Watch Russian Police Choir Sing ‘Get Lucky’ At The Opening Ceremony, And Don’t Ask Questions

Oh, you though Daft Punk's funky and intelligent Record of the Year "Get Lucky" was perfect already? So did we, until the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Choir put their own weird, weird spin on it at the Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday (February 7).

And the strangest part wasn't the head-bobbing/shoulder-grooving movement going on in row one, but rather, the fact that the guys have done this before. Just watch it. And don't ask questions.

When the 2014 Winter Olympics' official mascots (the hare, the polar bear and the leopard) weren't hogging the stage, there was also a performance by Russian duo t.A.T.u. — remember "All The Things She Said"? — who sang "Not Gonna Get Us."

Everything Is Awesome, Including Our Real-Life ‘LEGO Movie’ Poster

What's even better than the all-star voice cast of "The LEGO Movie," packed with the likes of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Morgan Freeman? A poster for that all-star voice cast of "The LEGO Movie." Double better? A poster where you can actually see the faces of that all-star cast.

We're all about the primary-colored action of our favorite childhood toys come to (hilarious) life -- and really can't get the out of our heads -- but we also really, really like Chris Pratt's face.

Here at MTV News, we've arrived at a solution that combines the best of both worlds. We've seen all the LEGO-ified real-life objects and posters before, but how about this human-ified "LEGO Movie" poster?

Yeah, that's what we're talking about.

Feast your eyes on our creation above (complete with teeny tiny flying plastic Channing Tatum), and check out "The LEGO Movie," out in theaters today.

Black Lips Shows Might Smell Like Garbage, Cookies And The Moon

Punk rock and garage shows have a pretty evocative scent: spilled beer, BO and (more than) a hint of something herbal.

However, when the Black Lips head out this year in support of their upcoming record, Underneath the Rainbow, venues will apparently get an olfactory shift: Lips shows are primed to smell like myriad things, including cookies, dumpsters and the moon.

If you're currently scratching your head in delighted confusion (cookies! the moon!) it's basically like this: The Black Lips have commissioned a machine that manufactures synthetic smells and they're taking it on the road with them — or so bassist and vocalist Jared Swilley says.

"A friend of ours in France actually makes machines [that] make smells and we're working with him," Swilley told MTV News. "And we've pretty much perfected the technology."

Swilley said that he first came up with the idea a few years ago after hearing that certain factories and restaurants pump out food scents to "create moods or familiarity," he said. The guys also recorded their record above a cookie factory, the smell of which drove the bassist to partake in his share of sweets.

Swilley was also inspired by a dimly recalled experience of watching a 3D episode of "Family Matters" back in the '90s. "You would put on your 3D glasses during one part of the thing," Swilley said. "And [there was] like a scratch and sniff [component]."

"We want to create a smell that will trigger a memory and they'll think of us," he added, speaking of the band's tour, which kicks off this spring.

Specifically, he said, ...

6 ‘Crazy Russian’ YouTube Clips That Would Make Awesome Winter Olympic Events

Russia has been getting plenty of bad press as of late, for everything from the substandard bathrooms (that are probably under surveillance) at the Olympic Village to, you know, President Vladimir Putin's truly awful crackdown on LGBT rights.

And that's a shame, because, really, Russia is a beautiful place ... rich in culture, natural wonders, and a unique blend of lawlessness that's one-fourth Wild West, three-quarters distilled spirits (with a hint of Iron Curtain despondency thrown in for good measure). Seriously, life there is just like except the nearest hospital is 500 kilometers away and Johnny Knoxville not only owns a Soviet T-70 tank, but is allowed to drive it on the highway during rush hour.

In other words: Sh--is nuts there. Don't believe us? Head to YouTube, where there are literally days of "Crazy Russian" compilations available for your viewing pleasure. From dudes wrestling bears and settling traffic disputes with hatchets to vehicles randomly catching fire and the occasional fighter-jet flyover, Russia really seems like the kind of place where anything goes.

And with the Winter Olympics beginning today, it's time for Russia to tap that daredevil spirit and integrate it into the Games themselves. What better way for the nation to repair its public image than by replacing lame events like curling with cool stuff like the 10,000-liter vodka punch-off? Using the vast treasure trove of clips available on YouTube, we've picked some stunts that would be perfect additions ... so long as everyone involved signed a waiver beforehand.

Actually, forget that ...

9 Twitter Friends Lorde Needs On Her Musical Team

"We're on each other's team," Lorde sings in the bang-up single from her debut LP, Pure Heroine. Well, lady, I'd like to see that promise made manifest this year — with scads and scads of collaborations. What can I say? I'm greedy.

The 17-year-old singer has no shortage of admirers and famous friends — at least according to her Twitter feed — so it really shouldn't be too hard to send out a few DMs that are all like, "Yo, let's get together over pizza and other tasty treats and pen a number-one hit or two!!" Am I right? I think I'm right.

Over the last year or so, Lorde has chatted with more than a few folks on the Interwebs that I think she would make beautiful music with. Check out the nine tweets we hope lead to tunes below:

HAIM

HAIM is already rocking out in the sidelines at Lorde's shows, how easy it would be for them to just wander onstage and belt out a verse of "Bravado"... or four.

Diplo

Lorde was down to work with Diplo when MTV News chatted with her last summer. Make it happen, kids, you're chatty enough on the Twits — now take that talk to the studio.

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick already burst eardrums with his Grammy collab with Imagine Dragons, we can only (that band name — dragons) what he and Lorde could do.

Taylor Swift

These BFFs should take it to the next level. Duets.

Grizzly Bear And Vampire Weekend

A Lorde, a bear and a vampire sound like the makings of a far-out ...

Kanye West Joins Jay Z And Jeezy On Rick Ross’ ‘Mastermind’ Track List

There's less than a month left in the countdown to the release of Rick Ross's Mastermind album, and a new trailer reveals that Kanye West will make an appearance on the project.

Back in December Ross debuted his Jay Z feature on "The Devil Is A Lie," and followed that with a big announcement that he and one-time rival, Jeezy, had patched things up and teamed up for a new track called That song is expected to drop on Friday (February 7), but it was preceded by the album's full track list.

Rozay dropped the full lineup in a dramatic album trailer, which reveals that Kanye West and Big Sean will be featured on the track "Sanctified," while Lil Wayne will appear on "Thug Cry," and The Weeknd pops up on "In Vein." The MMG CEO even threw in a little dancehall, tapping Sizzla and Mavado for "Mafia Music III." Diddy is executive producing the project, which is scheduled to drop on March 4.

On Thursday night, a rep for Rick Ross told MTV News that the Def Jam rapper recently acquired a new 109-room mansion, on a 235-acre estate in Georgia, which he planned to develop for his In a Big Way charity. Ross hopes to use the property to temporarily house inner-city youth, giving them a chance to explore options outside of their own neighborhoods.
