Piper Chapman doesn’t get dolled up too often. She spends an overwhelming majority of her screen time in a far-from-flattering beige jumpsuit. Her face is practically bare of makeup. Her hair is never curled or thrown in a sexy updo.

But Taylor Schilling, who plays Chapman on the hit Netflix series “Orange is the New Black,” doesn’t have a problem with that. In fact, in an interview for her Allure cover story, she says she finds the whole thing rather “liberating” — primarily because it helps her focus on what she came here to do: act.

“There’s freedom in not having to make it about how my jeans fit or what my boobs look like in a top,” she said of her unglamorous “OITNB” look. “All I have to do now is play.”

She continued, “I don’t feel bound by my face or my body. I don’t feel like that’s the biggest gift I have to offer the world. I feel like there are more parts of me to offer than that.”

From voting on release dates to checking out song premieres, we’ve been anticipating Ab-Soul’s, new album These Days, for a while now. But even with all the preparation we’ve done leading up to the release of the California native’s first project since 2012, which was released on Tuesday (June 24), there was still plenty we were surprised by.

Some things were a given when we pressed play: Soul’s lyricism would be sharp and his mentality elevated; the production would be strong; the sequencing would be on point. But here are some other things that we noticed that added to our listening experience of These Days.

Joey Bada$$ Shows Up

It’s not surprising that Joey is on the album, especially since Soulo was featured on the New York rapper’s own “Enter the Void” in 2012. What’s notable, though, is that about halfway through the second track, “Tree of Life,” the Pro Era MC’s voice emerges — even though he’s not featured on the tracklisting. No complaints about this bi-coastal tree-burning anthem, though.

These days, news of a movie reboot is more often met with a groan than a cheer, but occasionally, a good property finds the right filmmaker to team up for something we can get excited about.

Speaking of which, Shane Black, who directed “Iron Man 3,” has signed on to write the story for and then direct a “Predator” reboot. He’s bringing along his buddy, “Monster Squad” director Fred Dekker, to write the screenplay, The Hollywood Reporter claimed in an exclusive.

A reboot of “Predator” is probably the least surprising thing that Hollywood could throw our way, but I have to say that putting Black and Dekker on this project changes my feelings about it entirely. Not only is Black coming off the massive success of “Iron Man 3,” but he has a history with the series.

Fans of the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie might remember that Black had a small role in the original. The story goes that Fox execs wanted Black to do a rewrite on the script before it went into production. Black was hot off of his breakthrough success with “Lethal Weapon” and turned down the offer. After a few more offers, Fox invited Black to take a small role in the film, hoping that would persuade him to help.

Black again turned down the writing job, but took the part, ending up with these two NSFW jokes.

There’s no word on when the new “Predator” will come together, here’s to hoping that it’s sooner rather ...

When you think of pregnancy ailments, the first things that usually come to mind are nausea, fatigue, back pain, perpetual pit stops and swollen feet. And, as if those weren’t bad enough, Jenni Farley can now add frostbite to the list.

Let’s all say it together: OUCH. This surely hasn’t been an easy pregnancy for Jenni.

So how did the “Snooki & JWOWW” star, who’s due to give birth to a daughter in a few short weeks, develop the medical condition? By overusing an ice pack.

“[The baby] finally popped, and I feel like I’m walking around like a sumo wrestler lol!” Jenni writes in an entry titled “Pregnancy Update: My Crazy 9th Month…” “She’s causing pretty bad sciatica and even though my doctor said it is okay to take Tylenol, I like to avoid it all costs.” (Sciatica is pain along the sciatic nerve, which goes from the lower back, through the hips and down each leg). So instead of taking medication, the mom-to-be opted for an ice pack wrapped in cloth.

“I’m the only person in June who got severe frostbite,” the former “Jersey Shore” castie says, adding that her injuries took one month to heal.

Frostbite and sciatica aside, Jenni just reached an exciting pregnancy milestone: her last ultrasound. And how is her mini-me looking in the womb?

After another disappointing season with the New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony is now a free agent, and NBA fans are waiting with baited breath to see where he ends up. There’s been lots of talk about him signing with the Chicago Bulls, and one Chi-Town native really wants to see it happen.

That’d be R. Kelly. And he’s so desperate for Carmelo to sign a deal in his city, that he’s offering White Castle meals and even a serenade.

During an interview with the Morning Riot in Chicago, Kellz went a little cuckoo for Carmelo. “I would love to see Melo on the Chicago Bulls,” he shouted, completely unable to contain his enthusiasm. “I’ma get down on my knees baby, I would love to have you in Chicago my dude.”

Melo, you should understand that this move would come with some additional perks, courtesy of R.Kelly. “Come to Chicago we gon’ lay out the red carpet,” Kellz continued. “I’ma take you to get some gourmet meals, start you off with some White Castle my dude. I’ll even write you a theme song baby!”

A theme song and White Castle? Sold.

Kim Kardashian is swimming with the fishes …literally.

The reality TV star posted a 10-second video to her Instagram on Tuesday (June 24) of her taking a dip and riding on the fins of two dolphins — all with a huge smile on her face.

It seems the dolphins were just as smitten with Kim since she posted an adorable shot of her giving one of them a big old smooch… better watch out Kanye!

No word on where she was, but it’s possible she went on the excursion during her second honeymoon in Mexico earlier this month.

Kim and Kanye just came off a big weekend as they celebrated baby North’s 1st birthday with a “Kidchella”-themed birthday party, complete with Ferris wheel and bouncy castle.

Oh my god. It’s real. It’s happening. Beyoncé and Jay Z – the celebrity power couple to end all celebrity power couples, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till conscious uncoupling do them part — kick off their much-hyped On The Run Tour on Wednesday (June 25) at Miami, Florida’s Sun Life Stadium, and I for one could not be more thrilled for Jayoncé’s joint stadium tour.

If you thought that Iggy Pop ad from Amnesty International last week was a little off, you were correct. The singer is claiming that he never agreed to his photo in the PSA, which was featured with the ironic tagline: “Justin Bieber is the future of rock n’ roll.”

The Belgium ads were meant to imply that torture (using photos of bloodied and bruised public figures) pushed people into making confessions and false claims. As Iggy Pop stated on his Twitter on Tuesday (June 24), Amnesty is now apologizing for the doctored images.

To generate awareness about our campaign against torture, Amnesty International Belgium French speaking section used an image of Iggy Pop without his authorization.

Even though we acted in good faith, we would like to apologise to Iggy Pop for having done so.

The overall goal of this campaign is to try to influence people’s ideas on the use of torture. According to surveys, a shocking number of people believe that “torture may sometimes be useful” ; more than 36% of people even think that torture is justified in some cases.
