‘Beauty And The Beast’: Exclusive Finale Clip Shows The Doom Coming For VinCat

by 31 mins ago

Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) always seem to be in some sort of trouble, but Catherine is finally starting to figure out that it runs in the family — and maybe, just maybe, her ancestor Rebecca’s cruel fate will help her reshape her own. At least that’s what she thinks, but this exclusive clip from the July 7 finale, “Déjà Vu,” lets us know that Vincent doesn’t necessarily agree.

“The more I read it, the more I realize that what we went through is exactly what she did,” Catherine tells Vincent after she wakes up from a startling dream. “Someone was trying to destroy her Vincent too, just like Gabe.”

Luckily we’ll all get to see more of this tonight as the show airs some long-awaited Rebecca flashbacks, but Vincent doesn’t think that Rebecca’s past struggles with beasties — struggles that clearly parallel their own — are particularly important.

“Just because this Rebecca is going through something similar to us does not mean that it is happening to us,” he says. “This is in the past, and right now all I care about is the future… our future.”

Cute, Vin, but you definitely 100 percent sound like that guy in the horror movie who doesn’t realize that something terrible is happening until it’s much too late:

“Beauty and the Beast” airs at 9PM on The CW.

Is Robin Thicke’s ‘Paula’ Creepy Or Sweet?

by 35 mins ago

Creep. Stalker. Gross. Weird. Inappropriate.

Those are just a few of the (tamer) ways that Robin Thicke‘s new album, Paula, out Tuesday, has been described by critics, bloggers, people who think it’s just plain weird that the singer rush-recorded a whole album aimed at winning back his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton. But is it?

“Being a one-hit wonder is one thing and the usual follow-up is that nobody cares, not that everybody thinks you’re a jackass,” said Alan Light, who’s the author of the upcoming book “Let’s Go Crazy: Prince and the Making of Purple Rain.”

Thicke’s effort, a stripped-down, soulful meditation on love lost, regret and a yearning to have Patton back, is a brazen, old-school soul-sounding album that, yes, lacks the heat of a “Blurred Lines,” but Light, former Spin and Vibe editor in chief, wondered why it’s been met with so much bile.

'Blurred Lines' videoStar Track

“Often the backlash after someone has a big hit is that people are tired of them or they’re overexposed, but it’s not about them as a human being, which seems to be what this is,” he said of the very personal venom aimed at Thicke’s effort to patch his broken marriage. “Think about Marvin Gaye’s record [1978's Here, My Dear, about the bitter dissolution of his marriage] or [Eric Clapton's] ‘Layla’ [about the guitarist's love for friend George Harrison's then-wife]. In this media environment what the hell would people ...

Video Premiere: Taylor Bennett Shows Off His ‘New Chevy’ With King Louie

by 49 mins ago

Sometimes musical talent just runs in the family. Take Chance the Rapper and his younger brother, Taylor Bennett, for example — both are very skilled MCs, and Taylor is on the up and up.

The Chicago rapper’s sophomore project, Mainstream Music, was released in May, led by the single “New Chevy,” and MTV News has an exclusive video premiere to accompany the track.

The video for “New Chevy” was directed by Thelonious Stokes and includes an appearance from King Louie, who is featured on the track. Naturally, there’s some eye candy involved, because if you were a teenager with a new Chevy, you’d probably be using it to hit on girls too.

Did you catch the subtle references to Kanye’s “Flashing Lights” video, though? Check it out above.

This summer, Bennett will be performing at the official Lollapalooza after party with Nas and Vic Mensa in Chicago, and you can also catch him at the Austin’s ACL festival in October.

A native of Grenada, a product of Brooklyn, a student of hip-hop.

Foxes’ ‘Glorious’ Video: For Those Who Like Their Creepy Candy-Coated

by 59 mins ago

What do you get when you cross the candy-coated, retro-pastel visuals of “The Stepford Wives” and “Edward Scissorhands” with a gently warbling electro-ballad? Foxes’ new video for “Glorious,” apparently.

