See How ‘Game Of Thrones’ Pulled Off The Shocking Duel

by 06/03/14

Warning: Major spoilers from last Sunday’s “Game of Thrones” are ahead.

Even though the duel is officially over, chances are high that many “Game of Thrones” viewers have replayed the final battle between the Red Viper and the Mountain on a loop ever since the head-pop heard ’round the world.

Indeed, the last stand of Oberyn Martell stands out as one of the very best fight scenes ever featured on “Game of Thrones,” thanks in large to the Viper’s own unique fighting style. HBO has released a behind-the-scenes featurette that reveals exactly how the “Thrones” creators pulled off the epic “Mountain and the Viper” fight scene, which required actor Pedro Pascal to train in the art of Wushu.

“He was more prepared than any actor I’ve ever seen,” director Alex Graves said of Pascal’s research into fighting as the Viper. “It became the easiest thing we shot.”

Less easy, of course, is losing Oberyn from the story. He’s plucked from this mortal coil right at the height of his righteous cause, crushed to death by the vicious Mountain, proving once and for all that in the world of Westeros, the boot always beats the beetle.

In another behind-the-scenes video, show runner David Benioff explains why the Red Viper lost the battle against the Mountain, and what makes him such a magnetic personality.

Were you shocked by the Red Viper’s gruesome demise?

Meek Mill And Louie V Gutta Duke It Out On Twitter After Chain-Snatching Incident

by 06/02/14

By Maurice Bobb

Meek Mill had words with his artist Louie V Gutta over Twitter Monday (June 2) and things got pretty volatile.

After video of a Slowbucks affiliate getting his chain snatched during 50 Cent’s Summer Jam performance surfaced, Gutta, who is signed to Meek’s Dreamchasers imprint, tweeted about karma.

“what goes around comes around…karma,” he wrote.

The MMG rapper didn’t waste time responding to the rapper — whom he’s collaborated with on such songs as “We Ain’t The Same” and “Clique” — saying that Gutta had his chain stolen as well.

“Slow got the chain back u got took chill bro u drawing!” he wrote.

Things got heated, though, after Gudda fired back at Meek while explaining his own incident.

“And u outta pocket tweetin me some sh– when u can call me @MeekMill that’s nut sh–! call me,” he wrote. “and Idc how G a n—a is…if a n—a got the drop on you…and they strapped ain’t shit u can do! f–k y’all want me to box a bullet?”

Miley Cyrus’ Stolen Maserati Has Been Found

by 06/02/14

Judging from her several carefree — and a few straight-up strange — selfies over the past 12 hours, Miley Cyrus really didn’t seem all that concerned when news broke on Monday (June 2) that two people reportedly broke into her Los Angeles home and stole jewelry and her Maserati.

But whether she’s paying attention or not, her 2014 Maserati Quattroporte — which is valued at $102,000 — has been found.

LAPD officers found the car on a street in Simi Valley on Monday, according to The Los Angeles Times. Authorities believe a man and a woman hopped the fence and broke into Miley’s home on Friday. (Miley’s been away on her Bangerz Tour… obviously.)

Miley had yet to comment on the news by press time, but she was blowing up Instagram all day long.

‘Beauty And The Beast’ Star Kristin Kreuk Tells Us What’s Next After Tonight’s Shocker

by 06/02/14

After an eons-long hiatus, “Beauty and the Beast” fans finally got the VinCat reunion they were hoping for on Monday, when the beloved CW show returned for its Season 2 home stretch. The episode offered up plenty of solid romance — that shower scene is one for the history books — but (of course) it also drove a stake right through the hearts of Beasties worldwide by once again separating the show’s titular couple.

But don’t lose hope just yet — Kristin Kreuk herself told us that the whole falsely-accused-of-murder, man-on-the-run thing will actually help bring the lovebirds closer together!

“There is an element of romance to him having to be on the run,” she said over the phone. “It harkens back to Season 1, when he was on the run and she could only see him in hiding. They’re back to that again.”

They’re “back to that” only in the sense that Vincent being a wanted man is a serious relationship hurdle. Otherwise, things are going to be pretty hot and heavy over in VinCatVille — now that Cat realizes that Vincent is her one and only — sorry, Gabe — the couple can focus on working as a team to find out who or what framed Vincent for murder.

“[The conspiracy] is going to inform everything they do,” Kreuk continued. “It’s going to mean that they have to hide, constantly. They’re going to have to pretend to be things other than what they are. They’re going to have to fight ...

Brad Pitt Issues Awesome Statement To ‘Nutter’ Who Punched Him On The Red Carpet

by 06/02/14

Brad Pitt has a few words for Vitalii Sediuk, the man who punched him at the “Maleficent” premiere last week.

See, the actor wasn’t all too pleased when Sediuk — a man known for crashing premieres and awards shows to harass celebrities — jumped the barrier at the premiere and hit him in the jaw.

“I was at the end of the line signing autographs, when out the corner of my eye I saw someone stage-diving over the barrier at me,” Pitt recalled in a statement to People on Monday (June 2). I took a step back; this guy had latched onto my lapels. I looked down and the nutter was trying to bury his face in my crotch, so I cracked him twice in the back of the head – not too hard – but enough to get his attention, because he did let go. I think he was then just grabbing for a hand hold because the guys were on him, and he reached up and caught my glasses.”

Sediuk, who was taken under custody and held on $20,000 bail, previously made headlines for trying to crawl under America Ferrera’s skirt in Cannes.

“I don’t mind an exhibitionist, but if this guy keeps it up he’s going to spoil it for the fans who have waited up all night for an autograph or a selfie, because it will make people more wary to approach a crowd,” he said. “And he should know, if he tries to look up a ...

