‘Annie’ Remake Gets Its First Trailer With Quvenzhané Wallis: Watch Now

When we first heard that Jay Z and Will Smith were teaming up for a modern-day "Annie" remake starring Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz and Quvenzhané Wallis at the titular happy-go-lucky orphan, it was hard to imagine what exactly they had in mind.

But now, thanks to the first trailer for the Will Gluck-directed remake, we have a better picture.

Judging from the clip, Diaz makes for a convincingly nasty and rather disheveled Ms. Hannigan, the infamous foster mom who sprays her orphans with a spray bottle and, apparently, is still bitter she's not George Clooney's wife.

Foxx, meanwhile, stars as Will Stacks, the billionaire New York mayoral candidate who, after bumping into Annie on the streets of Harlem, takes her in because, in his words, "the more we're seen together, the better it is for my campaign."

From the official synopsis, "Stacks believes he's her guardian angel, but Annie's self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it's the other way around."

"Annie," which also stars "Bridesmaids" actress Rose Byrne, hits theaters on Christmas Day.

Rick Ross On His Past As A Corrections Officer: ‘I’d Do It Again’

Fans who gripe about wanting more details about Rick Ross' personal life found what they were looking for during Wednesday's (March 5) episode of "RapFix Live." The MMG CEO broke down some essential lyrics from his new album, Mastermind, opening up about family and even admitting that he'd work as a corrections officer again if he had to.

The album's first full track, "Rich is Gangsta," finds Rozay rapping about his reasons for becoming a prison guard, a revelation that first made headlines back in 2008. "Feds tore apart the squad n---a, that's why I had to play the part n---a/That wasn't me, it was a job n--a," he spits, clearly referencing the scandal. "It gets deeper, that was just a start, n---a."

"That particular line most definitely referred to me being a C.O.," Ross told host Sway Calloway. "And that being a job and just understanding the grind and the hustle and anything else I may have done. It's just a job, it's a hustle."

Though Ross initially denied the news, in 2009 he admitted that he was formerly employed as a corrections officer, and today he doesn't regret how any of it went down.

"I wouldn't change nothing, cause to me it's about who Rozay is," he explained. "It's about me. Anywhere I go, when I step in the room, I put it down. People know it's authentic right here, they know it's real, so it was nothing that I was personally threatened with, I was just ready to move on. Let's go get this money, let's make ...

Nicki Minaj Strips Down And Sheds The Makeup In Instagram Shoot

Barbz may not be used to seeing Nicki Minaj sans her eccentric, monochromatic wigs and makeup, but the Young Money empress is consistently giving her millions of followers on social media a front row seat to "Natural Nicki."

Wednesday afternoon (March 5), the took to Instagram to post a montage of revealing photographs of her stripped down to her birthday suit, in various steps of her post-shower process.

In the first photo, Nicki's is shown with her wet hair cascading down her back, while the next one shows her looking straight at the camera, baring a little top cleavage and, from the look on her face, part of her soul. For the third picture, she flashes a playful, dimpled smile before offering up three additional sexy poses from the side, with one in particular where she holds her breasts in her hands.

For the final picture in the revealing series, Nicki is wearing a purple paisley garment, pulling her hair into a ponytail as she looks out towards two white paneled French doors.

The unexpected look at an unprimped and toned down Nicki is likely part of her rebranding as she looks to get back to her lyrical roots. Her upcoming LP, The Pink Print, is expected to be a nod to her days as a raw and uncut mixtape rapper prone to "talk crazy" in her verses and make a name for herself in the male-dominated genre.

In reality, you won't have much luck with this realty — the landmarks depicted in director Wes Anderson's films are fictional, but important nonetheless. The filmmaker's work depends just as heavily on the spaces their characters call home as it does on his signature pastel color palette and sans serif typefaces. André 3000 As Jimi Hendrix: Watch The First Footage Now

The first footage of OutKast's André 3000 as Jimi Hendrix, taken from the upcoming biopic has emerged, just ahead of the film's U.S. premiere at South By Southwest.

To prepare for the role of Hendrix, Andre "listened to hours of interviews [and] watched his mannerisms," and in the scene that began making the rounds Wednesday (March 5), that preparation is readily apparent.

Three Stacks nails the legendary guitarist's speaking voice, as he begs model/muse Linda Keith (played by Imogen Poots) to join him at the Monterey Pop Festival, where he'd gain instant notoriety with U.S. audiences after setting his guitar ablaze.

That famous concert isn't shown in the film; instead, it focuses on the year that preceded it, following Hendrix's journey from New York City backing musician to celebrated London resident. "All Is By My Side" doesn't feature any actual Hendrix songs — his estate refused to grant producers the rights to his material — but rather will feature him performing covers of songs by the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Muddy Waters and Elmore James, all of which were in his repertoire.

The movie, written and directed by Academy Award winner John Ridley — who just took home the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for his "12 Years A Slave" script — made its world premiere last year at the Toronto International Film Festival. There's still no word on when it will be released in theaters here in the U.S.

Justin Bieber Post-Arrest Pee Test Video Coming Soon: Is That Even Legal?

By now, we've seen plenty of Justin Bieber
 partying shirtless in clubs
and flexing while getting patted down by police in Miami after his arrest in January on DUI and resisting arrest charges
.

But if the Miami Police Department have their way, you're going to see way, way more of Bieber than ever. After putting out 18 new photos of Bieber taken after his January 23 arrest earlier this week, they are now prepping an even more revealing video of the incident.

According to E! Online, police will soon unleash two video clips in which Bieber will be seen taking a urine test. The 20-year-old singer, who was charged with DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license in the incident, has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

That got us thinking: is that even legal? "We support the use of cameras in police departments in the case of any police misconduct," said Amy Turkel, the director of communications for the ACLU of Florida. "In this case there is a blurring of the lines in terms what acts are public or private."

Miami-Dade County Judge William Altfield said this week that he has approved the release of two as-yet-unseen police videos of the Bieber arrest once they've been redacted to remove the singer's private parts. Those videos reportedly show Bieber's exposed genitals as he takes a urine test for drugs.

While Altfield agreed with Justin's legal team that the release of the video would be an invasion of privacy, he said the public's right ...

Hot 97 Goes From New York Airwaves To VH1 Reality TV

When it comes to hip-hop radio, New York's Hot 97 has built quite the legacy. Not only has the staff at Hot built a history breaking the hottest records in rap, the storied station is home to some of the game's biggest DJs and on-air personalities — no wonder they're getting their own show on VH1.

The trailer for "This is Hot 97" premiered online on Wednesday (March 5) and stars Funkmaster Flex, Angie Martinez, Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds, DJ Enuff, Miss Info, Laura Stylez, Karlie Hustle and Ebro Darden, the station program director and morning show host.

In the short 30-second clip, we see Ebro berating one of his employees for typing too loud and Funkmaster Flex showing off a new action figure modeled after him. Rappers like Rick Ross, French Montana and Macklemore make brief cameos, and in one head-scratching scene, Rosenberg asks a flabbergasted Mack Wilds if he's ever had a threesome.

There's no telling where the story line will go each week, but if VH1's cameras capture just a fraction of the drama that goes on at Hot, fans will be in for a heck of a ride. After all this is the same station that got into a war of words with Nicki Minaj in June 2012 after she refused to perform at their annual Summer Jam concert.

"This is Hot 97" will premiere on Monday, March 31 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on VH1.