Oh, and in case you’re drawing a blank on where you know her from, Foxes provided the vocals on that massively huge, entirely inescapable Zedd track, “Clarity.” Maybe you’ve heard it before? Trick question: EVERYONE HAS.

Released on July 6, the clip for the title track off of the British singer-songwriter’s debut album sees her lounging poolside in a repressed town called “Glorious.” To call this country-club setting unsettling and sterile is definitely an understatement. It’s simultaneously romantic and on the verge of social implosion. If you told me that zombie apocalypse struck this idyllic scene just moments after “Glorious” ends, I’d believe you. Anyway, check it out below.

Jennifer Lawrence Can’t Play Nice With Emma Watson In Epic Photobomb

by 1 min ago

Jennifer Lawrence is taking her photo-crashing game from “bomb” to “palm” in some new snaps from the Christian Dior Haute Couture show in Paris Monday (July 7).

Apparently, the “Hunger Games” star hit up the show with Emma Watson during Paris Fashion Week today and posed all nice and pretty for a slew of photos — until Lawrence, like a cat, got bored and batted Watson in the face.

Looks like the “Harry Potter” actress could file some sort of class-action suit with Taylor Swift at this point charging Lawrence with Grand Photo Messer-upper-rey. (That’s a thing, I promise.) Lawrence famously monster-faced her way into an otherwise gorgeous snap of Swift at the “Golden Globes.”

Never change, J-Law — and please steer clear of our selfies.

Joe Manganiello Is Writing A ‘True Blood’ Spin-off For Alcide

by 3 mins ago

reporting by Josh Horowitz

Warning — massive “True Blood” spoilers for the July 6 episode ahead!

So like it or not (and if the answer is “like it,” then you’re a monster) Alcide Herveaux died on “True Blood” last night. He got shot in the face by some unnamed hillbilly, and it sucked. In fact, it sucked so bad that actor Joe Manganiello has been very not-shy in telling the media that he also thinks that it sucks. But there is a silver lining, folks — Manganiello told MTV News during a recent sit-down that he’s penning, you guessed it, an Alcide spin-off!

“I would love to do an Alcide movie at some point,” he said. “I’d love to do a one-off, a spin-off adventure somewhere, in the way that Wolverine had… I’d love to be able to do that, in the world of werewolves. I actually started writing a script, and was thinking maybe one of these days I’ll call up Charlaine [Harris, who wrote the 'True Blood' books]; take her up on that offer. She said if I ever came to her house she’d make me dinner, so maybe I’ll go down to her house and pitch it to her.”

Sounds like a solid idea to us — and largely due to Manganiello’s next point, which is that “the werewolf” movie has largely fallen by the wayside, in favor of its more vampiric cohorts.

“Nobody’s really done the werewolf movie right, to me,” Manganiello continued. “I just don’t know that ...

Did Ja Rule Really Beat Up 50 Cent? ‘Abso-fu–in-lutely’

by 26 mins ago

This isn’t the first time Ja Rule has told the story of when he beat up 50 Cent, but it might be the most animated.

In an interview with “Ebro in the Morning” on Hot 97, which aired Monday (July 7), Ja recounts a day, over a decade ago, when he says he handed Fif a beatdown in Atlanta.

“We get to talking, and the talk got heated because I got mad, and I start screaming at him and telling him that he was a bitch and this that and the third,” the Queens native recalled, telling a story he highlights in his new book, “Unruly: The Highs and Lows of Becoming a Man.”

“And so he swings at me. He caught me a little bit, but I dipped it. And then hit him with the bat.”

It didn’t end there, of course.

Ja says when he got back to New York, he heard that his rival had been saying that he knocked him out and took his chain. That’s not the way it went, though, the rapper insists.

But he’s not out to reignite the past or cause further issues. “I wrote a book about my life, I had to put the story in the book,” he said.

There’s also the time he tried to shed light on a restraining order 50 took out on him, but says he was brushed aside.

“I remember a moment of bringing paperwork up to Hot 97 that had 50′s name — what’s the other dude’s name ...

