 years behind bars, the judge only gave her 200 hours of community service over the next three months, plus a reduced (but still huge) $24,769 in restitution. Oh yeah, she also has to return $12,000 worth of unopened “purchases.”

And because Taylor is a first time offender under the age of 21, the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act can keep a felony conviction off her permanent record (she won’t have to reveal any of this info on her future job applications) as long as she ...

Bella Thorne, Olivia Palermo, Taryn Manning, And More At NYFW

by 5 mins ago

Today is New York Fashion Week’s final day–can you believe it? Are y’all still with us? While we may be sleep-deprived, all our faves are still fresh-faced and hitting up all that NYFW has to offer. We’ve been keeping tabs on who’s in the front row, who’s backstage, and–most importantly, IMHO–who is getting into the after-parties. Below are a few of our picks from yesterday’s shows!

Bella ThorneGetty

Bella Thorne attended Jeremy Scott in a custom bright green monster-print dress from the designer. The highlight of the show for Bella? Sitting on Miley’s lap, I assume.

Taryn ManningGetty

Whoa, Pennsatucky cleans up nice. We’re so used to seeing Taryn Manning in a prison uniform on Orange Is The New Black, that we’re pleasantly surprised to see her in something other than sweats and khakis. Taryn looked incredible at the Jeremy Scott show in a strapless button-down dress, a sheer black cardigan, and studded boots.

Olivia Palermo and Michael KorsGetty

Olivia Palermo went for super boho chic at Michael Kors. She all suede and fringe everything, while designer Michael Kors stuck to his uniform of jeans, a black tee and jacket with sensible sneakers. Nice New Balances, Michael. How normcore!
