Avicii Says After Surgery The Party’s Over For Now

Sometimes, the party does have to stop. And in Avicii's case, that time is now. After canceling his appearance at the Ultra Festival
last week due to an emergency hospitalization, the superstar DJ said his doctors have told him to rest and postpone a string of upcoming shows.

"I'm sorry to postpone the shows this month," he wrote on Monday night. "I sincerely rly wish I didn't have to but unfortunately theres no going around it."

The Swedish DJ was unexpectedly hospitalized just before his Ultra appearance and rushed to a Miami Beach hospital suffering from abdominal pains, nausea and fever. He was later diagnosed with a blocked gall bladder and his rep said he was being evaluated for potential surgery to remove the organ.

In March of last year, the 24-year-old was hospitalized in Australia for six days for acute pancreatitis, but persuaded doctors to postpone his needed gallbladder surgery so he could perform the Future Music Festival.

On Friday, he informed fans that he was "feeling alot better" after having his appendix and gallbladder removed. He was slated to play a show in Boston on Thursday and Washington, D.C. on Saturday.

And though he's on the mend, his doctors have told him to chill for now. "Health must always come first and in this case especially after my ruptured appendix that got removed doctors orders have been really strict."

‘Spider-Man’ Spinoff: Here’s Your ‘Sinister Six’ Director

In a few short weeks, Peter Parker battles three of his deadliest enemies yet: Max "Electro" Dillon, Harry "Green Goblin" Osborn, and Aleksei "Rhino" Sytsevich.

But in a matter of years, Spider-Man's villain count will grow even larger and deadlier. That's because Sony plants to unveil a new "Amazing Spider-Man" spinoff, in theaters, as part of the studio's new initiative to expand its line of "Spider-Man" movies.

Drew Goddard, the director and co-writer behind cult horror classic "Cabin in the Woods," was previously tapped to write the "Sinister Six" screenplay. And now, it looks like he'll swing into action as the film's director, based on new information revealed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Even with Goddard writing and directing "Sinister Six," several questions still surround the "Spider-Man" spinoff. For one, which villains will we see in a "Sinister Six" movie? Virtually every Spider-Man villain has occupied a "sinister" seat at some point in time, and one has to wonder if upcoming baddies Electro, Goblin and Rhino will survive long enough to make it to "Sinister Six."

Could Curt "Lizard" Connors come out of retirement for Goddard's take on the Sinister Six? How about Doc Ock, or the Vulture, as both of those characters have been teased in the "Amazing Spider-Man 2" marketing?

No matter who populates Goddard's "Sinister Six," it will likely be a while before we receive any official confirmation one way or the other. Sony has plans to release "Amazing Spider-Man 3" and "Amazing Spider-Man 4" in 2016 and 2018, so unless "Sinister ...

Samuel L. Jackson Spies ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Finale

Keep both eyes open and direct them toward the season finale, airing in just a few short weeks — because that's the next place you'll see super-spy Nick Fury.

Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as Marvel's one-eyed shadow operative in the final episode of "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" first season, according to what the man himself revealed to Vulture this week. He stopped short of spilling any story details ("I don't talk about Marvel's business," he said, "None of us do."), but based on the events of we can certainly take a guess.

By the way, that's your signal that major "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" spoilers are ahead. Last chance to turn away.

Still here? Okay! Let's talk about what Fury popping up in the "S.H.I.E.L.D." finale tells us about where the show is headed.

At the end of "Winter Soldier," S.H.I.E.L.D. is dismantled, and Nick Fury is presumed dead — to the world at large, at least. Cap, Falcon, Black Widow and Maria Hill all know better, as Fury has traded in the eyepatch for sunglasses, and his sleek leather attire for a casual hoodie, all in an attempt to lean into the situation and embrace his "death." Heck, the guy even has a tombstone and everything!

What's Fury up to next? It's hard to say. In his final "Winter Soldier" appearance, he asks Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson to accompany him on an upcoming assignment. The two soldiers politely decline. But there's someone a lot more likely to accept Fury's marching orders ...

‘The Voice’ Recap: See Who Survived the Battles

The final battles of "The Voice" hit the stage Monday night (April 7), and only five singers were left standing on the coaches' teams.

Coaches Adam Levine, Shakira, Usher, and Blake Shelton sent out their remaining singers for the final five battles of the singing competition before the new playoff round, and there was no shortage of impressive vocals, tough decisions, and knee-weakening falsettos from Usher himself.

Here's how the final night of battles went down:

Last Steal of the Show
When Bria Kelly and Madilyn Paige found out they would be matched up for team Usher, they were a little confused. Sure, they're the youngest of the competition, but their vocal talents are completely different. Usher paired them together because he knew that the two singers would help the other overcome their personal challenges: Kelly would benefit from emulating Paige's tenderness and control, while Kelly's confidence would rub off on Paige. On the battle stage, Usher's method proved to work, both singers rising to their personal occasions, although Levine and Shelton were left "desiring more." Shelton even said he didn't think either one stood out. Usher declared Bria Kelly the winner, and with only one steal left in the competition, Shelton hit his button for Madilyn Paige.

Usher's Climactic Vocals
Usher's name was written all over Team Adam's final battle pairing. First, Levine matched up Brittnee Camelle and Jake Barker, two singers he stole from Usher. Then the pair chose to sing Usher's challenging song "Climax." Usher suppressed a smile throughout their performance, and deemed it unfair to critique a performance of his own song. ...
