On this week’s episode of “16 and Pregnant,” we met Aleah, a reformed bad girl who worked hard to continue her education despite the approaching birth of her daughter, Peyton, fights with her boyfriend, Shawn, and health complications stemming from her diabetes. All the while, she refused to give up on having a career in medicine.

In this bonus scene, we see Aleah meet with her school counselor, Dia, to discuss her goals after giving birth. “My original plan was to be a surgeon,” Aleah explains, “but surgeons don’t have very much time with their families; they don’t have very much time with their husbands. I wanna raise my kids, so that was something I had to give up.”

Aleah may have abandoned her dreams of being a doctor, but the teen has set her eyes on nursing, even though it might take her a long time to complete the requirements.

“Don’t give it up too soon because you are doing medical assisting, which is a plus,” Dia says, reassuringly. “You are one of those young ladies that have the endurance, you have the integrity.” She then encourages Aleah to take her time, stick with the program and she’ll be on her way to nursing school sooner than she thinks.

“I hope that I can still prioritize,” Aleah responds. “Even though, yes, I have this beautiful baby at home, I need to get my career straight to support this beautiful baby.”

“Never give up on that,” Dia adds.

If you were a child sometime during the last 30 years or so, the refrain, “Butterfly in the sky…” will likely do nostalgic things to your head.

Sadly, that jam became nothing but a memory in 2009 when educational program “Reading Rainbow” went off the air, but now, thanks to a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, it’s time for a “take a look, it’s in a book” singalong.

It only took 11 hours for the “Bring Reading Rainbow Back” Kickstarter to hit and surpass its goal of $1 million, with more than 40,000 backers kicking in cash.

Obviously, a lot of folks have been missing the show, which saw host LeVar Burton embarking on reading adventures.

Now that the team has hit their goal, they’re primed to bring back the ethos of “Reading Rainbow” — in a way befitting today’s world.

“‘Reading Rainbow’ needs to come back for today’s kids — but what does that mean?” Burton said in the campaign’s video. “Thirty minutes on TV was yesterday’s world. In today’s world, today’s kids want today’s technology.”

After launching an iPad app in 2012, LeVar and Co. are primed to bring the show to a wider audience — those who might not have tablets at home — by taking “Reading Rainbow” to the Web, complete with an expansive digital library of books and video field trips. Demi Lovato is taking on the world.

The singer announced on Thursday (May 29) that she’s embarking on her very first world tour, appropriately titled Demi: The World Tour.

Demi surprised her Lovatics with the news with a 0:15 video showing the singer in action in concert, ending with the North American cities she’ll be visiting flashing across the screen.

The tour kicks off September 6 in Baltimore and has her visiting Chicago, Miami, New Orleans and Montreal before wrapping up the North American leg of her tour in Newark, New Jersey, on October 25. Additional cities will be announced soon and tickets go on sale June 6, the same day Demi will perform her new single “Really Don’t Care” on “Good Morning America.”

Joining her on the road are Christina Perri and MKTO, whose hit single “Classic” has just been certified platinum.

Demi recently wrapped up her three-month Neon Lights Tour, which had her stopping all through North and South America.

The premiere trailer for Daniel Radcliffe’s very first romantic comedy has just debuted, and I have to say it looks very sweet.

Radcliffe is definitely the stand out in the trailer, even among a stellar cast that also includes Zoe Kazan and Adam Driver.

It’s not uncommon for the new kid at school to desperately crave some company. After all, being a transfer student ain’t easy, as we’ve seen with former Manhattanite Eva on “Awkward.” But the Palos Hills High School senior is almost trying too hard to get in the other teens’ good graces, and after Tuesday’s episode, it’s tough to tell whether her goal is to make friends…or frenemies. Blackmailing resident PHHS bitch Sadie into playing nice? Letting a tipsy Matty and Jake deal with the police? Cuddling up to Jenna‘s ex (even though J-Town said it’s okay, it’s not. Girl code)? Not really the best ways to gather up BFFs.

