Can Liam Rise To The Occasion As The Newest ‘Teen Wolf’?

by 4 mins ago

Having nearly been killed by the “Teen Wolf” Nogitsune no fewer than a dozen times, Scott and Kira have developed into fearless warriors, and werecoyote Malia, who joined their pack after the creature was finally cut down, doesn’t have a timid bone in her body. But Scott’s newest beta wolf, Liam, isn’t so steadfast — and on Monday’s “Teen Wolf” episode, he feared he didn’t have the backbone to keep up with the others.

Liam, who never asked for “the bite,” is doing pretty well for himself, all things considered. He managed to climb his way out of Garrett’s temporary prison, has gone toe-to-toe with Berserkers and is a monster on the lacrosse field. But when he finally understood that The Benefactor’s assassins had no intention of relenting — and that he might not ever be completely out of the woods as one of their supernatural targets — he felt beaten down, and wasn’t sure he could press on. “I’m not like you,” he told Scott and said he was in awe of the Alpha’s resolve.

Luckily for Liam, the dead pool’s mainframe has been turned off, and the assassins are officially off his back, but there’s still plenty of danger to come. So when the time comes and Liam’s tested, will he rise to the occasion, or is he too dispirited to keep fighting? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Kanye West’s Dad Was Part Of The Paparazzi?

by 3 mins ago

Kanye West has had a strained relationship with the paparazzi for years. But it turns out his own father was actually a paparazzo, he says.

“My father was a paparazzo himself,” Yeezy said, according to the Daily Mail, during a deposition in a civil case where he’s being sued by a photographer. “My father was a medical illustrator, a Black Panther, a Christian marriage counselor.”

His father, Ray West, was a respected photojournalist, employed by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The AJC even has a 30-plus photo gallery of some of his photos on their site. The work is quite stunning — it captures the people, places and events that colored the metro area in the late 1970s and early ’80s — and is in no way reminiscent of the celeb-hunting photos we think of today when we hear the word “paparazzi.”

The suit stems from an incident in 2013 where Kanye got into an altercation with pap Daniel Ramos. Though ‘Ye stressed that he didn’t intend to hurt Ramos, his frustration with what he feels to be a constant intrusion on his life was apparent.

“This guy is asking me about dumb sh–,” he said. “So, you know, I’m sorry that I tried to grab his camera. But I obviously didn’t try to hurt him. I’m not here to hurt people.”

Grimes Is A Desert Nomad/Neon Raver In ‘Go’ Video: Watch

by 10 mins ago

Not only did Grimes and labelmate Blood Diamonds hook up for “Go,” but they decided to go on a trippy desert conquest together for its video.

Grimes and Blood Diamonds go desert nomad for the clip, floating sheets of satin behind them and throwing sand in the air. And while the landscape may be an homage to 2012′s “Genesis,” other scenes show her undulating uncomfortably in a fish-eye lens, flanked by two mimes. She highlights the song’s club-ready beat with neon, blacklights and strobes, recreating the chaos of the track, which was originally meant for Rihanna.

Love Is Back On The Line — Along With One Million Dollars — For Season 2 Of ‘Are You The One’

by 11 mins ago

The formula for “Are You The One” seems simple: 10 guys and 10 girls live in a beautiful mansion, all on a mission to correctly identify their perfect matches — which are based on a series of previously conducted compatibility and matchmaking tests. If they’re able to go 10/10 in 10 tries — combined with weeks of competitions, nominating their fellow cast mates to find out who science (also known as the Truth Booth) says is their one-and-only, attending Matchup Ceremonies to test their choices, and taking some trips to the “Boom Boom Room” — they’ll share one million dollars. The Season 1 gang were able to successfully strike gold — as well as experience one epic proposal that led to a baby on the way — but will the cast of Season 2 share the same fortune in love and money? Or will they leave Puerto Rico empty-handed?

ayto2

In the trailer below, Ryan Devlin outlines the challenges ahead and introduces a new twist: One lucky man has TWO perfect matches, making way for an 11th girl. Sounds easy enough to find a true connection when they’re standing right in front of you, right? Well, not for this group which, as Ryan points out, “sucks at relationships.”

Bring on the cat fights, hookups, picturesque dates in paradise and tears. Lots of tears.

Check out what’s to come from “Are You The One?” and get ready for the season premiere on Monday, October 6 at ...

One of the biggest elements that the “Hunger Games” series will introduce with the upcoming “Mockingjay: Part I” is the rebellion and the cast of really badass characters that will help Katniss in her quest against the Capitol.

A new collection of character posters (via Wired) just dropped, highlighting some of the new faces, including Cressida played by “Game of Thrones” alum and half-bald badass Natalie Dormer.

Also, there’s Gale.

5 Ways To Treat Internet Addiction (Including Sometimes Using The Internet)

by 1 min ago

When Internet Addiction Disorder was first introduced in 1995, no one was supposed to take it seriously. Dr. Ivan Goldberg developed the diagnosis as satire and no one got the joke. Almost two decades later, a doctor’s failed attempt at comedy writing describes a disease that actually seems legit and common.