Fifth Harmony Arm Wrestle Boys On The Set Of ‘Bo$$’: Go Behind The Scenes

by 7 mins ago

With reporting by Natasha Chandel

Haven’t stopped listening to Fifth Harmony’s “Bo$$” since it premiered? Don’t worry, we haven’t either.

Before the “Bo$$” video premieres on Tuesday, MTV News was lucky enough to go behind the scenes on the set with Camila, Normani, Dinah, Ally, Brooke and Lauren to get a sneak peek at what’s in store.

“The concept for the video, it’s very empowering and kind of defines ‘Bo$$’ in different settings,” Ally said. “We have four or five different set-ups and each kind of represents us in our own element, us kind of owning that certain situation.”

Camila continued, “There is one runway scene, there is an arm wrestling scene where we kind of act out a little bit, there’s a performance one, there’s a very fashion forward one.”

Dressed in an all-black ensembles for the video, which was shot in Los Angeles last month, the girls bring their empowering song to life, as they were clearly on some “Michelle Obama ish,” proudly displaying their sexy, confident attitude in each scene. Well, except for maybe one.

“I think the one that was the most fun to shoot, which was actually the one that I was most nervous about was the arm wrestling scene because ugh boys,” Camila said before Dinah added, “It was so hard because they are all so cute.”

Fans will definitely be seeing a “dramatic difference” in the girls since the last video in their style, music and lyrics, but Ally promises it’s nothing “too drastic.”

“As we grow, our ...

Harry Styles Covers His NSFW Twitter Tracks With These Cuddly Kitten Photos

by 16 mins ago

In case you missed it, some keen-eyed individuals discovered that Harry Styles of One Direction had favorited a massively NSFW photo on Twitter, captioned: “RETWEET if you’d lick me clean.” And yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like.

The hashtag “HarryDontLickAnything” is currently trending, but those Directioners are kinda stressing over nothing TBH. I mean, technically Harry didn’t retweet the photo as directed — he merely favorited it. But, I guess that’s neither here nor there…

Apparently alerted to the discovery, the “You & I” singer has since scrubbed his Favorites feed of the porn tweet in question. While he hasn’t addressed the situation directly, Harry has since favorited 12 ridiculously adorable pictures of kittens and puppies and oh my god look at this basket full of pitbull bbs.

Harry also appears to have tweeted a tongue-in-cheek reference to the NSFW photo earlier on Monday (July 7), asking his followers about the weather.

Today’s weather forecast? Cloudy with a chance of shrug emoticons, I’d say.

Alexis Denisof Goes From Fighting Vampires With Buffy To Being A Father On ‘Finding Carter’

by 17 mins ago

Paula Abdul made a valid point with her 1988 mega hit “Opposites Attract.” Where Elizabeth Wilson (played by Cynthia Watros) is a strong-willed, sometimes stubborn, mother on the new MTV series “Finding Carter,” her other, more loveable, half comes in the form of her husband David.

Played by the equally beloved Alexis Denisof, David brings a slightly more lighthearted, almost comical, persona to the drama series, which focuses on a teenager named Carter who discovers she was abducted as a toddler. When the girl reconnects with her biological family, she navigates a new life with her true parents and siblings — and develops a seemingly unbreakable bond with her loving, supportive ol’ man.

Accustomed to balancing dramatic characters with lighter fare, Alexis got his film start in England with the Royal Shakespeare Company following graduation from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. After appearing in various British films, television movies and stage productions, his big break came with the introduction of his comedic character Wesley Wyndam-Price in the hit TV series “Buffy The Vampire Slayer.”

Alexis met his now-wife, Alyson Hannigan, on the set of “Buffy” shortly before his character earned a recurring role on the “Buffy” spinoff “Angel.” It was there that Wesley turned darker and more dramatic, perhaps readying Alexis for his role as mysterious villain The Other in Marvel Comics’ 2012 film “The Avengers.”

True to his earlier days playing a kooky member of the Watchers’ Council on ...