Not to mention Eva’s incessant namedropping and not-so-humble brags. Homegirl claims to be tight with world-renowned fashion designer Alexander Wang and to take exotic trips abroad with her free-spirit parents. And as far as her love life, she supposedly once “dated” a DJ in L.A. who would fly her out on the weekends…from Switzerland.

She’s a self-proclaimed expert on the G-spot and once swore to a ‘gasm-impaired Tamara that “tantra will release that fire-breathing dragon in your vagina.” How many teenagers do you know who practice tantric sexcapades? On second thought, is Eva even a teenager? The experienced blonde bombshell could be in her mid-20s for all we know…

Rich Gang dropped their self-titled debut album last year, and now Birdman and his crew have returned with their first single of 2014. “Lifestyle” includes features from Atlanta rappers Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug, with production from London On Da Track.

“I done did a lot of sh– just to live this here lifestyle,” Young Thug raps on the hook of the bass-heavy track. “Came from the bottom to the top in this lifestyle.”

With new additions like Thugga in the YMCMB family, Birdman continues to maintain his “flashy lifestyle” with ease, but he actually dedicates this one to his mama.

On Thursday (May 29) he Instagrammed a photo of himself on set with DJ Khaled, captioned “gone be a HOT SUMMER STAY RICH,” which leads us to believe that another album might be on the way. Stay tuned.

It should be pretty clear by now, but a word to those out there who haven’t yet gotten the memo: Don’t mess with Jenni Farley, because she will make you pay for it.

So, what prompted the “Snooki & JWOWW” star to tweet the selfie above of her giving the middle finger? That bold gesture would be directed at online tabloid TMZ, after the website posted a photo of the mama-to-be out and about in New York City on Wednesday. Their headline: “Lil Kim Wowwing NYC With Her Baby Bump,” comparing JWOWW’s appearance to the quirky hip-hop artist’s, who is also pregnant with her first child. And it didn’t stop there.

“Lil Kim walked the streets of New York today sporting the latest in guidette style…which is an odd look for the 39-year-old rapper,” the snarky article read. They also added, “Whatever Kim has been doing, she looks years younger.”

Understandably, the story didn’t sit well with JWOWW and she promptly blasted the publication on her personal website and social media. “@TMZ for making fun of someone 8 months pregnant and her makeup! Keep sucking that d–k on the street corner,” she tweeted.

Later on, the feisty former “Jersey Shore” castie posted a follow-up statement, expressing guilt about the finger photo, but also offering a heartfelt — but stern — message:

“I’m regretting the last pic lol not because I don’t think TMZ is a joke and people like them are the reason why our society ...

From what we’ve been able to tell, the “Annie” remake starring Quvenzhané Wallis and Jamie Foxx hasn’t changed that much from the Broadway musical, despite taking place in an entirely different era. The major differences so far has been changing Daddy Warbucks to Bill Shacks and adding a more modern beat to “It’s A Hard Knock Life.”

A new preview sheds a little bit more light on the updated story, which now involves a viral video and more remixed songs. Also, the word “orphanage” has been swapped out for “foster kid” in “Hard Knock Life.”

“Annie” opens on December 19.

Beats by Ed? Not quite, but Ed Sheeran has landed a starring role in the latest Beats By Dre commercial. Though his paycheck was probably far south of the $3 billion Apple just paid for Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s company, at least the one-minute ad will boost Ed’s bottom line thanks to the soundtrack courtesy of his X tune, “Don’t.”

The spot for the Solo 2 line opens with Ed storming into his hotel room, obviously pissed about something, channeling that rage into a song thanks to the Beats music service and his bright red headphones. The Sentence he creates says it all: In a hotel room, pissed off, writing a song, [with] a 90s hip-hop beat.

A drink, a flashback of a girl taking her shirt off and a laptop later, he’s got a finished tune.
