Remember Lupita Nyong’o‘s gorgeous Vogue shoot? Well, it turns out there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than we even imagined, like Lupita posing with a snake. The 12 Years A Slave actress released a video of herself with a snake draped around her neck on her Instagram and, well, she acts a lot cooler than I would in the same situation. “Nobody said being on the cover would be easy,” reads the caption. True, Lupita, but nobody said you’d have to pose with snakes either. The things we do for #FASHUN.

Proving that she’s made of sterner stuff than most, Lupita gamely stands in place with the reptile and his handler while the photographer snaps away. While she looks a little, um, stiffer than usual, she waits for the shot to be taken and then runs for it.

The picture featuring the snake around her neck isn’t included in the Vogue spread, but the snake does make an appearance in a staring contest with the cover star. Don’t worry, snake—you still got your big magazine debut.

Jenelle Evans and her boyfriend Nathan announce some very special news to family members on the season premiere of “Teen Mom 2″: the sex of their baby.

In the sneak peek below, the couple pay a visit to Jenelle’s son Jace and her mom Barbara — with a stack of sonogram snapshots in hand. Shortly after arriving, Jenelle arranges the photos so that the final one in the pile will reveal the bundle of joy’s gender.

“The baby!” Babs exclaims as she view the images, before explaining to Jace that he’s looking at a photograph of what’s inside his mother’s belly. Babs’ reaction when she reaches the final picture?

“Oh boy!” she says. “Mommy’s having another baby boy!”

Nathan then asks Jace if he’s happy to be getting a baby brother — and the little boy’s smile is truly heartwarming. Even better: Babs’ reaction when Jenelle and Nathan reveal that they’re going to name the baby Kaiser.

The U.K.’s Metro reports that the 24-year-old elected to undergo a series of surgical and non-surgical cosmetic enhancements — like breast implants, tooth whitening, hair extensions, spray tans, a new wardrobe, new nails, upscale makeup, and some very British-sounding “bum padding” — because bullying had damaged her self-esteem.

“I was told every day [at school] that I was the ‘ugliest thing alive’ and I should ‘kill myself,’” BuzzFeed quotes Leeson as saying.

How does Claire feel now? “When I get my Kimmy on I feel like I’m unstoppable and untouchable and I feel like no one can stop me,” she told ITV’s “This Morning” on July 14. “I feel that I have built enough confidence to love myself a little bit more.”

That’s obviously great that she feels she’s been able to build up her self-confidence, but I kinda wish she’d been able to do it in a way that didn’t leave her “up to [her] eyeballs” in credit card debt? Boy bands unite!

Nick Carter and Jordan Knight have released their first single, “One More Time,” from their side project Nick & Knight.

The Backstreet Boy and New Kids on the Block member have made teenage dreams come true by joining forces to create a super-duo. And their new uptempo pop song sounds like it could have been pulled from either one of their boy-band catalogs.

The two trade verses as they sing about girlfriends who’ll never find anyone as good as them (obviously). Their voices come together in perfect harmony over the catchy chorus and a lot of Woo Hoo, Woo Hoos, which we can already imagine singing along to when they hit the road on their North American tour this fall.

“I know that you been thinking/ You’re better off leaving, but you’re never going to find another me/ You’re gonna feel so stupid when you realize what you did/ No one could make you feel like me,” Nick and Jordan sing.

“It just feels good to finally now be out of the gate,” Jordan told Ryan Seacrest in an interview. “You can really hear the chemistry and you can almost visualize us onstage performing, so I think it will do well for fans’ imaginations and what they’re going to look forward to when they come on our tour.”

Their album, Nick & Knight, drops September 2.

Swimming pools are wonderful, magical places. They are also magnets for embarrassment. The slippery conditions, the lack of clothing, the feeling of invincibility — and all of those scantily clad hotties watching your every move. It’s a great place to get a sunburn and get humiliated.

If you’re at the pool with your friends, go nuts. But if there’s anyone there you remotely want to kiss, avoid setting yourself up for these pool fails at all costs.

1. Don’t Push

If you push someone, you’re going in after them. That’s pool karma 101.

2. Don’t Showboat

99% of pool fails come from ostentatious behavior of some kind, and if your knot is a little loose, a big spinning dive into the pool is the easiest way to show everyone exactly what “shrinkage” is. This guy’s shorts come off in mid-air because he just had to hot dog it, but at least he wore a backup pair underneath. Are you Michael Phelps? If yes, then hey man, nice job in the Olympics. If no, then don’t show off.

3. Don’t Belly Flop

A belly flop is a great way to make everyone laugh for about eight seconds (especially if they’re pranking you), and then a great way to spend the next hour in complete agony. And to the fat kids out there: Don’t do it, bro. Don’t exploit your fatness for laughs. She won’t decide she likes you because your big belly is red now.

Weird Al Yankovic’s first video of his promised “eight videos in eight days” thing took aim at Pharrell and people he thought were “Tacky.” His second music video has three targets: “Blurred Lines,” lyric videos, and bad grammar.

The comedy singer hits all three with “Word Crimes,” set to the tune of Robin Thicke’s 2013 summer anthem. The video’s a pretty incredible piece of animation, as Yankovic cautions viewers against common grammatical errors while punctuation marks bounce along to the beat like Emily Ratajkowski.

Weird Al himself doesn’t appear at all in the video, which is also a take-down of the lyric videos that have soared in popularity over the last few years, thanks to Cee-Lo Green’s “F–k You” video.

With so much happening in each frame, there are a bunch of Easter eggs you might not catch the first time — in the lyric “You’re a lost cause,” he uses the “Lost” poster with an ABC logo on the bottom right that says “Learn your ABCs, doofus.”

But maybe more than anything else, the song’s a great, catchy way to bone up on some grammatical rules you might have forgotten, railing against people who say “I could care less” and who use “literally” wrong.

When it comes to the Hulk in “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” you’re going to like him when he’s angry — and you’re going to want to thank Andy Serkis.

Mark Ruffalo returns as Bruce Banner and his easily enraged alter-ego, but he’s coming back with a little help from Serkis, the motion-capture legend responsible for Gollum in the “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” films, as well as Caesar in the relaunched “Planet of the Apes” franchise. Serkis and his Imaginarium Studios serve as motion-capture consultants on “Age of Ultron,” focusing mostly on helping Ruffalo bring his Hulk to life.

“As consultants working with him on ‘Avengers,’ we’ve given him platforms for the Hulk, to help him do the best he can do,” Serkis told MTV about his involvement in the “Avengers” sequel. “Certain crews can find it funny having someone walk in who is not in costume. Imagine standing there and you have Iron Man, someone dressed as Thor, and then you come on in a motion-capture suit. You have to be taken seriously.”

Serkis and his team gave Ruffalo the tools to be taken seriously, by working with him and “a digital avatar, and with giving him a voice — literally giving him a voice, with these huge speakers.”

The result should be an even angrier, more awesome Hulk than ever seen before — a pretty impressive feat, considering Hulk was already the breakout star of the first “Avengers” film.

Yes! Yes! Yes! It’s hard to believe that it’s been a decade since “Napoleon Dynamite” came into our lives. But it has been, okay?

We know this because some of the movie’s stars gathered for an anniversary photo op recently and we could hardly recognize the old gang. There was Napoleon himself, Jon Heder, Deb (Tina Majorino), Summer Wheatly (Haylie Duff) and, of course, Pedro (Efren Ramirez). What? Uncle Rico was busy?

The anniversary will be celebrated for real on August 7 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery with a cast reunion and the story of the film’s creation.