Internet addiction is not yet officially recognized by the DSM-V, which the American Psychiatric Association uses to define and diagnose mental illnesses. That hasn’t stopped a variety of treatment options from emerging; it just stops your insurance from paying for it. But if you have the means and motivation to break your Snapchat cravings, here are your options.

1. Therapy

therapy

Dr. Kimberly Young was the first to develop a treatment model for internet addiction using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Harm Reduction Therapy when she founded the Center For Internet Addiction in 1995. CBT is a form of talk therapy that’s “problem-focused” and “goal-directed,” while HRT is a type of substance abuse treatment that focuses on reducing the negative impact of your addiction rather than abstaining. (They can’t expect you to be completely internet-free when part of the therapy is offered via Skype.)

Hourly sessions are $120 with a range of possible additional fees, depending on your individual assessment.

‘Pretty Little Liars’: 5 Burning Questions From That Fatal Finale

by 18 mins ago

Well, they did it. “Pretty Little Liars” went ahead and killed the one person I specifically asked them not to kill during their FAtal Finale, which was actually titled “Taking This One to the Grave.” [Major spoilers ahead!]

So, yes, Mona Vanderwaal, the girl-next-door formerly known as the emotional terrorist A, was murdered by the REAL A right after she got into a whole bunch of ivy league schools. (We call this “Gwen Stacy-ing.”) I’m devastated by her death because Janel Parrish was, without a doubt, one of the consistently most intriguing and entertaining actors on the show, but I’m also left with about a zillion questions now that she’s gone.

Let’s go over them together, shall we?

1. Who killed Mona?
Obviously, we are 100 percent being led to believe that it was Alison who slashed Mona to bits then removed her body and replaced the town’s Nativity Jesus with a lookalike Mona doll. (NOT CREEPY AT ALL, by the way.) But being that there are still three years left on this show and that nothing ever comes easy, there is a very good chance that one of Rosewood’s many high-quality costume shops provided the Alison wig that the killer used, just to trick us. They’re mean like that.

Could an even bigger main liar than Alison have done the deed?! A secret DiLaurentis sibling? A Liar boyfriend in drag? Sky’s the limit here, people.

2. What did Mona know?

Abigail Breslin And Arnold Schwarzenegger Are Going To Zombify Your 2015

by 10 mins ago

The best new zombie movie you’ve never heard of is coming to theaters sooner than expected, thanks to some speedy snapping-up by Lionsgate.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio purchased rights for “Maggie,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin as a father and daughter living through the zombie apocalypse, at the last minute before its scheduled premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this week. Instead, the movie will make its way into theaters across North America sometime in the first half of 2015 — which makes it one to put on your must-watch list for next year. Here’s why.

Breathing new life into the undead
“Maggie” promises all the usual horrors of the zombie genre, but with a subversive twist. In this story, Breslin’s character is infected with the zombie plague and trying to ready herself for the end with the help of her father, who won’t leave her side — making it less a survivalist thriller, and more a dramatic study of a family facing down its doom.

Arnold gets to dig deep
With Schwarzenegger’s reputation as a go-to guy for action heroics with an occasional side of physical comedy, it’s nice to see him take a role in which he can take a break from punching things and actually, like, emote. Although on the downside, this also means that “Maggie” will probably not include a scene in which Arnold delivers deadpan one-liners while mowing down zombies with a machine gun attached to a bigger machine gun ...

Is Daryl Dixon Gay? ‘The Walking Dead’ Showrunner Says… Stay Tuned?

by 18 mins ago

Earlier in the month, attention turned to some comments from “Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman, suggesting that Norman Reedus’ fan-favorite character, bow-wielding Daryl Dixon, could be gay.

Daryl’s sexuality hasn’t been addressed on the show, even though several fans frequently wonder about the rugged woodsman’s love life. Whatever Daryl’s sexual preference, it doesn’t sound like an answer is coming anytime soon.

In an interview with TV Line, “Walking Dead” show runner Scott M. Gimple says Daryl’s sex life “is not really addressed” in the show’s upcoming fifth season, though the show does plan to introduce a gay male character in the coming episodes.

Gimple added that the show isn’t “holding back information on Daryl’s sexuality as any sort of big reveal. The fact that there’s still a question as to what Daryl’s orientation is in Season 5 absolutely speaks to Daryl’s character; he is a very guarded, very closed-off individual in a lot of ways.”

“We have been able to see him ever so slowly open up and show the other characters aspect by aspect as to what makes him tick,” Gimple continued. “That’s been a very satisfying journey for all of us on the creative side to portray. [And] he’s still on that journey.”

In other words, the question remains about Daryl’s interests, and won’t likely resolve until after the coming season. On the bright side, that sounds pretty good for Daryl surviving until at least season six, right?