Justin Bieber’s Racist Joke: Soulja Boy And More Come To His Defense

by 06/02/14

The Internet just about blew up on Sunday after a video surfaced of a 15-year-old Justin Bieber telling a racist joke.Bieber was quick to apologize, calling it a “childish and inexcusable mistake” in a statement to TMZ.

“I’m very sorry,” Bieber said shortly after the video leaked. “I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake.”

But the Internet was divided on whether or not that apology was enough. Over in the comments of our initial post, a veritable firestorm erupted, with user versatyle tha wildchyld saying: “its [sic] amazing how people will rationalize such behavior and then think that an [sic] public apology rectifies the issue, we excuse him because he is ‘famous,’ when we have people who are dying and losing their lives daily over such issues, such a mentality, because we as a people… as a country accept this as the ‘norm.’”

On Twitter, that sentiment was echoed by several users:

Fellow MTV commenter e_hartley agreed, adding “[I] was horrified by the video when [I] saw it,” but there were also quite a few fans coming to his defense — and some big-name celebs, too.

Also sticking up for Justin were long-time friends Floyd Mayweather and Soulja Boy. Mayweather took to Twitter to say the “Boyfriend” singer has been “nothing but kind” to him and his family, while the rapper told TMZ that “Let ...

Did Trey Songz Predict Chris Brown’s Jail Release With His ‘Free Breezy’ Summer Jam Chant?

by 06/02/14

We already know that Trey Songz is a tremendous singer, but Trigger is also a great friend and a possible prophet.

On Sunday, the veteran vocalist performed at Hot 97′s annual Summer Jam concert and blew away the crowd, singing tracks like “Na Na” and “Dive In,” and he even found time during his set to salute his homey Chris Brown and had his DJ play Breezy’s “Loyal.”

“Say free CB,” he said, encouraging the crowd to show their love for Brown, who ended up being released from jail early on Monday (June 2).

“Summer Jam, they said ‘Free Breezy’ and the boy’s home. What do you know,” Songz told MTV News today, bragging about his clairvoyance.

Now, it is entirely possible that Trey knew Brown would be freed hours after he left the stage, but whatever the case, he is very clear about his admiration for his pal. “Chris, I know what he must be going through,” Songz told us. “To have all this music that you’re creating and the world loving it. He got a big record out right now that he can’t even perform. So when I talk to him I let him know that I’m out there repping for you.”

Trigga Trey wasn’t the only one showing love to Chris; Sevyn Streeter, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne all performed their own separate renditions of select Breezy songs.

Maybe it was the “Free CB” chant, or the work of his lawyers, but Brown was released today after serving 108 days ...

So You Want To Live In A Movie House? Here’s How Much It’ll Cost

by 06/02/14

Some of you were jealous of the wheels when Cameron (Alan Ruck) defied his dad and spun off in his prized car in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” but others may have been more intrigued by the glass house encasing the vehicle.

We can’t say whether they’re a movie fan or not, but someone recently bought the iconic Chicago structure for $1.06 million, according to Variety, after sitting for five years on the market and taking multiple price cuts.

Ever look up at the screen at the movie theaters and think, “If I lived there, I’d be home right now”? It would be many a cinema buff’s dream to live in a notable home that made it to the big screen, so we tracked down the sales of five more movie homes that could one day be your own humble (or not-so-humble) abode.

“The Nightmare On Elm Street”

Might as well start off with the house or horrors itself. Lost Angeles’ Genesee Avenue is the true identity of Elm Street, and the three-bedroom house at the center of the action was sold for $2.1 million in 2013.

“Scarface”

Say hello to his little friend’s not-so-little house in Montecito, Calif. As of a few years ago, the fonutain-studded house was for rent for a modest $30k a month.

“Home Alone”

Why The ‘Awkward.’ Gang Should Seriously Consider Public Transportation

by 06/02/14

Dead Stacy‘s tragic drunk driving story may have become a cautionary tale for Palos Hills High School students, but getting behind the wheel is still an issue for Jenna, Matty and their “Awkward” pals. Every time one of the gang fires up his or her engine, disaster seems to follow in the form of breakups, drug busts, shattered glass and more.

But there’s still hope for the age 16-and-up crowd to safely get from Point A to Point B, because as Sadie Saxton proved earlier this season, public transportation is a reliable alternative to the hassle of hatchbacks, sedans and 4x4s. And hopping on a bus, subway or commuter rail is full of pluses: Mass transit is efficient, greener, cheaper and bound to be full of interesting loons!

Below are six reasons the PHHS friends should get their hands on some monthly transit passes. All aboard!

RIP Dead Stacy. The annual Palos Hills High School skit performed in her honor is a reminder of just how dangerous other motorists can be: Dead Stacy was just an innocent, sober prom-goer when a friend’s drunk driving ended her life. Jenna and Tamara‘s interpretation of the story may have taken a few too many liberties (who knew make-outs could bring people back to life?), but still…

Hotboxing is a friend to no one. Smoking inside a car with the windows rolled up is often a choice activity for burnouts, and during Jenna’s downward spiral, she and Collin routinely made ...

G-Unit Is Back: Listen To ‘Nah I’m Talking Bout’

by 06/02/14

If last night’s G-Unit reunion during Hot 97′s Summer Jam wasn’t enough for you — and it wasn’t enough for us — this might help: The crew has reunited on a song for the first time since 2008 with the release of “Nah I’m Talking Bout” on Monday (June 2).

The song brings the Unit together for the combination of slick and tough talk that fans grew to love during their run last decade. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo and Kidd Kidd all rhyme on the track, whose original, “Grindin’ My Whole Life,” is performed by Hit-Boy and his HS87 crew and included on their recent We The Plug release.

I'm serious about these snacks. Catch me @adamfleischer
